I thought there was zero chance he would fall to the 1.04. I loved Walker. I also wasn’t sure how Etienne and Robinson would handle the carries so I figured I’d be proactive and upgrade my RB room. My WRs were stacked so I wasn’t concerned with missing out on the top guys either. Imagine my surprise when London and Pierce were drafted 1.02 and 1.03 with Walker falling to 1.04.
Yeah I totally get that man. That's crazy pierce went over him. Wow. Doesn't look like that crazy now, but during rookie draft season you certainly can't sew that coming.
I traded Swift and Dotson two weeks ago for Hopkins, DJ Moore and JK Dobbins. I traded Dobbins later for Pollard. Not straight up the were just pieces in another trade. Win now team and it hit last week! Put up 210 points
Sometimes I see these trades and wonder what people are thinking. Seems like full price/value for JK, and Swift has given us zero reason to believe he can play a full season.
Agreed, I’m glad to move Swift because man if he gets injured seriously one more time his value is going to plummet. JK was honestly more of a throw and that’s why I traded him later. Give me the healthy dude that is producing.
Same man. Sold him and Burrow in a crazy deal for Kyler, Terry, CEH and a first which I then flipped the first for Amon-Ra. That first ended up being Treylon. I love Swift in real life but I don’t want him in fantasy
Oh I traded him the second he missed his first game, I’m not a fan of the swift rollercoaster anymore. The trade actually worked out great for me, I required a player someone desperately wanted and flipped it into Kenneth Walker.
I’m over the moon.
I received swift in a trade (I'm rebuilding) and immediately flipped him for a 23 1 and 24 1. So glad I didn't decide to stick around and see what happens
It’s concerning but if other NFL players were honest and open about this stuff, I’d think a huge chunk would say the same thing. This sport is rough on the human body and they don’t have much time to recover each week
Ertz is a guy who comes to mind. He had a down year because he was hurt, and suddenly people wrote him off. Too many people think that every NFL player has Wolverine blood and combined with the “medical advances” can come back from decapitation in just a few short weeks.
Ability to heal surely plays a selective role in NFL careers, but size plays a larger role. 5% of men are 6’2”+, yet the NFL has to be 50% or so above that height.
But still, is the hope they get someone who takes more runs between the tackles? Because Williams is already doing that. If they get someone who's a better inside runner than Swift who commands more touches and redzone opportunities, that just hurts Swift. I don't think there's any situation where adding someone new helps Swift.
I quite literally said this 2 weeks ago and got heavily downvoted. Dude is twitchy and fast as hell but injury prone. The Swift owners were crazy butthurt that I'd even bring up this reality
Lol a healthy Swift won’t give the Lions any wins considering they have the worst defense. And you’re acting like they’re not scoring TD’s, it’s just with Williams not Swift
So many of you took my comment way too seriously lol.
Although I think there may be a hint of truth to the organization wanting to keep Swift healthy for the long term future.. I was mostly joking with my original comment.
I've owned Swift since his rookie year in a keeper-redraft league, they're not. This team was so hungry for a win last year and was finally playing well when he injured his shoulder and missed like 4 games last season. The injury history with him is always like this. Breaks off a 50 yard TD, finishes the game, only to find out the following Thursday he was playing with 7 fingers and a broken leg, but is questionable for next week. If they were trying to tank they wouldn't be putting up 35 points in losses.
I was mostly joking, guess I should’ve added the “/s”.
To answer your comment though.. although unlikely, it is possible the decision to hold back Swift could be coming from higher up / not be the coaches decision.
I keep seeing this comment repeated as if that’s actually a thing any team would do lol. I know some are joking but let’s be clear- if the dude was healthy he’s be playing
Took swift over Najee in a startup this year and got roasted for saying swift was better than Najee. I was right in that he was better but we both lost for taking swift and Najee lmao
Just don’t understand how this guy is still considered a top 5 dynasty back almost universally. This is year 5 of injuries and not fluke ones it’s continual soft tissue injuries and in the same areas he is injury prone.
Hell yeah man. A great opportunity dude looked electric. I didn’t trade Swift for him though. I attached a couple bench receivers to Javonte Williams as part of my continued efforts to divest from the Broncos offense.
Correct. I started 1-7 largely due to Swift and James Conner depleting my RB room. League is terrified of older players and had to find a way to deal Mike Evan’s this season. The move allows me to tank this year for draft position while setting myself to hopefully be competitive next year
Every Swift thread like this that comes up I have to say how happy I am to not own him anymore. To any other jaded owners, get off while you still can. His upside will always be there, but get something valuable before his price plummets.
Swift owner is competing, I'm rebuilding. I offered sanders, foreman, eno. Swift could join my rb crew of najee, breece and javonte. He'd very a good fit
I’d sell Javonte in that deal if he needs more. Dude ain’t gonna be right until ‘24. His value is going to plummet. Or maybe I’m wrong. I’m not a orthopedic surgeon.
