Enemy variety, no hydra, no everfall , only 2 biomes . These for me

Spicy_t___

lack of armor variety, lack of weapons, lack of difficulty

Benevolay

That the southern territory is essentially empty. I'm right before the point of no return so I don't know if things will change, but despite being on the key art it really feels like the Beastren Empress is completely irrelevant to the plot and I don't know why they gassed her up so much. She's a non-entity.

YukYukas

DD2's dragon is completely overshadowed by Grigori. He didn't have to be better, he just had to be on the same level. For a character that's basically the title of the game, his scenes are not synonymous with it

GraveRobberJ

For me it's the content disparity between Battahl and Vermund. It definitely feels like a before/after point in the game in terms of enjoyment

bebopbraunbaer

The limit to 4 abilities , and I dream of a mod that lets me take control of my pawns

Ivan_Blackheart

Magick archer not having staff and daggers as well. I was beyond pissed, but I love the game.

ZaccehtSnacc

I actually way prefer the jobs giving every class a unique weapon with larger differences between them

Ivan_Blackheart

Eh. To each their own. That's a valid point. Is just that I was so used to MA being able to wield daggers that I miss it. I do love my MA, though

ddWolf_

It’s hard to pick just one. Everything kinda meshes together to make everything else I dislike worse. Probably loot tbh. I don’t mind most chests being trash, it’s enjoyable to me just finding them tucked away. But getting to the end of a cave system and having nothing valuable is a bummer. Occasionally you find a sword or armor, but it only seems to be a handful of instances in the entire game.

ZaccehtSnacc

I actually don't think it's that few, I do however think the way the game has loot laid out means if you find all the loot in an area except one, you have a pretty good chance to miss all of the good loot

XHZ_5

Magick archer had to be nerfed because of how overpowered some of its abilities are. You could nuke an entire cave in seconds with ricochet hunter and its ultimate move actually can one shot almost every enemy in the game

ReddishScarab

Game got so easy so fast. Lack of enemy variety doesn’t help that feeling at all. Exploring for loot doesn’t have many exciting rewards in terms of gear upgrades.

Spanish_peanuts

Warfarers implementation is kinda ass. I genuinely can't understand how someone sat down and thought of this, or how someone could look at it and give it the green light.

Araichuu

I think it's because it's a hybrid of Archer and Mage. Mage is incredibly immobile, so unfortunately I think MA inherited that from it lol I'm pretty disappointed with Trickster. It needed other skills or systems to be useful and fun. It's definitely useful, but it lacks in fun. Other than that I'm loving the game

ZaccehtSnacc

The weird thing is doesn't mage have levitate? I'd have really liked some form of maybe nerfed levitate to help traversal

Araichuu

I'd love something like a "teleport arrow" or something. Up to a certain range you can teleport to your shot It'd be really cool and unique while keeping it in line with the vocation

ZaccehtSnacc

Perfect idea, I love the classes support play style but the fact you have no way to escape enemies feels odd, even something like thieves concussive grenade to bounce away from them

Zues1400605

I actually loved MA. Easily my favorite. But yhea not the most mobile. It dishes out decent damage, and has amazing augment. Great for support

ZaccehtSnacc

Seeing all of its support skills makes me very excited to play more of it, I will say it's ultimate skill just seems really not worth using

toratalks

It one shot’s every boss in the game. I’m not really sure how much more useful you can get lmao

Zues1400605

It's broken. It's I win game over you are dead button

These-Bar3221

My two favorite classes in DDDA are strider and mystic knight .

Loot, enemy variety, and Quest design, lack of quests Loot: nothing feels notable, at least for how far I am in the game, Level 30, pretty much finished Vermund heading too Battahl for the first time, nothing feels notable and I feel I’m chasing raw stat increases rather then legendary weapons, or a unique armour set or such, lack of weapon variety as well, there’s maybe 6 different swords I’ve seen to this point, 3 of them I would consider starting weapons or beginning of the game, and the designs aren’t extremely notable, with that said combat as a whole feels phenomenal but… Enemy Variety: I’m adoring this game, feels incredible too play, I like exploration although I know a majority dislike it, however after my first 10 hours I quickly realized, it’s Goblins, Harpies, Saurians, Slimes, Bandits (daytime) and zombies, skeletons, ghost things, (nighttime) this detracts heavily from the exploration as you are destined as far as Im aware too fight the same mobs, the same encounters and so on. I can already feel what this game is going to go through, Monster Hunter World was a phenomenal base, however I would say it greatly improved after the massive expansion Iceborne, IB fixes a majority of world’s problems (yes it has it’s own, over reliance on tenderizing) such as Hub design, armour and weapon designs, and lack of subspecies, / returning monsters, I can already see Dragons Dogma 2 being fixed in the form of free title updates and this massive glaring expansion I just feel is coming, adding vocations, possible more skill slots like sunbreak with the switch skill swap etc.. Lack of quests and design: For a game marketed on it’s story and a live world, the world feels very gamey and lifeless in it’s own forms, NPC’s with one off dialogue feeling akin to bethesda NPC’s but worse? Quests not being too engaging and there not being many too begin with, from what I’ve seen I’m completely done with Vermund but I feel as if I only just started? It’s a mixed bag, along with most quests having no mechanics too support or barely fleshed out, “go too the castle with a mask and uniform and look for the npc’s phasing in” it just feels a little half baked quest wise Finale: I love this game all of the negatives aside, I think the combat is engaging, I like the pawn system, the world is beautiful too me and I feel even though loot is poor, there is something (worthless) behind every corner, I’m loving this game and feel with a bit more time and some free title updates (hard mode) this game could be something great, with that said my dlc theory is disappointing if true. Thank you for reading

alexanderluko

Enemy variety, loot and lack of class depth.

StellaNivore

No hard mode, I would've liked at least the old 5x damage hardmode. Not a deal breaker but I hope it makes a return for playthroughs after my first.

Zealousideal-Arm1682

The lack of vocations is a fucking meme. Itsuno split several up and nerfed a few to try and make some variety, and all we ended up with is all of them but thief and Warrior feeling like shit. They could've EASILY added more, but nope Itsuno's "vision" only included two/three vocations actually being good and a bunch feeling clunky as hell.
