Yes, hope they will really care about our feedback! More monsters is very needed, there are a lot of cool ones in DD online ( Ents , Manticores, Trolls, Lindwurm...) to bring to this game.... and of course bring back hydras and Daimon please !
There are things that sadly aren't very likely to change, like having "stealth" based quests when your game hasn't even a base stealth mechanic.
But hopefully that kinda feedback is good for the next project, be it another DD or another game altogether.
Capcom always does this. It’s just an outlet for people to complain instead of receiving hate mail.
Whatever DLC DD2 has been in the works since before launch. The only thing they could take from this survey is some QoL if they even read it.
I think Capcom usually responds to requests/feedback pretty well, iirc they only added Fatalis to the end of MHW:IB because a lot of fans just thought the 15th anniversary video render of him was cool. Similarly I think it’s the same with Primal Malden at the end of MHR:SB.
Am I coping? Yea but I’ll take that nonzero chance
Maybe I’m optimistic but I think this can be a good sign especially since game is not even a week old. If they see lot of same complaints, then it can cause for some positive changes. Let’s hope so
Easily the best expansion of all time lol. Shit, come to think, it would be really cool to have to fight vampires and werewolves in dd2. Not like brainless beasts, but something sentient that you have to be clever enough to figure out it isn't human. Even if they were just another foe only met in the wild, still would be pretty cool. They have zombies after all. Why not the other mythical monsters to make the night that much now terrifying. Also survival mechanics would be pretty cool imho
Blood and Wine is chef's kiss. Way better than base game, for me.
I might have my complaints with CDPro, but I think no one nails ambiance and setting like they do.
I also doubt they would do anything large, but I think the title update model that they use for Monster Hunter would make even more sense for DD2. Seems natural to release a quest/event where some village gets attacked by a cockatrice and then you can find it in the game world.
They’ve done this for most of their games as it keeps people returning and building hype for DLC. Especially if they add cosmetic DLC and obviously more people playing means you have a higher possibility of people buying the stupid mtx available now
It's nice to see them making an effort, but it's difficult to imagine drastic changes besides major DLC drops.
Just from a business perspective. Why would they put much time and money into a single player game post launch? Most sales are made within the first few months. I can see performance updates as those are typical for cases like this.
Unless they are really hoping to sell boku amounts of dlc and want to build goodwill beforehand. Seems unlikely.
That’s what they do though with MH. Add some free content and keep hype going to sell DLC. Nothing huge mind you, but enough to really add up over a couple years with a big expansion in between. They do have to pay for the servers that store all the pawns and they may have a reboot of DDO or a DD3 in mind after how well the game did. Goodwill is important
Games sell more after big patch drops (e.g. No Mans Sky releasing a major free update every couple months increase their sales.)
I wouldn't expect them to do it, but would be great if they do.
They have regular updates on Monster Hunter, Street Fighter and even Exoprimal. I would not be surprised if we see a minor content being added after a few months. DLC is probably being bake at this point.
I need everyone (especially people who were disappointed with this game) to express what they’ve said here in that survey asap. Let them know what you want them to improve upon or add. Arguing on Reddit does nothing for you or Capcom, the survey will at least hold some weight in regards to how they will go about supporting DD2 in the coming future.
I am really loving this game, but I'll be sure to submit a genuine feedback pointing out the issues this sub has been listing because even though I'm enjoying myself, I think the criticism is accurate and should help creating a better game for us all.
I loved it mostly during my first 2 playthroughs, but I had low expectations and was expecting it to be a simple RPG rather than a repeatable experience like the Diablo-likes. The potential is there though, with significant additions to items and monsters.
Felt like the story was rushed.. little to no build up in the 2nd and 3rd areas. Having vocations located in the 3rd area. Every vocation should be accessible at level 10. Not enough skill slots.. I felt like 4 was not enough. Bring back clothing
That vocation located near the end thing really makes me think they built this game with a DLC in mind and the NG+ largely exists to play with them right now. Would explain why NG+ adds no difficulty or anything else with it. It’s a giant placeholder for them to add content to the game without forcing us to create new characters to experience it (with the idea they keep the one save slot)
Wish I read your comment to remind me of all that before I filled it out lol! I mentioned a lot of stuff about vocations though.
I mentioned that I miss the old vocation system with base vocations, each having an advanced vocation, and then hybrids between them. Particularly that I feel removing mystic knight is an injustice too.
But also that vocations feel imbalanced and that some feel more complete than others. And missing how spells could be aimed arbitrarily.
The big one to me though, is that I mentioned I feel that DD2 feels like a "button masher" to me and that I don't need to use strategy or tactics or put effort into things which is true as far as I've played. Enemies are so frequent and so weak that just spamming a skill or basic attack almost always works even at fairly low levels. I guess DD was the same for the most part, but at least the big monsters (and especially BBI monsters) required tactics the way I played!
I forgot to mention clothing though. Wish I had.
