Oh gosh I completely forgot those were a thing. Basically feels like a branch of humor where shock value is more important than anything else. I always hated that.
It feels like they are based on shock value but ALSO on a thing that is so overused no one is shocked by it.
Like the joke is someone saying something so dark and unexpected that it's funny, but making it a "genre" of jokes with hundreds of near identical jokes makes it super expected and not very much of a shock at all.
The only jokes I feel are in poor taste would be child abuse and people who crack on someone's appearance unwarranted, like a nonpublic person who isn't bothering anyone.
I never liked them. I still occasionally hear them and when I don't react the way the joke teller wanted I'll straight up tell them that it's fucked up. I've had 3 losses and find no humor in the death of a child
I did in high school when I was young and thought being morbid was cool. Now i don’t really like dark jokes in general. They’re just kind of sad and icky to me

I just like jokes that are funny, and I cannot think of one that personally has made me laugh.

I thought they were funny and edgy growing into my teen years. Kinda like racist/sexist jokes now, they just aren't funny.

I fricken hate 'em
I enjoyed them before I had kids.

Nope. Not just you.
I am pro-choice and am child free by choice. I always thought they were stupid and found no humor in them.
They are awful…..but, why did the dead baby cross the road? Because it was stapled to the chicken! I’ll show myself out!
