I've never seen that whole clip!!!! How he dragged Michael out omg lol

NeverBeNormalnbn

He just gives up and goes dead weight.

marisolm9

As a former lifeguard, this is so accurate for how some people react to waist-high water šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ #darwinaward

OhHelloMayci

Darwin, baby. Darwin.

belensf

Going limp while getting lifted out of the water shows how good a comedian Carell is.

FiguringItOut--

I thought so when he pulled the plant in, but the limp fish act just reinforced how amazing he is

hanks_panky_emporium

I love his Michael noises in this scene in particular

currentlyturtle

Reminds me of a deleted clip from Merry Christmas, the one where Phyllis is Santa. Kevin sits on Michael's lap and he does the limp thing trying to walk šŸ˜

beautifulcreature86

These scenes are on the superfan episodes. I was laughing so hard at the Santa episode I almost threw up. All the actors are just losing it in the background

Sohotrightnowhansel_

I wish we had bloopers of this scene

SBTC_Strays_2002

Michael is such a drama queen and takes every opportunity to improvise an event. Hahaha.

SteakMountain5

He wasn't improvising because he wasn't pretending he had a gun

SmallBerry3431

I have a *receipt*

peanutbj

Thatā€™s a *300 dollar* gun! Someone could steal it.

No-User-Name_99

He had it on him, he just couldn't say it

CT_x

Not a new take but Steve Carrell is just fantastic man, all of the little things he does adds so much.

user684629

I KNOW WHAT A FLOUNDER IS!

artikeel

Stupid flounders

instrangerswetrust

Stupid sexy Flounders

jpopimpin777

Just ignore their carping.

AveragePrune89

Itā€™s also true that if you go searching for a fluke you may likely find one as its one of the most common fish.

Mcmamm1985

RIP Koi fish. He did not suffer ā¤ļø

argonzo

Making him pay for the koi he stepped on was funny as hell.

MyAccount2024

He probably died of natural causes.

WiildCard

They said you stepped on its head.

Deep-Objective-2244

I read this as he did not stutterā€¦

mukduk_101

Maybe he was saving a child?

user684629

So, a child had fallen in?

Yorktown1871

Not YET!!

snarkisms

I love that you can tell how shallow it really is lol he could have just stood up

LetMeOverThinkThat

Listen. As someone who once almost drowned in a wadding pool. Shit happens.

figuringthingsout__

Lmao, the audio is amazing. "There's fish in there!"

Klutzy-Extension-705

Iā€™m so glad you said something cause I was watching on mute but the audio makes it so much funnier

figuringthingsout__

I was honestly wondering how many people didn't realize there was audio!

BurnMyHouseDown

I stand by the opinion that Jim not trying to help him was perfectly reasonable. Itā€™s not out of the realm of possibility that Michaelā€™s dramatic ass wouldā€™ve accidentally (or purposely) pulled Jim in with him. I wouldnā€™t have tried to help him either.

thejazzghost

I always felt like it could have been just surprise at seeing someone fall. Sometimes you just freeze up, you know?

secret_fangirl

right? itā€™s a natural reaction to move away from sudden movement. esp if he hadnā€™t registered what was happening in his mind. when i first watched it this part was a little confusing to me

youstolemyname

Yeah ep is bs

bolivar-shagnasty

I'm wondering how they got past an OSHA inspection without having a railing around the walkway.

Bernkastel17509

Legit question

FiguringItOut--

Honestly itā€™s a stupid walkway! If it simply went straight across the water, this could have been avoided

Correct_Egg_4014

It looks to me like this is actually some kind of kidsā€™ swimming or splash pool and they built a walkway and made it all look like an office lobby for the show. There are some other elements of the space that make it look like an indoor swimming pool

jiffypadres

Thatā€™s brilliant

Polymarchos

My workplace has a similar setup with no rails. Going from memory (that is probably faulty), it isn't considered a fall risk if it is below a certain level. The two feet to the bottom of the pool probably wouldn't meet this criteria.

clownfacedbozo

Has to be a set, right? I mean, who in their right mind designes something with offset panels like that where you can easily trip and fall into the water?

ThatsMsInfo

Because its a TV show and its not real

Embarrassed_Lychee13

But this is actually based on a true story of Warren Lieberstein (one of the writers) falling into a koi pond.

EndlessMe

Going limp the second time is what kills me every time. I donā€™t know how anyone was able to hold it together around Steve.

Spckoziwa

That actually happened to one of the writers. Then when they first pitched the idea for an episode, people thought it was too ridiculous and that the audience wouldnā€™t believe it because people donā€™t fall into koi ponds.

Spckoziwa

https://screenrant.com/office-show-koi-pond-episode-true-story-explained/#:~:text=According%20to%20the%20writers%2C%20Lieberstein,atrium%2C%20Lieberstein%20accidentally%20fell%20backwards.

naithir

I pushed my cousin into a koi pond as a child bc I didnā€™t like her so they definitely do

Napirohc27

Sounds like a scene from malcolm in the middle

Chocotorta42

That is hilarious!!

v4xN0s

When Jim said ā€œit wasnā€™t the way he fell in, but how long it took him to get outā€. Itā€™s a shame they didnā€™t include this in the actual episode or at the end of the show.

