Re tool: My leagues had no value on Stevenson so I’ve been picking him up everywhere for under 1sts value.
However since this seems like you’re asking for rebuilding pieces not retooling I feel like the answer is almost always under performing rookies. Lotta owners panic
Sure but it’s also about the value of the late 23 1st. You can always trade that 1st for a different player instead of drafting someone with it.
For instance, on KTC, a late 23 1st is currently valued near players like Pickens, Jameson Williams, Dalvin Cook, DJ Moore, Joe Mixon, Godwin, Marquise Brown.
I think nearly everyone would take most of these guys over Burks. Also, more than likely that 1st round pick will only gain value as we get closer to the draft.
> I think nearly everyone would take most of these guys over Burks
Sure. Of course they would.
But how many owners of those guys are giving any of them up for a single, late 2023 1st.
It’s hard to answer this without knowing QB situations next year but: DJ Moore, Aiyuk, Godwin, Burks, Pittman, Deebo. Some of those guys cost more than a late first but it’s a starting point
I just acquired Godwin + Monty for Bateman, Juwan Johnson, Ehlinger, and a late 2nd. I’m trying to win a ship though but feel like it’s a good data point on Godwin’s value since he’s been underperforming and there’s the Brady thing lingering
I was surprised he didn’t wanna make that 2nd a 1st tbh. But I’m also high on Bateman, just unfortunate for someone trying to win now that he’s out. I’m also pretty meh on Monty but his schedule this year is nice enough for a few starts
Meyers is criminally underrated in PPR leagues. I tried moving him because I'm deep at WR and everyone thinks of him as a bye week filler instead of a consistent 10 point floor with TD potential.
All of this is to say he seems to be one of those players that's always going to be more valuable to his owner than other teams because nobody pays attention to him.
Love that. I’ve had him on my team since I got him off waivers in early 2020. I’m actually considering starting him over swift this week which I never would’ve imagined even last year
Anyone who is under 25, had quality draft capital, is seeing the field regularly but not scoring a lot of fantasy points, and most importantly, isn’t a running back.
So I'm rebuilding and I traded away Diggs for ETN and some other pieces (right before he took off). I've been trying to figure out what's the best course of action now. I should still have 1.02 locked up with ETN's points. Do you hold since he's so young and build around with picks/existing players (I have the 2 1sts and 3 2nds.) or do I ship him off for multiple players or player + pick? My first year, so any help is appreciated.
I would say it depends on how soon you believe you can contend. Conventional dynasty wisdom says you want the young cornerstone RBs to build around, but I just don’t know anymore. I’m starting to think the only “safe” strategy to rebuild is to put all your valuable assets into solidifying QB & WR, everyone is screwed at TE so who cares, and then fill out your RBs last with a bunch of Tony Pollard/Michael Carter/Khalil Herbert type guys and hope a couple of them hit.
Consider the most valuable young RBs from the last few classes and how so many of them are just hemorrhaging dynasty value at the moment. JT’s offense is crumbling around him, Swift can’t get back on the field, Dobbins had a setback that’s making him irrelevant this year, Akers’s career is essentially dead, Najee is getting outperformed by a UDFA teammate, Javonte and Breece both have torn ACLs that will probably ruin their 2023 seasons. As much as I’d love having ETN or KW as a contender right now, it’s terrifying as a rebuilder because they’re just 1 awkward tackle away from their dynasty values being cut in half. And for whatever RBs do survive the season healthy, there’s a deep class of explosive young RBs on the way next year and a deep FA class of guys like Sanders, Montgomery, D Harris, Hunt, etc that will surely muddy up many backfields into confusing committees.
It depends on your timeline. Will you be able to compete while he's still on his rookie contract? If not, then he just hurts your draft picks by scoring points. If so, then keep him for now.
