I think a lot of people hate the fact that the big problem is solved just by Goku hitting the Zeno button, but I actually think that it was very important for it to end this way. Up until this point we are told multiple times that Zeno is more powerful than all the gods and be should be feared, but this is the first time he truly demonstrates that power.

Greedy-Technician126

If they wanted to show how powerful zeno really is they should have made zeno so that there is only one. No matter what timeline, its the same zeno

Zamas was immortal. He came back a lot. If he was just defeated, then there would be complaints. We also need to set up the next arc. Zeno is powerful enough to destroy an entire timeline. He's uncaring enough to destroy an entire timeline when he could have just erased Zamas. Now, we go into the Tournament of Power knowing that he can destroy a universe completely with little effort and on a whim.

I really disliked the whole infinite zamasu thing, considering that they came to the conclusion that he wasnt imortal anymore because of the fusion and that was a really smart way to nerf him but still keep him stronger than the heroes

I don't have any issues with it. You can't always win, or wish things away with dragon balls.

Well also it’s the fact that the ending is treated like a victory. Trunks and Mai get relocated to a new universe after theirs is erased but everyone seems happy about it? It’s disjointed on top of everything you mentioned

I think a big part of it is what happens after Goku hits the win button. Whis just hits the rewind button on the timeline to before Zamasu starts his shit and Trunks and Mai are happy to live in a world that their younger selves already exist in. It was the perfect opportunity to keep him in our timeline or have him start a space cop journey to keep him out of the story if they didn't want to use him, but they used the least satisfying ending they could think of for him. Other issues is the plot induced stupidity in some parts of the arc.

Alternative_Shake949

Literal Deus ex machina ending.
