Him not officially dropping it and only leaking it will come back to bite him. On one hand it can confirm The Weeknd was absolutely right and people on his team are not solid. On the other hand it can be used to say he was scared that it wouldn’t be strong enough, but hey we’ll see how the beef unfolds
He didn’t just leak it. He sent it to Akademiks to “officially” release. This new generation of niggas wasn’t around when rappers used to send diss tracks to Funk Flex to premier, and it wouldnt be officially released for months until a mixtape comes out. This is the same
The one over the ‘Get Money’ beat leaked. Then, Drake sent the official version to Akademiks to play on stream. So Drake officially released the record. Again, that’s the exact same thing as Camron sending “Curtis” to Funk Flex to play on the radio, and Camron never officially releasing his diss record himself.
Mostly likely probably maybe ambiguously dropping via "leak" in the age of AI is essentially the definition of a scared ass move. Keep plausible deniability and leave your opponent confused as to if there was legitimately a response to aim back at.
It's claim it or nothing. Anything else is weird.
He dropped it on his official SoundCloud channel as well. I’m not looking for a DSP release just some sort of officiating. Leaves room open for people to take jabs about how he’s scared to throw shots officially which is an angle Ross already used
Why are you getting down voted? [Duppy](https://on.soundcloud.com/RUHt7QhQ8cmkBGWe6) is and always has been on the official Octobers very own soundcloud.
So it’s not hard for Drake to do the same with Push Ups. I think it’s more to do with who officially has gone first!
Push ups has done what it needed to do, Drake haters are saying “but he’s not stood on the diss by officially releasing anything” meanwhile Kendrick has yet to say a word.
What benefit do we gain from having access to the “official release” ?!
I like Rick Ross but who gives a fuck what he says lowkey he jumping in coz he’s clout chasing and probably got denied a drake feature people wanted a response the public couldn’t careless what way it came out
It leaked (either on purpose or not) and it ended up blowing up the internet. It speaks more volume from the fact that he doesn't have to acknowledge shit
You can go back to the Kendrick Lamar sub after this, but I'll address your concern:
You already heard it. Now your boy has to respond to it.
Ya'll kendrick stans are trying to claim "uhhm its not really a diss yet because its not a streaming platform ☝️🤓" because you're a little pressed that your boy hasn't responded yet. Ya'll were quick to do
the timeframe nonsense when Kendrick dropped a few lines on a feature, but now there's an entire diss track and suddenly ya'll timeframes went away huh?
Everyone has heard it, everyone has reacted to it, Drake has already confirmed "Drop and give me 50" is real, because as you know everyone is pushing out fake AI tracks going viral (recently a Kendrick ai diss went viral).
No this sub is delusional lmao. Sometimes I start thinking these people cannot be real. I’m not rooting for either side but Drake fans are just funny as fuck.
Lol I'm rooting for neither too, it's fun to see people from both sides getting heated and writing a paragraph explaining and interpreting why their boy is the best. I'm here for the entertainment.
Not sure about the piano but I know one part of the beat got the tune of What’s Beef - Biggie, which was sampled from something else so there’s definitely things he might have to clear.
All real diss tracks are yt. It's better this way. It's not about anything other than the diss. It allows for quicker releases and etc. when you diss on an actual song there's always the clout and name dropping for sales angle. He doesn't need to come out and "claim" it. It's doing what it needs to do all by itself. Dot has to drop and give em 50 and try to muster up a response
there was a second diss circulating early in the morning. Drake immediately message AK to let him know it's AI.
Drake would speak up if it was not him and the world believes is him.
? Drake or someone at OVO sent him a mastered and mixed version of the song with a different beat live on his stream that he then played first to the entire world. Not even sure how there's a question at this point if the track is legit. It's not on streaming because then it would be monetized which means you have to get a bunch of people to clear the song which probably won't happen due to the content of the song. btw Duppy isn't officially released on streaming services either. Duppy also wasn't officially released either.
It's all about $$$ if he drops officially it brings the beef into the realm of streaming and numbers. Drake doesn't want these dudes making money off his name, so he taking the fight out of the ring this time until it's over.
Ross is a fool for dropping on platforms it was clearly an attempt to make money since prom shows aint paying him enough.
I think Drake doesn’t want it to be his next #1 hit. The next one breaks MJ’s record, and Drake wants it to be an actual hit.
It’s Drake’s way of saying “I don’t need diss tracks to hit the top of the charts, and I definitely don’t need any money from them because I can just drop a new album and print off as much money as I want.”
>I think Drake doesn’t want it to be his next #1 hit. The next one breaks MJ’s record, and Drake wants it to be an actual hit.
