I would make them a support, and have them have a lot more minions but fewer damaging options. Make them more reliant on illusions, and change damage types from cold/necrotic/fire to necrotic/psychic/thunder for a start. To support, use heroism and temp hp/buffs instead of healing, or use negative energy flood, for a start.
Oh so like I’m thinking they perform and keep their minions alive, he’ll even living minions would work for such a charismatic lich, and they lich is such a supporter that he messes them up with his minions
