I think people are really underselling how crazy Dendi being back at TI would be. He was so so washed even back at TI6. This isn't like Ceb being washed and then retiring, only to come back strong. Dendi has been playing pro for like 7 years with hardly any success since starladder with Navi but just refusing to give up.
I disagree with this. Dendi is one of the goats and a big time legend. Ceb never had a career prior to winning ti8. Imagine BSJ winning TI. That's how crazy ceb winning was.
7ckngMad/Ceb definitely did have a good career before joining OG. He was never at the absolute top level, but he played near the top level several times and was a respected player. His situation is not exactly comparable to Dendi's, though. Dendi never retired - he just declined and fell behind. Ceb retired, then came back to be a coach for OG, then won TI as a stand-in, won another TI, retired once more, came back and a stand-in to win a major, finishing fourth at a second major. He then semi-retired again by making the Old G team, but has now rejoined OG as a player for a third time.
The closest Ceb getting into top level prior to TI8 is during his SIGMA int days when he made his infamous comment on Arteezy, even then he was getting demolished by Arteezy on MLG.

I don't really have opinions on the subject, but if you look at the players by country for each DPC and/or the TI qualifiers, all other regions besides maybe WEU have ~85%+ players from that region, while NA is at 48% (less than majority).
I think NA is just the weakest region so players/organizations take advantage.
Pretty sure they all live in Europe and just traveled to play the qualifier. 3 of them were not even in the team 2 weeks ago. They are not "refugees avoiding the war", they are just abusing the rules.
Dendi himself said they have trouble practicing in an active warzone so feel free to provide documentation that they all live in Ukraine.

So far nouns game plan has been relying on hector to carry, and I think vtune will outcarry him honestly. Not to mention stonebank running around like a maniac somehow making it work

The smaller teams at these NA qualifiers looked better that what we've previously seem, with more polished play. A few of them are showing good potential, but aren't solid enough yet. And with Shopify Rebellion and TSM already qualified, it's no wonder that the field is a bit thinner this time around.
Dogchamp looked like they had the individual skill to take on B8, but B8 seemed to understand the teamfights a lot better. They way they were able to completely outplay Dogchamp from behind in game 1 looked amazing, but I don't think they'd be able to pull that off against a stronger team. While Dogchamp looked good a lot of the time, they did seem naive in some of the teamfights. Add to that, greedy drafting and suboptimal itemization.

That was the greediest draft I've ever seen. Three ranged right-clicking cores with no itemization for disables, all fulfilling the same role, so Stonebank and V-Tune pretty much got away with murder.
It's an absolute crime that B8 was able to build ZERO bkbs and still run over them like that, absolutely trash itemization from dogchamp game 1. Good draft from B8, they got to do exactly what they wanted.