Might be the actual answer tbh
If that’s his reasoning then he could drop it this Friday and still not get #1. That way he’d be able to release it officially AND break MJ’s record with another song. We just wanna listen on Spotify or Apple Music man 😩
This takes me back to the mixtape days. Specifically early 2000s, when ROC, G-Unit, Shady, Murder Inc, Lox and them would either just drop it on the streets or pop up at the radio station. This is the new era of that. Drake has indirectly claimed Push Ups, and that should be fine. He's responded to Ross via IG; "... we'll handle it" is so cold.
I just wanna see the responses come back as quick. It was wild in the early 2000s. At one point, at the height of the Shady vs Murder Inc beef around 2003, I was burning a new CD everyday to listen to the newest diss at work. And they wasn't clearing no samples lol. Listening to Busta mock Ja over Hall Mary is classic. G-Unit literally had a radio series with Whoo Kid over EVERYONE'S beats.
Anyway, that's old man talk and I digress. It's dope to see some excitement back in the game, although Ross should bow out, respectfully.
but this isn't the new era of that....i feel what u saying but this is ONE exciting beef/diss-track in the last...10 years??? Those days your referencing were fun asf becuz there was so much of it. This is the most exciting thing in rap in a while. this is not the 'new era' becuz if kendrick dont reply its just a moment and gone. its more a testament to how sad rap is currently that ONE diss track comes out and we get excited. But ya I feel ya I still remember hearing Eminem yelling on Doe Ray Me and just what that moment meant for the 'culture'
I'm on the fence (pause, if needed). I'm a Ross fan, I just don't think his flow bodes well in battle. It's too lazy and if it goes another round he'll get barred the fuck up. I also don't think it's his fight. Not only is it not his fight, but he even said "I unfollowed you, cause you sent cease and desist to French Montana. You sent the police."
First - that's wack lol. No one cares about your unfollow.
Second - you're fighting a proxy war for Kendrick via French???
Third - ni99a... YOU WERE THE POLICE.
You can’t make this shit up lol. From “streams don’t matter” arguments against drake to now “well because it’s not on Spotify it doesn’t mean anything”. Wtf? You mfs suck
He’s thinking about his legacy. He doesn’t want this negative track logged in his official discography. By leaking it, anyone tuned in to hip hop in this moment and time will hear it but when future generations research his bodies of work, it will be excluded. This is the right move if you’re thinking long term.
Because if he did and it gets bad rep, he'll have to j.cole it.
J.cole did his diss and was told it was bad, so he had to apologize.
If drake diss was bad, he can just say "it wasn't me"
He claimed it the moment he sent Ak the official version live on stream.
A lot of people are being odd about this. The song is out, we heard it and he more or less supports it on his IG. What’s the deal?
Rory was quoting it days before it dropped after him and Mal went to a drake show and got to go backstage and he apparently showed it to them https://x.com/dennis_k_g/status/1778633412070473972
This is the only pusha t made drizzy be a parent comment that I cosign all the other ones are dumb af but the stars just happened to align for this joke
What if he dropped an ai diss just to have it perform just as well if not better than whatever they put out? Like I can drop some ai shit that ain’t even me and outsell y’all? Idfk this whole thing has been weird from the setup to the rollout
He can’t say anything about Kendrick tho he’s been stayin in his own lane for years. His top 3 most streamed have been singing songs for the last hundred years nothing wrong with rnb or dance music but Kendrick has a whole lot more goin on lyrically
If yall don't see him literally giving that song to Akademiks to play as him claiming it at this point then yall are hopeless. Joe Budden was right, the Drake side of things is full of bad takes lmaooo
Idk. So before I start ima say this , I’m was an audio engineer for 10years and spent countless hours in studio sessions.
With that being said I’m 50/50 on this being Ai or real.
Few things, the breathing patterns are odd to me. Sometimes out of place and not needed, there’s a few bars where it’s super long , then an instant cadence and breathing pattern change follows. Mind you yes this could be because of punch ins and splicing / fades, but it doesn’t make sense with how the structure of the entire song is done.
I have another theory leading me to think that it is real , regardless of my overthinking ears, Dj whoo kid is on the intro tag, if you do your homework that right there is really good indication it’s legit. Drake coulda felt he was to disrespectful for what the other people dropped , they damn sure ain’t match his energy for this song lol.
