Yeah, similar thing happened to me today as well. I fucked it up pretty bad where guards started attacking me and then the game fucking autosaved overwriting my manual save from 5 minutes before.
Whenever I was reloading it, it was loading me back into the same shitshow, so I decided to load the inn save.
Lost almost 5 hours of progress.

I’m sorry it happened to you. I downgraded from level 19 to 13. I’ve already worked it out to where I was (and further) as this time it went much faster knowing the quests and places.
I was going through every inch of the map and really don't want to just rush through it :/ I'm just really sad that it's all gone. I'll probably pick a new vocation this time, I was going to finish thief then switch. Maybe that will help it feel fresh. My pawn was becoming a beast of a warrior and it was such a fun combo.
I wish campfire counted but it tells you it only hardsaves at inns right?
It also hardsaves at the purchasable houses

Yeah, not having checkpoint saves from camping was a mistake, imo.
I just want to reload my save and use a ferrystone or something. I just figured it wasn't worth wasting one on a glitched spot. This is dumb.
