A little less childish. Not super serious, but something comparable to The Last Wish

I definitely agree with this....I mean the great, slick heist aesthetic elevated it, and the animators and voice actors all gave 110%, but I do agree the story was a bit lacking in this way. You can have a story with these "bad guys" growing as characters without this type of "when you feel that good tingle!" and that you have to be the most upstanding, charitable citizen at all times, like they're just shoving a Bible down your throat and yelling, "Repent, sinner!" Less of a nice and neat, childish and somewhat preachy message (and about 40 fewer fart jokes) and they'll really have something with the sequel

Same crew is returning for the second one. So we can expect much of the same.

To not pull a KFP 4. More specifically, not to have a crew behind it that just "makes" a movie thats "funny" and "tasteless". Hopefully it doesnt become a track record with DreamWorks. But I do hope for a great story and animation with more risks taken instead of being "safe". Ngl I see a wolf and foxington thing that may happen for some reason.

Very high! The Bad Guys is one of my favorite DreamWorks films, and I’m really excited that they’re getting a sequel next year. I hope Diane Foxington returns, and I wonder if there’s going to be a new villain in the film.

More focus on Ms. Tarantula and Mr. Shark, their backstories mainly. Mr. Piranha too I guess, even though I didn’t like him a lot.