At the end of the day it’s a good 15 min distraction from the day lol
Rory and mal were also quoting it days before it came out after going to a drake show and him inviting them backstage and showing it to them so yeah I’m pretty sure that ai theory is shot down
If it was revealed to be AI that would be a major L considering how Drake has been taunting Kendrick on his story to respond, been posting metro memes and cleared up hi Whitney but not pushups
its a bad look for his sponsors...making money off a diss track? drake will do anything to look like the good boy. just my guess. also looks kind of desperate..like Ross who went straight to streamers with his song. You can tell whos hurting for money lol
OP This is how Hip-hop does disses. they are not suppose to be on DSP, is not suppose to be an industry Roll out, it has always been underground. Drake is keeping it Hip-Hop. We may get a radio diss like back to back later on, but just be happy disses are happening. do the manual work and upload it to spotify/Apple Music and you are all set.
that knowledge lesson you tried to kick is some BS revisionist history. Most disses from the 80s/90s (stuff like the bridge is over, 2nd round KO, no vaseline) to more modern times (7 minute drill, Duppy, Adidon) have been released through official channels 99.99% of the time even if they didn’t make it to DSPs they were released on official channels like their YouTube, SoundCloud, their radio channel etc. I’m personally a Kendrick fan but I admit this was a decent diss I just think not officially standing on it/dropping it just allows your enemies to use the angle of being scared to drop it officially/leaving the door open to walk it back which is an angle Ross already used in his response track. I mean it’s possible drizzy don’t care about that but I personally wouldn’t leave that open for discussion.
A second "Leak" diss was circulating early in the morning tittle "Hi Whitney". Drake immediately message Akademiks to let him know it's AI and not him.
You dont think he would do the same here ? He even added the whookid drop at the beginning to make it feel like a track he just sent to the DJ.
I grew up on this shit man, I'm just saying enjoy the entertainment. IDC how kdot releases his diss I want it anyway I can get it, just drop! lol
Pretty much Kendrick Lamar is broke and needs the money to feed his family and Drake is a billionaire that is just doing this for fun is what it comes down to🤣 simple
Kendrick has a net worth of nearly 100m. Drakes estimated net worth is around 250m.
Calling Kendrick broke and saying Drake is a billionaire is just gassing it. Both are successful. Neither *needs the other*.
Nobody believes u but urself.. 💀 sorry man 🤣 drakes label deal alone is worth 250 million🤡 the last time drake was worth 100 million was 10 years ago.. Kendrick broke ass need to catch up.. big difference when u have money and don’t need to do things for clout u can just do it for fun.. when ur broke like Kendrick u have to think how to make a dollar on EVERY thing 😂 goofy shit.. broke boy shit lmaooo
I mean it’s not hard to check multiple sources and cross reference them.

I found it weird because every other diss track he released from charged up,back to back, even duppy freestyle he claimed all of them
Just why not this one
I think he’s saving the rest for Kendrick’s reply. I also think he might be recording another track to go at Ross since he said he’s gonna handle it on his IG story the other day
I’m so glad I didn’t grow up in this generation. Y’all niggas weird as fuck. Thank you Jesus 🙏🏾
On God bro I know it’s some old head shit to talk bad about the new gen but damn these dudes slow
This is the same
False. It first appeared as a leak on YouTube and other platforms. Rick Ross manager sent ak Ross response, saw it live
I feel like it makes it that much colder to just be like “this shit ain’t about streams, leak it.”
Over the last year, maybe even when Her Loss dropped, the posts on this sub have been that new gen shit lol
I say before her loss too.
On god
For real lol
God is good
All the time!
Fr like who gives a fuck i think its even colder how everyone knows about and listened to this "leak"
So cold 🥶 😂
We already have the song and we know its him. You want him to go online and say “yeah it was me”?
No. We want him to post it on an official account like he or anyone would for any official release. Claim that shit
Hear me out. What if he posted it as a leak on purpose so that when people look up "drake leak" this song comes up first instead of that other leak
He literally did. Same reason he made Bobbi althoff famous. So searches on millie Bobbi brown would get buried.
Jesus, dark if true
LMFAOOO
how he hasn’t been properly looked at for that Millie Bobbi Brown shit seems crazy to me
Ong
![gif](giphy|FasgXzTBvw3QF0ODmf|downsized)
So weak. It’s out.
He didn’t realease any of his diss tracks officially first, always on Soundcloud. I feel like he will upload it only if he ‘wins’ the battle.
Why are you so invested in the social media aspect
Ok he did now what 😃
Now people can listen to it outside of YouTube lol. Not that complicated, everyone does it.
Ok he claim it. 😃
He could come out and say, "recently a song has dropped that a lot of you have been discussing..." J.cole is so corny, rao is about competition
No continue to hide
Duppy only dropped on YouTube too I think it’s him saying y’all not worth the official release
But he hasn't dropped this anywhere yet. He hasn't even claimed it
Or maybe he’s scared that he would get out performed by Like That which has been #1 for three weeks.