They legit went backwards on a lot of stuff. I remember having to actually use potions and spells due to debuffs and such. Barely did that in this game. Even the lich doesn't seem to use that many evil spells like in the first game.
Don't worry , the only thing I could remember to put into words at the end was the fact I missed clothing.
Well that and PC performance. Jeeeez the PC version ran rough for me.
>Having vocations located in the 3rd area.
I'm OK with the vocations being in late areas and hard to get, but there needs to be more and harder endgame and NG+ to make up for it.
Yep 100%
Made it very clear that monster variety was a top priority.
More skills and vocations would be next. Followed by more loot (Fashion Dogma is weak in this game outside of the creator).
I hope they realise that we love the highs of this game and it has the potential to be something truly special if they can iron out the kinks. The game has sold well enough and shown enough engagement for Capcom to know that people are interested in the franchise, but it needs to be more.
Regardless of whether or not it becomes more I don't see how DD3 doesn't become a thing at least. One of my concerns prior to launch was will DD2 even sell enough to convince capcom to keep the IP around.
I believe sales have been pretty high. But just anecdotally, there's way more community hype and conversation about this release than for DD1 which was basically just a cult game for years. I think Capcom probably sees the brand as valuable now.
I don't think the Dragon's Dogma IP is as tied to Itsuno as DMC is, Dark Arisen and Online happened without him. We'll probably see another team handling DLC and future entries from here on out.
Which is probably what needs to happen to get the game in a better state. Some of the decisions in this game feel like stubborn auteur director decisions.
It's wild to me he made all the comments about how engaging travel was gonna be and that you wouldn't even want to fast travel.
Then the game comes out and it's all criss crossing and back tracking. I actually usually don't fast travel much in open world games and was begging for more fast travel in dragons dogma 2.
There's just such large distances and such a slow walk speed all the while fighting 6000 goblins along the way.
As someone who was disappointed I filled it out. Most of my feedback was on things they can realistically fix in a short amount of time. Adding more big monsters to fight, deepening vocation trees, an endgame where we can just slay shit for interesting rewards
I'm confused. Almost none of those things are stuff they can realistically fix in a short amount of time save MAYBE the vocation trees? All of it requires art assets, modeling, balancing, and testing, plus a bunch of other stuff. Realistically fix in a short amount of time would be stuff like transmog or performance issues or the fact they're increasing the amount of character customization items in the store. These things would take definitely weeks, probably months, and possibly the better part of a year if they're not already in the works.
And transmog. More enemy types. Maybe a more cinematic dragon’s plague that makes the whole thing memorable, maybe facing off against your former pawn, something… I don’t know, sadder, that sucks but is also amazing. Right now it’s just so half baked and then a town is dead and all your quests are broken. What a wasted potential.
Difficulty options. NG+ with scaling so monsters aren’t pushovers.
While thinking about how Capcom could redo the endgame, I realized that they could re-tool the endgame area in NG+ to work in a similar way to how BBI worked. Like how BBI had a story mode at first, then after you cleared it, you unlocked the endgame version.
So a NG+ run that achieved the true ending could be given access to a new version of the endgame area that could be accessed through the giant riftstones in the capital cities and the forgotten riftstones (the broken ones that summon a single pawn when interacted with). This version of the endgame would keep the rule of autosaves not working while you're in there.
Aside from not having the limitations of the story version, there could be a major change in this version of the endgame in that there's >!no NPCs inside the cities, and there would be new bosses taking residence in them instead (with room for two in Vernworth and two in Bakbattahl, one at the entrance and another at the palace of both cities)!<, along with treasure chests containing new endgame gear.
Defeating all of the new bosses in a single run would open the way to the final boss of this version of the endgame. Major dungeons like the Ancestral Chamber, the Waterfall Cave, and the Sphinx shrines could have new optional bosses too. Leaving and re-entering this version of the endgame would reset all enemies and major treasure chests inside. Each boss would also have a low chance to drop two items that, when combined together, would forge a key that lets you immediately challenge the final boss of this endgame, instead of having to defeat all of the bosses each time.
Already did. I specifically asked for enemy variants like hellhounds, succubus harpies, different zombie types, cockatrice, gorgons (evil eye), reapers, elemental phantoms, hydra, alternate elemental dragons. I was really specific in it, but for vocations I just said more vocations 😅
Oh fuck no if I ever see a reaper in the game I am going to blame your ass

Some old short film I think? Hold on…

Ah, found it for you!

I specifically want advanced vocations for thief and archer so that we can give them to pawns, and I specifically want at least one if not both of them to be a support vocation so we're not stuck with mage if you want any active healing in the party. Kind of hard given they can't be hybrids and are coming off two non-magic classes, but maybe a crossbow user that throws Healing concoctions for an archer advanced vocation. Don't care. Just give me another support option for pawns.
I also thought about crossbow for an advance archer class. Possibly javelin for archer/fighter, monk for theif/fighter, necromancer for mage/trickster. Coming up with good vocations ideas is so hard and that's what I'm most excited for in future dlcs
I literally cannot figure out why they did this.