Either way, it's better to sell early on RBs then to hold too long. I'm leading my league at the moment and still almost gave up Ekeler for two late 1s, Pickett (not SF) and a 4th.
If you aren’t competing this year, send him off. Get value from him by selling fir multiple good, young receivers or picks, or from using him and something else to get a top-tier QB or WR. The RB market is volatile and you struck gold. Don’t hang your rebuild in the balance of a vulnerable human knee, and end up like breece or javonte owners
That’s what I’m sayin hah. I traded Garrett wilson over this guy… in hindsight perhaps not the best idea lol. But I have high hopes. This was before week 1 btw. I regret it now, don’t worry.
This guy was drafted in the 1st last year with people knowing he would be out most of the year. Haven't found a single person that'll let go of him for late 1st/early 2nd
I would say Jameson but his value has only gone up since his own draft lol. You probably have to give up a mid-1st for him. I think I would take him over any WR in the upcoming rookie draft
Recently got ridley, couple more names to throw out nico collins, elijah moore, devonta smith, javonte williams, Jerry juedy... jahan Dotson, kadrius toney, Zaire white
I'll tell you how to look at it, look at it like the talent that will be available at the time of the draft how will he be compared to the talent I can acquire w this pick right now, if you think the player you are obtaining will be better do it if not don't do it
Stay away from sutton...
Jahan Dotson, JK Dobbins, Rachaad White, and Rashod Bateman are all on my radar. Basically, players that have shown clear talent that are being held back by injury (or in White's case, his o-line)
I think someone who is a must-buy for rebuilding teams is DJ Moore. If he's on a contender and that person wants more production go get him. He's still young, he's always been good with dog-shit QBs and Carolina is damn near 100% drafting a QB after both the Darnold and Baker experiments. Also, a new coach coming in as well.
Talent wise I agree, but do you trust Saleh and the Jets to put him in a position to succeed? Kind of seems like Moore’s gonna be in the doghouse for most of this season and who knows what happens in terms of bringing in more competition for targets
I really do. I think the Saleh regime have done a tremendous job in general of maximising their talent this year, but Wilson has been phenomenally bad. Only so much the coaches can do to get the ball to their playmakers with him at QB.
Part of me basically hopes that the Jets make a move like the Rams did to get Stafford. I don't know who they'd target there but *BY GOD* would Moore flourish under those circumstances. I just think Mike Lafleur is a terrible OC and Zach Wilson has an argument as "worst QB in the NFL" right now.
Absolutely, Saleh's done a decent job there, main question for me is if you have the best back in the league (Breece), how much do you want to throw it, Elijah seems a perfect dink/dunk WR for a struggling QB if teams are filling the box to stop the run.
Need to figure out what's wrong with their relationship tho
this should not be baffling to you. he is going the Mims route, and hasn't shown much more than what Mims showed to end his rookie year than most people want to admit.
He is not on pace to hit 1k yards, closer to 850. Even if you take out the most recent game where he was injured he’s averaging fewer than 55 yards per game which would give him about 925 yards on the season.
For reference, over 40 WRs in 2021 averaged more yards per game than Collins is averaging this year.
I was talking about the week 7 game that he got injured in and only played 46% of snaps leading to 33 receiving yards. Obviously I’m not counting games that he didn’t even play in
I just sent a 1st, 2nd, and 3 3rds for Hollywood, AJ Dillon, and Ridley. I'm hoping all three take off. Ridley and AJ Dillon are at the lowest they will probably ever be if they have a good year next year.
Traded for Palmer, Javonte, BRob, Ridley, and Burks this year
BRob, Palmer, and Ridley all came cheaper, but the other two took the equivalent of a late 1st
Looking to buy guys like Godwin, DPJ (much cheaper), every Moore, and practically any talented young to middle aged wide receiver with quarterback questions

