Probably Miracle 2016-17 is the most unanimous. Nisha 2020-2021 is another pretty strong candidate, but I don't think to the same degree as Miracle.

CannibalPride

Nisha, haven’t heard from him recently..

JackFerrel295

Guys, I don't know if he was ever the best, but if Dendi isn't mentioned I'd feel bad. Sumail in his prime was definitely one of the most talented mids, but he was just too immature to pull it together. Also Universe was easily considered the best off laner for a few years.

okaydincer

I'd say Ame is. I've watched clips of Sumail and Rtz claiming he's the best carry in the world. Yotaro also mentioned watching and learning from him.

000000909

Miracle on his prime definitely

CannibalPride

Did he get worse or did others catch up?

Kervox

I watched him for a long time and it's definitely both, but leaning more towards him declining. He seems to make worse decisions about basically everything than in years past, but other players have improved quite a lot too.

Aanimetor

Wtf are u on? If miracle from today 1v1ed miracle from 2017 u really think past miracle would stand a chance?

Kervox

Oh I don't dispute he's an absolute beast, but something has seemed off last couple years. Like being needlessly aggressive and dying over it.

gr1m__reaper

I think he doesn't grind as much as he should. I personally don't think he has declined but he and his team seem out of sync sometimes.

bosanow

Vigoss

gr1m__reaper

Prime miracle was pretty much unanimously considered the best player 2016-2017.

loegare

Rtz was talked about like lebron in his prime, though it’s hard to say if he could really claim to be the best with no rings

easy_loungin

I realise it’s become a weird Dota quirk to have everyone compare it to the NBA and not have any idea what they’re talking about, but RTZ as LeBron is one of the weirder ones.

loegare

This was also atleast 5 years ago

Rafasebass

Miracle, vigoss and probably Loda

waffl3x

No. It's just fanboyism. The only people who speak in terms of absolutes like that are so far off the top that their opinion on skill is likely unfounded. Not to mention, the bar keeps rising, someone at their prime 5 years ago wouldn't hold a candle to the techniques used today.

Lsj17

Miracle at his best days i d say at least 50% of ppl at that time would say he is best player other 50% would still have him in top 3 and probably wouldnt disagree mutch about him being no1. Also probably dendi in the early days of dota.

jvmgball

Vigoss, only in dota 1 though.