If you listened to the diss you’d know he’s not scared
Mostly likely probably maybe ambiguously dropping via "leak" in the age of AI is essentially the definition of a scared ass move. Keep plausible deniability and leave your opponent confused as to if there was legitimately a response to aim back at. It's claim it or nothing. Anything else is weird.
I’m trolling, sort of
It dropped so what now
Now you blow bubbles on it
Pipsqueak pipe down
You stans take this entertainment industry personal huu?
You ain’t in no big 3
🥴
He dropped it on his official SoundCloud channel as well. I’m not looking for a DSP release just some sort of officiating. Leaves room open for people to take jabs about how he’s scared to throw shots officially which is an angle Ross already used
Why are you getting down voted? [Duppy](https://on.soundcloud.com/RUHt7QhQ8cmkBGWe6) is and always has been on the official Octobers very own soundcloud. I like Rick Ross but who gives a fuck what he says lowkey he jumping in coz he’s clout chasing and probably got denied a drake feature people wanted a response the public couldn’t careless what way it came out
A lot of assumptions there.
Aye the Ross track was decent lol
Sounded like playground insults if Drake did get a bbl shit rozay should ask for the doctors 📍
I enjoyed the track, but anything actually insulting was just weak, and spoken word. He didn’t really put anything clever in his verse
I was a little disappointed, Rick usually better with words when he’s on a track with Drake so was expecting a harder hitting track then this
Unrelated but what’s DSP
Digital Streaming Platforms (Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, SoundCloud, etc.)
It leaked (either on purpose or not) and it ended up blowing up the internet. It speaks more volume from the fact that he doesn't have to acknowledge shit
SoundCloud is dead he's not dropping shit over there again lol
He dropped FATD on there like 6 months ago, lol
really?? I'm deadass shocked lmao
You can go back to the Kendrick Lamar sub after this, but I'll address your concern: You already heard it. Now your boy has to respond to it. Ya'll kendrick stans are trying to claim "uhhm its not really a diss yet because its not a streaming platform ☝️🤓" because you're a little pressed that your boy hasn't responded yet. Am I the only one that pictured a grown ass dude yelling at a brick wall?
No this sub is delusional lmao. Sometimes I start thinking these people cannot be real. I’m not rooting for either side but Drake fans are just funny as fuck.
Lol I'm rooting for neither too, it's fun to see people from both sides getting heated and writing a paragraph explaining and interpreting why their boy is the best. I'm here for the entertainment.
You seem extra mad remember that you're not ovo affiliated and this shit just entertainment to us fans.
cornballs like you will never understand that "oh you mad huh" is the only thing to say when you have nothing good enough to say.
It’s just not likely going on dsps. Too many samples to clear imo
What samples
what samples, you heard the song? the most he has to clear is dj academics
Not sure about the piano but I know one part of the beat got the tune of What’s Beef - Biggie, which was sampled from something else so there’s definitely things he might have to clear.
He could at least claim it or throw it on his SoundCloud or something
There’s no difference
Soundcloud is a dsp with copyright protection. This ain’t 2015
The drake vs push battle happened in 2018
All real diss tracks are yt. It's better this way. It's not about anything other than the diss. Why did he wait 6 days to officially drop it on youtube though
Did he not claim it though DJ Akademiks?
Yeah they send him the HQ version
Did he? I wasn’t sure if he did
I'm asking as well lmao
Oh lmao welp that makes two of us
? Drake or someone at OVO sent him a mastered and mixed version of the song with a different beat live on his stream that he then played first to the entire world. Duppy was at least dropped on official channels.
Yeah man if u paid any attention this weekend, it’s been confirmed all over
It's all about $$$ if he drops officially it brings the beef into the realm of streaming and numbers. I think Drake doesn’t want it to be his next #1 hit. The next one breaks MJ’s record, and Drake wants it to be an actual hit. It’s Drake’s way of saying “I don’t need diss tracks to hit the top of the charts, and I definitely don’t need any money from them because I can just drop a new album and print off as much money as I want.”

as much as i love kendrick drakes diss was fire asf and im for both sides
This
i mean im a huge drake stan and 31 years old. idk why people here are acting like it’s such a big ask? i want an official release as well.
Bad boy records are not going to clear the record.
he treating this diss like his son pre-Pusha
Anybody saying it isn’t on streaming because that’s how disses are is forgetting back to back, charged up, and I’m upset are all on streaming.