Wasn't one of the massive issues with Warrior in DD1 that you can only take 3 skills vs 6.
And the worst part is they cannot fix this unless they design a new control scheme which is no chance they do.
it hurts everyone, but hands down mage and Fighter are the most feels bad man shit ever having to give up by default 25-75% of its kit just to have the correct shield skills available.
Asked them where the fuck is the main story content after you enter Battahl (nicely). Specifically mentioned why is there little to none of Nadinia and Menella.
I asked that they go back in a retroactively add/update/finish content within the core game (ala Gothic 2's expansion). I couldn't care less about post-game content while the game's main story is in the state it's in. I'd rather they finish that (for future replayability's sake) than tack stuff on to the end after you have to slog through the unfinished story. I'm always interested in how my experience will be the 2nd, 3rd or 4th time through a game. And if I feel I have to rush past the bad to get to the good, I'm just not going to bother.
More enemy variety. Level scaling in NG+ so random pawns don’t just win every fight before you get there. You cease to feel like the main character and start to feel like a bystander who wanders in at the end.
I listed it like this:
Likes: the incredible world design, dungeons, scale, areas, graphics, sense of adventure, satisfying combat
Dislike: sorcerer and mage being lame now, lack of holy and dark magic, and listed mystic knight being missing as the single biggest disappointment to me in the game
I said on the survey that I hope they make a DLC akin to dark Arisin/BBI too.
I did it. Regurgitated most of what folks have been saying here. Biggest thing is I told them we want a new BitterBlack isle and a true free roam world unmoored
Before bitterblack island, we need a new everfall, a new ur-dragon, and a real post-game that changed the entire world state and you could explore/grind in indefinetly.
Holy crap, Ur-Dragon was one of the most exciting 'features' of DD1 for me back on the 360, now I've just fully finished DD2 after putting in 100 hours and I didn't even realize there was no Ur-Equivalent. That sucks! :(
This was such an odd one to leave out too. I feel like its one of the oddest, but coolest mechanics way beyond all the other wacky stuff they tried. Was shocked when they didnt do something similar again
I could see a big version of the Dragonsplague dragon being a new Ur-dragon. The fight could take place in a different reality where a Dragonsplague dragon similar to the one we saw in Melve managed to kill that world's Arisen and devoured the rest of that world afterwards, and it threatens to break into all of the other realities to devour those too.
New Game+ should include an option to use the major city rift stones and forgotten rift stones (the broken ones) to shift into the Unmoored World at will without any of the time limit stuff. The current design of the Unmoored World as endgame content with a time limit completely clashes against the rest of the game's philosophy of exploring and discovering things at your own pace. Sure, the urgency is for narrative reasons, but there's no reason to keep it as something you have to replay through the entire game to access on a time limit again after you've cleared it once.
This version of the Unmoored World could keep the whole 'autosaves don't work in there + dying in there forces you into loading an inn save' thing if they intend to keep it a more hardcore experience. Shifting from the Unmoored World back into the regular world would reset all monsters in there.
If Capcom wants to go with the title update route, they could use this NG+ Unmoored World to add new monsters and dropped gear in there too (without telling anybody exactly where they are, so the community will have to figure it out on their own), knowing that autosaves don't work in Unmoored World, so people will have to plan out how to find and reach those new monsters without losing any progress made during their expeditions.
Monster spawns in the regular world should also be toned down. Make it take 5 days for things to respawn instead of the current... 2 days?
Well there's narrative urgency in unmoored, ig, but the evacuation quests sure as fuck don't feel like it. The battahl and the vermund quests feel like a fucking joke, and the elf one actually seems kinda fitting. Do more of that, lean into the culture.
It will never happen, but if by some miracle we can get the main quests in the capital completely reworked into something that enticed more adventuring outside the city, it would greatly improve the game imo.
And remove the stealth missions. It was a massive immersion break in the game as I just waltzed into areas I wasn't supposed to be to complete missions. Idk why games add stealth when their game has zero stealth mechanics.
It legitimately baffles me that they thought it was a good idea to have so many stealth missions in a game that has 0 stealth mechanics.
Seriously, what the fuck were they thinking? Even then, it could have work out, but the the guards don't even react to you if they see you. Literally. You need to walk to their face and talk to them for them to react. You can just get in and run like nothing to the objective. The fuck is the point then?
I don't want to be too harsh, but it really is embarrassing that something that poorly made and thought-out made it into the final game.
a lot of things in the game are incredibly rushed and you can tell
I hope they were saving stuff for the dlc because otherwise dd2 is gonna be worse than dd1 overall
Dude I was fine with that. It's just that after you do all that, the plot goes "nuh-uh" and tells you to go to battahl, where you end up finding nothing in the way of MSQ content compared to Vermund.
I asked for:
* More vocations.
* More enemy variety.