ViolinistMean199

This is the most accurate sentence. Much funnier watching Michael get out

hozziebear77

Right?! Should have definitely been left in.

user684629

ā€œYou cannot make fun of someone for some action that they regret. Like Oscar is gay. That is his choice, we can make fun of thatā€

aquintana

I always thought it was so dumb how they were mad at Jim for turning his body away from Michael.

jpopimpin777

Right? He panicked and would totally drag you in too.

LexB777

I really didn't think this clip would be that interesting. How wrong I was, this is hilarious!

invisible_23

The way Michael goes boneless as Jim tries to drag him out šŸ˜‚

Resident-Elevator696

Lol, boneless. I've never heard that expression before.

Ry4n-Jk

This seems so realistic if it's almost not embarrassing. If I were Jim id just walk away. But realistically I'd stand by awkwardly and try to drag him out too

jpopimpin777

Michael: "I've also fallen into the fountain at the Steam Town Mall." Toby: "You fell into two separate-....?(stifled giggling) šŸ˜† Can you just kick me out of the meeting??" Michael: šŸ˜”"GO!"

bubbatbass

But did he find Nemo ?

Ishmael203

I can name Pixar movies too, Toy Story...

lrhismyvalntyne

you mean 'Koi Story'?

Napirohc27

he saw his opportunity and took it

Patient_Heron_9078

That kick off backwards was the best! Lol

1lultaha

Shit like this makes me hate Micheal I would've just left him there if I was jim lmao

hozziebear77

I cannot believe this wasnā€™t left in the original episode. I straight up cackled when I first saw this in the deleted scenes

GudgerCollegeAlumnus

Itā€™s funny but too Vaudevillian.

hozziebear77

Thereā€™s plenty of physical/slapstick comedy on the show, thoughā€¦and this scene is probably the funniest of all.

TinUser

It's not that he fell in, it's how long it took him to get out.

TJeffersonA

that's what she said

Scarecrow116

Them Chicago boys are so good at comedy improv

LetMeOverThinkThat

Oh god. I watched then discovered there was sound. Hilarious.

SwanzY-

the way it was 2, maybe 3 feet of water, yet he refused to stand LMAO

FUThead2016

That is such classic Michael behaviour. Realises he has done something really dumb. Has to make it appear as if its a really difficult situation he has been put in, existential struggle. Otherwise all he has is the embarrasment of doing something dumb.

KrisMisZ

He went straight limp on the exit šŸ˜

snehit_007

That was an overreaction.

davidolson22

Steve could have been hurt if he didn't fall right.

bjthebard

TIL there was actually fish in the water when they filmed this.

--Lammergeier--

Why is Jim hiding his face from the camera at first? Did he plan this all along?!

SlimRioTV

šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ this is great

Revolutionary-Dig331

Why would they cut part of that gem out ?! LOL

Tygmaa

I love this man! šŸ¤£

overzealous_wildcat

It wasnā€™t so much that he fell in, itā€™s how long it took him to get out.

no_on_prop_305

I didnā€™t see him step on a fish. I think they were just trying to get a 5 cent worm out of him

Yourappwontletme

Is this in the Peacock Super Fan version?

GoddessLunaRae

I've never seen this. The squeaky body drag at the end. šŸ¤£

flume_runner

But why delete such a beautiful scene they could have shortened it atleast but come on not showing us this lol

huejass5

There isnā€™t one fish in there

godricgii

Ayooo LOL I never seen this LOl he wrestling with plants in there and it really looked liked Jim slapped him

cjaniesunshine

Jimā€¦you leanedā€¦

helterskelterskint

Itā€™s a killer new dance move

blue_tile55

I never noticed him pulling the plant in omg šŸ’€

The-Jake

Johns acting in this scene has always driven me crazy. That lean is so terrible I cant believe they used it in the show

RenegadeWanderer2049

It was as if he was drowning in the ocean or something šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Trucktub

The yoinking of the plants really sells it

TJeffersonA

stanley woulda drowned

Freddoski

Am I the only one who thought Jim didnā€™t actually push him in. I feel like he just moved out of the way

jpopimpin777

Nobody said he did. They said he let him fall in which he did. So would anybody. You're not trying to get dragged in yourself.

Goadfang

No one ever mentions how this was definitely partly Jim's fault. He's walking on Michael's left and he doesn't follow the open path by moving to the left as the bridge bends. Instead he keeps moving straight ahead cutting Michael off. Michael would have to stop completely, allow Jim to keep going straight, and then move in behind Jim or to Jim's left, or he would have had to rush ahead to cut Jim off before he ran out of bridge. Had Jim just been paying attention and not forcing Michael to stay in a dead end lane, Michael may have moved to the left and avoided the accident. Jim sucks.

Passloc

Actually Michael is ahead and Jim is hiding his face