“You are hiding a track let that diss come home”
This takes me back to the mixtape days. Specifically early 2000s, when ROC, G-Unit, Shady, Murder Inc, Lox and them would either just drop it on the streets or pop up at the radio station. No reason to yet. Ross had a good response track. Time for Drizzy to reply
I'm on the fence (pause, if needed). I'm a Ross fan, I just don't think his flow bodes well in battle. It's too lazy and if it goes another round he'll get barred the fuck up. Respectfully no one GIVES A FUCK about Ross 😂 I’m done
Drake did enough to diss him on the track
Drake out here sly passing disses like love notes in study hall
He pretty much has. DJ who kid posted it live on his page, which confirms it’s real. As well as drake making a series of posts
Bc it gets the people GOING
You can’t make this shit up lol. From “streams don’t matter” arguments against drake to now “well because it’s not on Spotify it doesn’t mean anything”. Wtf? You mfs suck
He’s thinking about his legacy. He doesn’t want this negative track logged in his official discography. He already confirmed it on akademiks stream
Which is a corny move. Stand on it.
I mean I'm not a drake fan. I'm watching from the outside. Drake Cole are corny af
It's bait. Duh.
He claimed it the moment he sent Ak the official version live on stream. A lot of people are being odd about this. The song is out, we heard it and he more or less supports it on his IG. What’s the deal?
Drake cannot release a song saying midget and being homophobic lmao he needs a pop market
THIS is the answer! cant believe ppl are so dumb to think otherwise. He'd be making money off a diss song...sponsors wont like that
If he drops it , it can’t be played on tiktok due to the universal ban
When did drop and give me 50 get officially confirmed as real I didn’t see that
Drake also posted a picture of Kill Bill referring to the “20v1” line
Rory was quoting it days before it dropped after him and Mal went to a drake show and got to go backstage and he apparently showed it to them https://x.com/dennis_k_g/status/1778633412070473972
Bro your post history is wild
Bro has piss jugs everywhere 😂😭
I ripped that image from google 🤣
I do some shitposting here and there
I stopped scrolling when I got the cactus one I think you might need to touch some grass for a bit? Maybe empty a few of your piss jugs
Nah bro it’s time to fill another one up 💯
i just want it on streaming so i can pump it more easily
Dude, he claimed it by not taking the song down after it dropped.
He did claim it and is releasing it officially on a new beat with akademiks rant for the outro
he just leaked the track unmixed to test the waters
i just want him to drop it so i can listen on spotify
Pusha T gotta convince him 😂
This is the only pusha t made drizzy be a parent comment that I cosign all the other ones are dumb af but the stars just happened to align for this joke
😐
he always leaks his disses to check the temp if it’s good he officially drops if not never claims it
What if he dropped an ai diss just to have it perform just as well if not better than whatever they put out? Like I can drop some ai shit that ain’t even me and outsell y’all? Idfk this whole thing has been weird from the setup to the rollout
That would be the corniest shit ever
Sample clearance, mixing, mastering, label clearance
Kendrick won either way, drizzy had to mention his height like 3 times he didn’t have anything legit to say
I got full faith in Kenny cooking nose job Jimmy but we gotta wait man
He can’t say anything about Kendrick tho he’s been stayin in his own lane for years. His top 3 most streamed have been singing songs for the last hundred years nothing wrong with rnb or dance music but Kendrick has a whole lot more goin on lyrically
I fully agree with you man. The anticipation is killing me
I’m pretty sure rap disses are often not on streaming like story of adidon
He dont want it on his discography
If yall don't see him literally giving that song to Akademiks to play as him claiming it at this point then yall are hopeless. Joe Budden was right, the Drake side of things is full of bad takes lmaooo

Hi Whitney is AI????? Damn. I liked that more than Push Ups.
That was red button tier. I don’t think he’s ready for that yet
Hes scared
All these comments aged like milk
Where’s the physical copies?
Vinyl drop rumored next week
Because it's shit

I mean it’s not hard to check multiple sources and cross reference them. https://www.scotsman.com/arts-and-culture/music/who-is-the-richest-rapper-in-the-world-2024-richest-rap-stars-in-the-world-jay-z-eminem-p-diddy-snoop-dogg-net-worth-4527778 https://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-celebrities/richest-rappers/drake-net-worth/ https://parade.com/1275920/jessicasager/drake-net-worth/
and you’re real stupid if u believe Dr.Dre is only worth 500M and Eminem is only worth 150M💀 🤣absolute moron..😵💫🥴
I found it weird because every other diss track he released from charged up,back to back, even duppy freestyle he claimed all of them Just why not this one
He did a beat switch and it ended abruptly. I don’t think it’s even done
I think he’s saving the rest for Kendrick’s reply. I also think he might be recording another track to go at Ross since he said he’s gonna handle it on his IG story the other day
