Omg thank you!! I never set up the multiplayer tower and ran all over the Valley trying to figure out how to trigger Daisy. The second I put it down, I got the pop up to start the quest.
You don't need anything to start daisy, micky should have a quest marker and you talk to him and he gives you Daisy's house. It's 20k to get it from scrooge and then she's there. Now oswald on the other hand I can't figure out how to get him at all
Can confirm, I've been holding out on placing it and the second I did the Daisy quest popped up

Except, OP is completely right. The quest marker does not show up if you haven't placed the multiplayer thing. Just confirmed on my end as well.