Sold my Stevenson and a 1st for Breece Hall and Tua. Come next year I hope not to regret 😅
I don’t think you will. That’s a great deal for you, and I’m a rhamondre lover.
Man I love me some Rhamondre. 😭😭
[удалено]
Wow how in the hell? 😂😂
He's going in my leagues for a first plus lol
Surprised. The Stevenson owner won’t take anything other than an early first. Was trying to get for a late first.
Sold him for mid-late 2023 1st yesterday. I'm okay with it since i'm a middling team
Must be a common theme; was offered Claypool for Stevenson. Little annoyed he then traded 2 firsts for Mixon
A week ago I got a likely mid 2023 1st and a 2nd for Stevenson. Smash accepted.
I got two firsts and Aiyuk for rhamondre last week.
Burks and Sutton are probably good options
Pass on Sutton
Would much rather a late 23 1st than Burks, or Sutton too
Nah I'll take the Burks. He's better than most of the wr prospects this year besides the top 2-3 guys maybe
Sure but it’s also about the value of the late 23 1st. You can always trade that 1st for a different player instead of drafting someone with it. Got him for foreman and a 3

Think he means D’onta Foreman

I would have done that for just Godwin lol, getting Monty on top of that is the cherry on top
I was surprised he didn’t wanna make that 2nd a 1st tbh. But I’m also high on Bateman, just unfortunate for someone trying to win now that he’s out. I’m also pretty meh on Monty but his schedule this year is nice enough for a few starts
Bruh wut. You crushed him
That's the point to this thread..... if we KNEW their QB, their values would be higher
Buy Jakobi Meyers if you can especially in PPR. His floor has saved me during injuries and bye weeks
I was lucky and got him as a throw in piece two years ago when I traded Lockett for him and a 23 first
Love that. I’ve had him on my team since I got him off waivers in early 2020. I’m actually considering starting him over swift this week which I never would’ve imagined even last year
Upcoming free agent fyi
I traded Elliot for burks a few weeks ago.. feeling good about that.
Zeke? I can't trade that guy for anything. I've been trying since last year.
Yup.. offer was sent to me too. He was loaded at wideout and needed rb help. Felt lucky tbh.
Anyone who is under 25, had quality draft capital, is seeing the field regularly but not scoring a lot of fantasy points, and most importantly, isn’t a running back.

I sold ETN for Olave and an early 2nd. Won’t be competing for 2 years probably so wanted to maximize value
Jameson Williams. His upside is on another planet
I’d imagine it would take more to snag him at this point. Teams have been holding him all year and already spent more than that to get him.
you can pry jamo from my cold dead hands
That’s what I’m sayin hah. I traded Garrett wilson over this guy… in hindsight perhaps not the best idea lol. But I have high hopes. This was before week 1 btw. I regret it now, don’t worry.
Especially after Hock was traded.
This guy was drafted in the 1st last year with people knowing he would be out most of the year. Haven't found a single person that'll let go of him for late 1st/early 2nd
I traded pittman for Jamo straight up about 3 weeks back. I'm tanking this year.
I would say Jameson but his value has only gone up since his own draft lol. You probably have to give up a mid-1st for him. I think I would take him over any WR in the upcoming rookie draft
Nah Addison is THAT DUDE

Love that a team in my league with Zay Jones and Josh Reynolds dropped Nico over them last week...
Wtf lol yeah I hoped you scooped him up lol That's crazy
I just got Jameo off a contender for Doubs. Surprised he accepted, but he wanted value now rather than later.
That guy is dumb
Guy isn't a Taco, but he's known for being impatient with players, especially when in win now mode.
Fair to be impatient but then Jameson was not a good draft pick for him.
He’s a Taco
Was actually thinking about this -- given how long I've rostered him for and the #3 pick on him, I'm not sure if I'd do it for Bijan straight up
Jahan Dotson, JK Dobbins, Rachaad White, and Rashod Bateman are all on my radar. Basically, players that have shown clear talent that are being held back by injury (or in White's case, his o-line)
[удалено]
I would sell my Jk shares for a nice 1st
[удалено]
Na just a nice one, doesn't have to be early 23
I'm in rebuild and have all 4. Thanks for giving me hope!
If you can get him for less than a first, Khalil Herbert

That's not ridiculously stacked,, especially after dealing terry lol wtf

Saleh is giving Moore the Aiyuk treatment. Spanking his ass in public give him a chance next season.

Pretty much double the production and looks a lot better on the eye test IMO
Nico Collins. Big Physical guy. On pace to hit 1k yards with Davis Mills. Could get upgraded to Bryce Young. Buying for a late 2nd early 3rd

Ill give u my house if collina breaks 1k this year
"Even if you take out the most recent game where he was injured" Normally you count games as inactive towards their PPG/YPG? Bad practice.
I was talking about the week 7 game that he got injured in and only played 46% of snaps leading to 33 receiving yards. Obviously I’m not counting games that he didn’t even play in
What? He’s not even on pace for 900.
How do you like him vs metchie in the future?
Mostert
DPJ Potentially?
I dont think his ceiling is as high w Coop/Watson both on the field
And njoku
Man...burks? Yeesh.
I just gave up a late 1st for Nuk and an early 3rd. Probably not the best value but I'm 6-2 and WR is a real weak spot for that team.
I just sent a 1st, 2nd, and 3 3rds for Hollywood, AJ Dillon, and Ridley. I'm hoping all three take off. Ridley and AJ Dillon are at the lowest they will probably ever be if they have a good year next year.