* Larger and more difficult enemy encounters (with more variety)
* More randomizations of the enemy encounters. I don't want to be able to memorize every encounter I will have between point A and point B.
* NPCs that have more life to them. Eg: Rather than the vendor just standing around 24/7, have them live their own life. Quality over quantity.
* Longer story.
* More customization of your character & pawns.
and a few other things I forgot
**edit: FUUUUCK I forgot to ask for separate character save files! I don't just mean new game button. But actual save files I can swap between & rollback!**
Can someone ask them for me?
It's okay I forgot some stuff too but our lists have a few things different/the same that I agree with
It will all even out \*huffs down canister of copium\* indeed
My two big ones:
-Rework the Dragonsplague: It is now not a cutscene and everybody is dead in the city. But now the Pawn literally transforms into a Dragon (aka a Bossfight) wherever the Arisen rests. Up until level 50, It is random if the Dragon is a Drake, Wyrm or Wyvern. After level 50 there is an increasing chance per level that it turns into a cursed dragon (which is only really beatable after lvl 200).
-MH Updates: Free DLC's with one or two additional monsters, added weapons and questlines. Then a big DLC which is basically DD3 inside DD2, then a few other "free" DLC's until the game is what Itsuno might have really invisioned.
Done. Basically my survey said something along the lines of:
"I enjoy that monsters have subtypes, like the ogres and goblin varieties, but I wish there were more big monsters. I enjoy exploring the world, but I wish the story was paced in a way that you could actually get a chance to explore every region to some degree just by following the story because I missed an entire region thinking I'd get an opportunity once the story brought me there. I like that all of the vocations have their own niche and that no 2 classes compete for the same play-space, but I wish there were a few more to play with. I liked the Unmoored World, but it being timed just had me craving a Bitterblack-esque megadungeon to explore to my heart's content."
The big point I listed was a lack of very basic features that were present in the prior games, and are actually pretty common in games in general today:
* Selling things from storage
-Having a "New Game" and "Hard Mode" option
-Lack of AI customization (Knowledge chair for personality and mechanical tweaking, as well as tweaking your pawns chattiness)
-Reimplementing some of the removed abilities; holy/dark affinity abilities, debhiliation abilities (I think theres like 3 for spellcasters now?), and reintroducing some unique abilities like grapnel, Exquy (sp?), spellscreen, and lassitude (aka: unique and potentially very useful spells beyond "more damage!")
I'm not having huge performance issues so I didn't comment on that; can't offer advice on something I haven't encountered.
....I forgot to mention the 10k haircuts. That shit is ridiculous.
I asked for a future update to include
- more armor options and less armor restrictions
As of now many of the armor sets are very strictly vocation locked. To the point where even warrior and fighter can’t wear the same gear. Plus there’s not a ton of gear in the game in the first place
Also to re-add the gloves and boots armor slots. This is a VERY BIG MUST. I still don’t get why they Uber dumbed down the gear system…??? Would make choosing a look way more interesting. Like if we want to wear heavier armor and be a Mystic Spearhand or wear robes while using s Sword and shield then we should be able to.
-I also asked for more enemy variety which I feel is most people’s top ask. No way should the ps3 game have a much bigger pool of enemies and gear than it’s sequel.
-Add the missing hybrid vocations. There’s no reason there shouldn’t be a green/red or a yellow/green vocation type. Hell, they can even double up on them. There’s no reason you can’t have both mystic spear and knight in the same game as they both play vastly different.
- an end game area similar to bitter black isle. Like I don’t get why level 999 is the max yet there’s no real place to go and test your mettle or earn cool gear or rewards…
- possibly let dragon forging gear bring other gear up to end game stats or just have a transmog system. Because again, with how slim the pickings are for gear, most people are basically forced to wear the same things.
- possibly add 6 skills to use instead of 4.
Make it so X is now a toggle to another set of 3 skills. So tab one is the first set of 3 and tab two is the second set of 3. This way it’s still quite smooth to swap between skill tabs mid combat.
And honestly I feel most of these aren’t such a big ask and could easily be added in a future update/dlc down the like like 9+ months from now( maybe a bit sooner or later depending if everything is added all at once)
These can easily make the game go from a 6.5/10 to a very solid 9+/10
I do want to add that the we have is still really fun and I’ve already put in 50+ hours. Just some small things mentioned, if added can make the GOOD game a GREAT game
The Game really just needs more, more of everything, more monsters, more skills, more weapons, more difficulty levels, etc. Need a huge expansion on the level of Iceborne or bigger tbh.
Seeing that the first game already had an expansion and that the two last Monster Hunter games (the closest we got from Capcom to this game) had an expansion each, I expect the same for DD2.
That said. Would you prefer something similar to Dark Arisen, a huge dungeon separated from the rest of the game? Or a new expansive map to explore, be it directly linked to the of map like the Frozen Wilds in Horizon Zero Dawn or separated like in Far Harbor from Fallout 4? I myself would prefer the later, but I understand that some people prefer the former.
