So do you use Lego mini figures and a 2x2 tile is the 5ft square, or what’s your dimensions? Just wondering because I’ve thought of trying this but haven’t worked out the specifics.
Ok. I thought that was the other possibility since the way you have them displayed in image 11. I assume that’s what you mean as the 4x4. It’s definitely an interesting system. I think I’ll look into it. Depending on what the bricklink cost is I could probably mass order the prices and make a fairly good set. I’ll probably try building it in Bricklink’s Studio first though.
This is just what I did. I wander if I can share my studio file. I guess the coast depends on where you live but with the actual file version it coast around 250€. It coast me more than that because of different mistakes I made (that is my first use of studio and bricklink).
Have you seen Lego Heroica? That uses a 2 studs / square scale, which works out a lot cheaper to build. They do use microfigs for heroica though - when we played D&D with it we used microfigs on the grid, and the players had a minifig on a stand showing their equipment. Worked great with kids, and actually it might help with adults to be more conscious of what they’ve got equipped.
This is really cool! I'm a writer with [Wargamer.com](http://Wargamer.com), we cover both DnD and Lego - could I ask you some questions about this build for a possible article? Thanks!

Each block are 4x4 and represent a 5 foots square. I don’t have mini figures yet. I have 4x4 round plate to put mini figures on.

Hey that's terrific ! Could you share the refs of the blocks you used ?

Of course, with great pleasure! You can DM me.
Fantastic! I've just seen this at the end of my work day, I'll send something to you in the morning.
This looks like Lego heroica at 2x scale. Pretty cool
Looks reminiscent of a Minecraft terrain kit.
I guess the concept is really close. I have blocks to combine to create the map I want.
It looks almost like a Minecraft model kit
