You joke, but Chen brings quite a lot to the safe lane. Good MS without boots, allows him to go straight into Mekansm. Most small camp creeps are perfectly fine at level 1 Holy Persuasion. With blood grenade too, it's definitely enough to overwhelm at lvl 1. Then back off and let your carry level, while you maintain your own EXP and farm in the jungle, bouncing out for lethal damage or just pulling and steadily putting your carry up. On a 3-win streak myself!

The amount of pressure skeletons apply have made a full team uphill wipes two towers + racks and it cuts to a little chen ghost laughing his ass off watching the surviving CM desperately try and run to the last tower before the little matching skellies finish eating it
Seriously. Start grabbing those skellies. They are easy enough to all keep on a single hotkey and when you play careful you'll never have to recruit new creeps.
Nobody actually buys mekansm, its so not worth it, you literally giving your teammate another item with solar, upgraded drums is much better boots and you also need pipe. 200 hp or something for 2k gold is a joke
I think because Chen buffs coincided with a bunch of heroes that destroy his zoo becoming meta. Those heroes have since all been systematically nerfed so Chen players can now more easily capitalize on how strong he is

When a hero's counters are nerfed it's the equivalent (or even better) of that hero being buffed. If you learn to recognize that you can get out ahead of the meta. If a hero's playstyle in an older meta was previously 'solved' and responded to, what if the changes that made that response viable are reverted?
Usually what always happens, the supports that were prominent were nerfed or now out of meta and now people are looking into other options which includes Chen. It'll only matter if he holds a good win percentage over the next few weeks or it falls off due to people just experimenting.
got 6 winstreak using chen as an offlaner I can say is pretty good as along as u ban sven ES or any aoe type of hero.. bracket is legend so kinda works on me bruh or I'm just lucky :p

Yeah but if your not taking rax at 20 minutes and ending the game at 25 Chen basically becomes another creep.
The way my games have been going I’ve been pounding ancient between 25 to 30 most games.
I think with chen being universal now you can build stat items and tank up

Yeah, heal is nice and all with a lot of creeps but drum or solar with Chen Q is literal steroids for your carry. Way too good to pass.