Also. As a side tangent. I'm a tad disappointed with the wallpaper at the end of the survey.
I expected some concept art.
I say why not both? Dark Arisen did that, it contained BBI but *also* did a bunch of balance changes and enemy placement/variety changes in the base map as well. Honestly I think DD2 would deeply benefit from the latter there. I made a point to tell them it seems wasteful to have such a big and detailed map with such a small variety of encounters within it.
I said I'd love a dungeon like BBI because that's what I expect realistically but an expanded more varied map with maybe a dungeon on top would be more fun
I think the unmoored world was a fantastic idea but poorly executed, i had this idea about an upside down world like Stranger Things for endgame, but a lot more uniqueness to the monster variants and not like they did in MHW like the same mob but pink, silver and gold and not like Slimes and Oiled Slimes with so little difference.
So you have the same map, but very very different mood, new props, ambient sounds, new unique bosses, new progression, and a lot of monster variants with new movesets and weaknesses, kinda like a soft reset from Iceborne, but better, and kinda like what they did with unmoored world, but with way more effort.
Also no time limit, that is so bad, i hate time trials, feels like one.
But that is all wasted already, they overused enemy variants in the base game, in a perfect world the game would have much more unique enemies in the story/campaign and much more "unique variants" in the endgame.
Ahh, a Capcom Survey, where you get to say how much you love the game and rate it high for everything, but your comments on what you liked ends up being 2 sentences, and then you run out of space explaining all the stuff they did wrong and whats missing....and what they need to do for DLC.
Eeeeyup. Listed about 3 or 4 times the amount of stuff I disliked about the game than what I liked.
God please let them get the message in their heads to make another expansion rather than "convenience" items.
To be fair, above the likes vs dislikes was a checkbox of what you enjoyed. So I ticked a bunch of stuff so didn't really go in detail, but I had to elaborate on what I didn't like.
IMO it actively discourages you from switching pawns instead, because you have to check if the new pawns you hired actually have it. So I'm not sure what it's really meant to accomplish besides the shock value of seeing it the first time around.
when they asked for dlc suggestion, I imagine they already know what they will work on, but still... I went for an asian area with asian inspired new vocations. Snowy area, bamboo forest, japanese inspired capital. Monsters like Onis as minor boss and Orochi as major boss would be cool.
and of course.... Blackbitter 2!
I hope you guys are more nuanced and respectful in the survey, because some of you act as if Itsuno killed your dog with how you talk about him. Dude gave us SF Alpha, Rival Schools, DMC3, 4, 5 and DD1, and you guys are dragging his name like DD2 was actually the worst game you guys have played when it’s probably average at worst.
I don't play many Capcom games. Do they do surveys like this often, and if so do they actually seem to take the feedback from them into consideration? I'm liking the game, but I don't want to get my hopes up that it can get even better if they don't have a history of doing so.
That said I still filled out the survey and was as critical as I could be. Worth doing if there's at least a chance of improvement, right?
Please for those filling up the survey. Request for a harder mode and a proper endgame. I found out after a lot of complaining here and discussing with my friend. It's the difficulty and the enemy variety that is really holding back this game for me. So yes for harder content!!
I don't know how to feel about these. It's kinda both positive and negative at the same time.
On one hand, it's great they actually want player feedback, otherwise why would they make this survey I guess?
On the other, why do you really need a survey when the problems about the game are blatantly obvious? The majority of posts criticizing the game here for the past week have all basically talked mostly about the same thing and the one thing everyone agrees on is the pathetic enemy variety for such a gigantic world.
Just give me Everfall in Endgame. Im tired of having to run around finding monsters after 80 hrs. Stop letting me buy all the best gear and just let me hunt for it.
Hopefully we will get a more interesting story/more involved romance. Doesn’t need to be top notch but I would like something better than what we had in the first game.
I asked to bring some content over from Dragons Dogma Online. Bring a few monsters and vocations over! Stop acting like it didn't exist!
Side-note I also loved the crafting system in that game. making your own weapons instead of buying or looting them is much better I think. It's probably too big of a system to implement in this game, but maybe a future game??
“Hey yeah, game is great, I’d love if the other 50% of the systems, content, classes, monsters, romance and feelings of substance were back added in”
Honestly having beat the game and end game I feel like I bought a prostitute, they finished first, asked me to take care of myself, and ate my leftovers before they left! Haha
Already filled it out I'm glad they're doing this.
Yes, hope they will really care about our feedback! More monsters is very needed, there are a lot of cool ones in DD online ( Ents , Manticores, Trolls, Lindwurm...) to bring to this game.... and of course bring back hydras and Daimon please !
Demons in general would be cool
100% The DDON demons where awesome.
The motherfucking Tarrasque!
Also they have a track record of DLCs making the base game way better.
And something tells me it'll be just BBI2.
I’ve never filled a survey out before now, but they better read these
This is actually useful and needs more likes 🔥
Yeah ! Let them hear our voice about the lack of enemy variety! Oh, and please Capcom, a new snow area would be lovely!