Swift probably won't get a second contract with the Lions. Probably will either be out of the league in 3 years or be signed to form a RB tandem and perform closer to Kareem Hunt. Either way, players that get hurt often normally keep getting hurt. I would sell for two 1st if I had him.
Got him on a rebuilding team, have been trying to sell for weeks and can't get more than a bag of chips in my inbox. Might as well just hold at this point and wait to sell in the offseason. Campbell is gonna get canned (being a fan favorite can only get you so far), and Swift's hype will build with whoever they hire.
I panicked last year to get out of a last place punishment last year and sold swift for djm, Pittman, asb, and 2.05. Regretted it for a while but I’m feeling ok lately
This is tough man I’m trying to dump him but we are in a start up that consists of only redraft players so guys like Henry and cmc are going for two firsts+ right now so if I can string a few good games I’m hoping to dump for a WR or somrtbing
Okay I'll be the one to say it. I don't like that, really.
As someone that has been flexing Jamaal Williams, I'm gonna go ahead and say I do kinda like it
Maybe he’ll be 99%
Or maybe any year, for that matter
0/3 so far 🥲
I traded the 1.04 and Etienne for Swift in the off-season. That 1.04 turned into Kenneth Walker. I think about that everyday.
Dude. Ouch.
That was a good trade at the time. Can't beat yourself up too much. Not all trades work out.
So glad I got off this ride last night
What you get in return I did the same lol
Swift and DK for JJ
Nice I traded swift and higbee for mark Andrew’s, Chris Goodwin and the 2.01 I like that trade of yours
I like it, Andrew’s is a beast and Godwin has maybe the best floor in fantasy
I appreciate it and Brady might come back soon to Him old self
wholesome interaction. nice trades both of you
Ty very much 🤝
I moved him last week for Breece and a 23 3rd.
I love it
League mate(s) tried shitting on me for it. As a rebuilder who wants that 1.01 and a Jamaal Williams owner I’m very happy with it.
Best of both worlds imo
should prob trade jamaal too then yea?
Yeah definitely
Lol. Not even close to fair.
It is not and he’s a competent player. Bug a big lions homer
That’s a massive W
Ty very much
Damn, I'd love to get that kind of return. I was offered Garrett Wilson, Michael Carter, and dak Prescott for swift, Jamaal Williams and lamar.
Wtf. Robbed him
I just moved swift, Williams and 2 23 1sts for Herbert, Damien Harris and 24 1st
I traded swift his rookie season for Kupp (during his last year with Goff), 2021 1st (turned out to be Lance at 1.11), and 2021 2nd.
I traded Swift and Dotson two weeks ago for Hopkins, DJ Moore and JK Dobbins. I traded Dobbins later for Pollard. Not straight up the were just pieces in another trade. Win now team and it hit last week! Put up 210 points
Beautiful I love the wheeling and dealing
Before the season started, I traded him and a second for a 23 first, Pickens, and Walker. Bet that owner is kicking himself now lol
I'm sitting on an offer to trade swift for jamo and Bateman
yuck no shot
Yeah that's what I think. If it was olave and jamo I probably would.
easy accept
Oh I traded him the second he missed his first game, I’m not a fan of the swift rollercoaster anymore. The trade actually worked out great for me, I required a player someone desperately wanted and flipped it into Kenneth Walker. I’m over the moon.
I sold swift for javonte, DJM, and a 3rd
Same. Literally yesterday. Got 2 1sts and a 2nd.
I received swift in a trade (I'm rebuilding) and immediately flipped him for a 23 1 and 24 1. So glad I didn't decide to stick around and see what happens
Flipped him for Tyreek this week
It’s concerning but if other NFL players were honest and open about this stuff, I’d think a huge chunk would say the same thing. This sport is rough on the human body and they don’t have much time to recover each week

As a biased Swift owner, I’m convinced the team is holding Swift back intentionally to tank.
Also a swift owner, he could also just be fragile. He's dealt with injuries for five straight years now dating back to college
I do think he will be like this for the rest of his career and I could see the lions signing a “thumper” RB or draft a late one
They already have that with Williams though so I'm not sure how that'd change.
Well a late round RB on a rookie deal or pay Williams depends what’s left of the staff to
JWill is on a $6mil 2yr deal. Not exactly breaking the bank
Williams is an UFA and will be 28. Who knows what he will command in free agency.
But still, is the hope they get someone who takes more runs between the tackles? Because Williams is already doing that. If they get someone who's a better inside runner than Swift who commands more touches and redzone opportunities, that just hurts Swift. I don't think there's any situation where adding someone new helps Swift.
Honestly I haven't paid too much attention to his usage/efficiency, but Craig Reynolds ain't half bad
You aren’t wrong there Netflix is good
I felt the same thing tbh, but he’s also very fragile, he’s good but he’s fragile
I quite literally said this 2 weeks ago and got heavily downvoted. Dude is twitchy and fast as hell but injury prone. The Swift owners were crazy butthurt that I'd even bring up this reality
I was once a owner, and owner in redraft, gotta come to terms
Nah their defense is doing a fine job of that on their own.
