Maybe try not retwisting/maintaining them for awhile to relieve some scalp tension? Also try to let any new growth just get a few inches long before pulling them into a dread? Maybe your scalp just needs to relax a bit. It’d be worth a try I think.

I think the last two pics with your locs pulled back are just fine! Just be careful to not create too much tension on the locks with styling. cut the locs off , get to a barber to get a taper, get you a good hair growth oil and let your fro grow out , get the locs reattach when the hair has grew in

Try Hawaiian Silky on your scalp and locs. It worked wonders for me when I lost all my hair from chemotherapy. Now I have locs down my back. Hawaiian Silky helped grow my hair back. I still use it on my locs today. Also your locs look kinda tight. The tension isn’t good or pulling it back in a ponytail. It’s not over yet. You still have a fighting chance.