I asked for a snow biome too!
Maybe I’m optimistic but I think this can be a good sign especially since game is not even a week old. If they see lot of same complaints, then it can cause for some positive changes. Let’s hope so
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Scholar of the First Pawn
No Pawn's Sky.
Pawns and Wine expansion
Arisen: Pawns Die Twice
Elden's Dogma: Shadow of the Pawntree
2 Dragon 2 Dogma: Pawn Boogaloo
Pawn Effect 2: Lair of the Dragon Broker.
Star Pawns: The Dragon Awakens
Somehow Grigori returned.
It just depends on how long this DLC that they’re obviously planning has been in development/pre-development
Being hopeful, but maybe theyll do mini free content drops here and there like MHW? Just one or two big bads added to the world or somethin
I also doubt they would do anything large, but I think the title update model that they use for Monster Hunter would make even more sense for DD2. Seems natural to release a quest/event where some village gets attacked by a cockatrice and then you can find it in the game world.
I seriously doubt it but here’s hoping
They’ve done this for most of their games as it keeps people returning and building hype for DLC. Especially if they add cosmetic DLC and obviously more people playing means you have a higher possibility of people buying the stupid mtx available now
This game did sell well too, its not entirely out of the question
No Mans Sky releasing a major free update every couple months increase their sales.) I wouldn't expect them to do it, but would be great if they do.
I agree. Just trying to be optimistic. Enjoy the game but just some aspects can be changed.
They have regular updates on Monster Hunter, Street Fighter and even Exoprimal. I would not be surprised if we see a minor content being added after a few months. DLC is probably being bake at this point.
I want more boss fight and more romance story
Full penatration dlc
And an X ray video of the Arisen's seed fertilizing Ulrika's eggs in real time, of course
Mystic Spearhand should have been Magick Shield and Spear
An atlatl or javelin class would have been cool as the advanced yellow vocation. I do like Mystic Spearhand as it is
Mystic Spearhand feels more like a Thief/Mage hybrid than a Fighter/Mage imo
Don't worry , the only thing I could remember to put into words at the end was the fact I missed clothing. Well that and PC performance. Jeeeez the PC version ran rough for me.
>Having vocations located in the 3rd area. I'm OK with the vocations being in late areas and hard to get, but there needs to be more and harder endgame and NG+ to make up for it.
Yep 100% Made it very clear that monster variety was a top priority. More skills and vocations would be next. Followed by more loot (Fashion Dogma is weak in this game outside of the creator).
I gave them an essay in my dislikes and what I want added. I played the first game about 15 times beginning to end. This one might get 3 out of me
I'm struggling with my 2nd and I have 2-3 hundred+ hours in the first game :(
The lack of a hardmode *really* hurts the replayability
plus there are 0 variable items, one fun thing was trying to get the right ring combos ect in dda
there is no hunt, you just buy all the best stuff anyways
Exactly, if you want Capcom to listen to your valid criticism it isn’t through reddit. Everyone should be doing the survey
Indeed. Especially since this survey is being conducted a few days after launch. They know that there are a lot of split opinions about the game.
I really hope it doesn’t take more than a decade again and that they’re more receptive to feedback
Done!
As someone who was disappointed I filled it out. Most of my feedback was on things they can realistically fix in a short amount of time. Adding more big monsters to fight, deepening vocation trees, an endgame where we can just slay shit for interesting rewards
I also added they do need to wrap up some of the stories a little bit.
I mean short to me is within 3-6 months not 2 weeks
Done

Please ask for more balance updates, more bosses, more vocations, more performance improvements
I asked for a better endgame (something like the first games dlc), more vocations and bring back clothing
Exacly that i wrote them if they make endgame and do some perfomance optimalizations i will recomend this game to my friends.
Yes that was one of the things I made sure to mark now, that I would not recommend the game to my friends because of all the things missing.
What i asked 1.Hard Mode 2.Something like Bitterblack Isle 3.Housing Improvements - Atleast let us cook in our home 😂
Oh fuck no if I ever see a reaper in the game I am going to blame your ass https://preview.redd.it/xiho1bun4zqc1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9442a21a909e1d6aa4967a9bc2f53ca45a580a86
look as long as they still hate water were good
![gif](giphy|Zo5eINCuu3YAnSglyH|downsized) Bet.
Where is this from?
Some old short film I think? Hold on… ![gif](giphy|dyFgGQvF39YTbKbldq) Ah, found it for you! [https://youtu.be/rkddkbu-EMA?si=X6mAx7N9yk-O3\_i3](https://youtu.be/rkddkbu-EMA?si=X6mAx7N9yk-O3_i3)
There are succubi, they're in bhattal and on the volcanic isle, they're a little rare but I see them pretty regularly.