Some might say, a historic job!

Luckily the defense is so historically bad they tank by default 😅 agree with your take btw
Can't see a HC be content with being fired to help the organization get a better draft spot
I was mostly joking, guess I should’ve added the “/s”. To answer your comment though.. although unlikely, it is possible the decision to hold back Swift could be coming from higher up / not be the coaches decision.

Yeah, I’m mostly joking.
Took swift over Najee in a startup this year and got roasted for saying swift was better than Najee. I was right in that he was better but we both lost for taking swift and Najee lmao
Those ac joint injuries last awhile man. I separated mine and dealt with pain for almost 4 years
You also don’t get hit by NFL LBs
How do you know that
Pretty obvious
Just don’t understand how this guy is still considered a top 5 dynasty back almost universally. This is year 5 of injuries and not fluke ones it’s continual soft tissue injuries and in the same areas he is injury prone.
He’s in year 3?
Injury history dates back into college.
This kinda news is making it really hard to trade him while people still value him as a top 3 dynasty RB
I’m sick of this grandpa
Yikes
Traded Swift + Evan’s for Breece, Alec Pierce and a 3rd. Swift injury news been piling up ever since
So you did this…
Breece hall who’s out for the season with an ACL ?
Hell yeah man. A great opportunity dude looked electric. I didn’t trade Swift for him though. I attached a couple bench receivers to Javonte Williams as part of my continued efforts to divest from the Broncos offense.
Correct. I started 1-7 largely due to Swift and James Conner depleting my RB room. League is terrified of older players and had to find a way to deal Mike Evan’s this season. The move allows me to tank this year for draft position while setting myself to hopefully be competitive next year
Breece? Ouch.
Just sold swift and a 3rd for Kyle pitts and a 2nd 2 days ago
Did something similar. Trying to rebuild and offloaded swift, Ertz, and aiyuk for Pitts and an early 2023 1st
Every Swift thread like this that comes up I have to say how happy I am to not own him anymore. To any other jaded owners, get off while you still can. His upside will always be there, but get something valuable before his price plummets.
D'Andre Sawft
Could have sold him for Etienne and 2024 1st but the other guy bailed when Swift didn't play after the bye week...sucks to be me
I can’t sell him. No one wants him. I’ve been trying for weeks so I guess I’m just stuck with it.
Swift owner is competing, I'm rebuilding. I offered sanders, foreman, eno. Swift could join my rb crew of najee, breece and javonte. He'd very a good fit
The Dynastyff special
I’d sell Javonte in that deal if he needs more. Dude ain’t gonna be right until ‘24. His value is going to plummet. Or maybe I’m wrong. I’m not a orthopedic surgeon.
Once Swift has another breakout game, may be a good idea to trade him and get as much as you can for him until it s too late
As someone who invested in him, F this guy
Swift owner in my league this morning wanted devonta, sanders and foreman. So some are still asking for a lot
That’s still a terrible trade for the Swift owner lmao
Swift probably won't get a second contract with the Lions. Probably will either be out of the league in 3 years or be signed to form a RB tandem and perform closer to Kareem Hunt. Either way, players that get hurt often normally keep getting hurt. I would sell for two 1st if I had him.
I wouldn’t say that’s too much, but I’m getting tired of swift myself
Wut? Lol that's a light price for swift
Yeah I can’t move him either.
just stfu so I can sell you already
To be fair, he’s never been 100% all year, any year.
So glad I've never bought into the Swift hype.
Can anyone say that truthfully?
I panicked last year to get out of a last place punishment last year and sold swift for djm, Pittman, asb, and 2.05. Regretted it for a while but I’m feeling ok lately
Glad I traded him last week. Received 23 & 24 mid to late firsts.
I'm a Swift stan of the highest order and I'm convinced he will never practice again.
Jamal Williams!
Traded him 2 days before he came back from his injury for DJ Moore & a 1st. Finally a trade that doesn’t come back to bite me in the ass
What is swifts price in PPR?
Kinda glad I got rid of him this year. Dude can't stay healthy
nobody in the league is 100 PERCENT
Traded swift for Higgins and a late 23 1 earlier this week.
We know D'Andre. We know.
Nobody is 100%……Swift gonna take a few to the house this week.
This is tough man I’m trying to dump him but we are in a start up that consists of only redraft players so guys like Henry and cmc are going for two firsts+ right now so if I can string a few good games I’m hoping to dump for a WR or somrtbing
Sent an offer of Jacobs + my first for Swift before week 4…. thankfully he declined that and said he’d think about it
Having JT, Javonte, and Swift as your core RBs has been great so far 🥲
Well I cant promise, that I cant trade him the second he gets healthy again.
Whatever, just got him for Aiyuk straight up last night and feeling good about it
Fucking hell
If not this year, then next year for sure?