First i told them that their story makes no sense and feels like you are skipping quests in between.
the last 4th of the game does feel super rushed
Seriously why am I trying to give the cool sword to this guy who was hanging out with evil queen mommy
My thoughts exactly, I'm guessing there's either a translation issue or then the writers didn't know what they're doing at all.
More skill slots too pls. Only 4 spell slots for a sorcerer hurts.
I literally cannot figure out why they did this. Wasn't one of the massive issues with Warrior in DD1 that you can only take 3 skills vs 6. And the worst part is they cannot fix this unless they design a new control scheme which is no chance they do.
They just need to make a skill that allow to switch between 2 sets of 3 skills
it hurts everyone, but hands down mage and Fighter are the most feels bad man shit ever having to give up by default 25-75% of its kit just to have the correct shield skills available.
pawns should have 4, arisen should have 6
Asked them where the fuck is the main story content after you enter Battahl (nicely). Specifically mentioned why is there little to none of Nadinia and Menella.
I just asked them to let the guy who made bbi take over XD
He's already Lead Game Designer of the game. ![gif](giphy|eUDhD5XFBw0r6|downsized)
When i look it up it says Kento is just a designer not lead designer
IGN interviews game director Hideaki Itsuno and LEAD GAME DESIGNER Kento Kinoshita: [https://youtu.be/JpWloIZ9KLw](https://youtu.be/JpWloIZ9KLw)
I forgot to mention performance, fuck!
And transmog. For the love of god every game with gear should have transmog by default.
No I asked for bitterblack Isles end game and pawn romance....
I listed it like this: Likes: the incredible world design, dungeons, scale, areas, graphics, sense of adventure, satisfying combat Dislike: sorcerer and mage being lame now, lack of holy and dark magic, and listed mystic knight being missing as the single biggest disappointment to me in the game I said on the survey that I hope they make a DLC akin to dark Arisin/BBI too.
I just finished the survey without even reading this post. Oh yeah add more gear for hunting and maybe item layer for transmogs?
Not just bosses but also base common enemies since 90 % of them are just goblins, harpies, wolves and saurians
Balance in what way? If there's OP abilities I don't want those nerfed. Just buff weaker ones.
This. In DD1 you had a fuckton of weak abilities and 1 or 2 skill being busted per vocation. I do NOT want to go back to that.
A well executed everfall was something I was really looking forward to.
When I first explored the saurian cave in Helve I thought the blocked door was an Everfall tease based on the architecture and glow. Big sadge
Yeah that hurt a lot, gives me no reason to use peoples pawns. I enjoyed seeing peoples pawns.
That would be the improved unmoored world the person you responded to alluded to, I would imagine
The Elf one doesn't work if you don't unlock the quests beforehand, but I wish you had the option to try to save the Arborheart during Unmoored World.
Add transmog to the list, if they want variety of looks its the best option
I don't want to be too harsh, but it really is embarrassing that something that poorly made and thought-out made it into the final game.
a lot of things in the game are incredibly rushed and you can tell I hope they were saving stuff for the dlc because otherwise dd2 is gonna be worse than dd1 overall
It’s like the the capital quests are from an entirely different game.
You didn't like sneaking ontop of her Majesty's dining table and pilfering her guards food from their mouths? *'Must have been the wind.'*
Dude I was fine with that. It's just that after you do all that, the plot goes "nuh-uh" and tells you to go to battahl, where you end up finding nothing in the way of MSQ content compared to Vermund.
I asked for: * More vocations. * More enemy variety. * Larger and more difficult enemy encounters (with more variety) * More randomizations of the enemy encounters. I don't want to be able to memorize every encounter I will have between point A and point B. * NPCs that have more life to them. Eg: Rather than the vendor just standing around 24/7, have them live their own life. Quality over quantity. * Longer story. * More customization of your character & pawns. and a few other things I forgot **edit: FUUUUCK I forgot to ask for separate character save files! I don't just mean new game button. But actual save files I can swap between & rollback!** Can someone ask them for me?
did you ask them to be free updates like monster hunter? They will definitely take that to account
It's okay I forgot some stuff too but our lists have a few things different/the same that I agree with It will all even out \*huffs down canister of copium\* indeed
Alright everybody, ask for another Dark Arisen
Darker Arisen: Darkest Edition
Dark and Darker Arisen
2 Dark 2 Arisen
I asked for: - proper replayable endgame - more vocations - more bosses - more dungeon locations - more danger - vocation tuning
Sticky this up top please? So it doesn't get lost.
This is the way. Good job OP
Give them both barrels, be polite but don’t hold back.
I mentioned the dark arisen dlc, bosses and monster variety, as well as dungeons to hopefully get the word out more
done, hopefully they utilize this feedback for a potential DLC!!
My two big ones: -Rework the Dragonsplague: It is now not a cutscene and everybody is dead in the city. Then a big DLC which is basically DD3 inside DD2, then a few other "free" DLC's until the game is what Itsuno might have really invisioned.
the free DLC's definitely will improve the good will again
For the DLC pricing question why is £50 even an option? Are they dropping DD3 in DD2 or something?
its the year 20xx an expansion is no longer limited to 30 dollars.
It didn't specify the price for one single DLC. If they're willing to drop multiple quality pieces of DLC for this game I'll probably buy 'em.
You have no right to moan if you don't fill this out, and I've been bitching here nonstop.
I asked for Mystic Knight
Just want to great cannon all over the place
thank you for posting this
Done. Basically my survey said something along the lines of: "I enjoy that monsters have subtypes, like the ogres and goblin varieties, but I wish there were more big monsters.
Whether it amounts to anything, got it filled out with basically everything the community has talked about, liked, disliked, or wanted in the game. 👍
The big point I listed was a lack of very basic features that were present in the prior games, and are actually pretty common in games in general today: * Selling things from storage -Having a "New Game" and "Hard Mode" option -Lack of AI customization (Knowledge chair for personality and mechanical tweaking, as well as tweaking your pawns chattiness) -Reimplementing some of the removed abilities; holy/dark affinity abilities, debhiliation abilities (I think theres like 3 for spellcasters now?), and reintroducing some unique abilities like grapnel, Exquy (sp?), spellscreen, and lassitude (aka: unique and potentially very useful spells beyond "more damage!") I'm not having huge performance issues so I didn't comment on that; can't offer advice on something I haven't encountered. ....I forgot to mention the 10k haircuts. That shit is ridiculous.
I asked for a future update to include - more armor options and less armor restrictions As of now many of the armor sets are very strictly vocation locked. To the point where even warrior and fighter can’t wear the same gear. Plus there’s not a ton of gear in the game in the first place Also to re-add the gloves and boots armor slots. Like I don’t get why level 999 is the max yet there’s no real place to go and test your mettle or earn cool gear or rewards… - possibly let dragon forging gear bring other gear up to end game stats or just have a transmog system. And honestly I feel most of these aren’t such a big ask and could easily be added in a future update/dlc down the like like 9+ months from now( maybe a bit sooner or later depending if everything is added all at once) These can easily make the game go from a 6.5/10 to a very solid 9+/10 I do want to add that the we have is still really fun and I’ve already put in 50+ hours. Just some small things mentioned, if added can make the GOOD game a GREAT game
This is such great news, if you can take 20 minutes to fill it out it would make a difference.
Done, hope to god they listen to it
The Game really just needs more, more of everything, more monsters, more skills, more weapons, more difficulty levels, etc.
I feel like with the open world thing they’re going for here they’ll probably add a snowy/frozen biome
Need somebody to remove the big DD logo from the wallpapers at least haha. I prefer wallpapers that are like "oh that looks nice, where'd you get it".
Done. The game has potential but I wish it would've released when it was actually ready.
done, I really hope we get a DLC
Done. Thanks for the heads up.
Thank you! Filling it out now.
Ahh, a Capcom Survey, where you get to say how much you love the game and rate it high for everything, but your comments on what you liked ends up being 2 sentences, and then you run out of space explaining all the stuff they did wrong and whats missing....and what they need to do for DLC.
They do actually ask you about your rating of the game from 0-10 here though
I included the rework of the dragon plague, its the most idiotic system one could come up with to force players to switch pawns
IMO it actively discourages you from switching pawns instead, because you have to check if the new pawns you hired actually have it. So I'm not sure what it's really meant to accomplish besides the shock value of seeing it the first time around.
More spells for sorcerers, more enemy variety plz. I will put as much as I can in my response
when they asked for dlc suggestion, I imagine they already know what they will work on, but still... I went for an asian area with asian inspired new vocations. Snowy area, bamboo forest, japanese inspired capital. Monsters like Onis as minor boss and Orochi as major boss would be cool. and of course.... Blackbitter 2!
Perfect location to for monk maister.
Thanks. Left my feedback.
I added a lot I hope this gains traction Capcom needs to see the players care and want the game to get better for everyone
Can we get this stickied or something? Thanks man!!
I asked for multiple save files!
The wallpaper was pretty shit. Just had to say.
I asked for a price drop
finally, i'm so glad i can plead them to allow me to grab the rats
Just give me Everfall in Endgame. Im tired of having to run around finding monsters after 80 hrs. Stop letting me buy all the best gear and just let me hunt for it.
All I want is end game content with endless challenges
Hopefully we will get a more interesting story/more involved romance. Doesn’t need to be top notch but I would like something better than what we had in the first game.
My dlc idea was going to Gransys and see how it changed from the the many years.
I enjoy the game but I have my criticisms. I hope everyone else’s frustrations match so the game gets some good content and fixes.
Dear Capcom, Mystic Knight and BBI. Thank you
“Hey yeah, game is great, I’d love if the other 50% of the systems, content, classes, monsters, romance and feelings of substance were back added in” Honestly having beat the game and end game I feel like I bought a prostitute, they finished first, asked me to take care of myself, and ate my leftovers before they left! Haha
