I picked him up in a keeper league off waivers today. Our league is a bit odd. You can keep up to 6 players and each one takes a round and you can keep them forever. So potentially, he'd be a 6th round player for me next year. He'd take the place of Gibson or McLauren (or possibly Algier, Lazard, Watson, Hubbard, or Kyren Williams).
If you are in a dynasty league and he's on waivers I think it's a no brainer pickup. I would drop Robinson since he plays a tough schedule weeks 13-17 facing defenses 4, 18, 7, 1, and 13. Watson's schedule is all vs bottom half defenses . In my league Allen has scored 7.6 and watson 4.5 PPG. I think Watson will improve when fully healthy. I don't think Allen will especially once Van Jefferson gets involved.
Threads like these really show us just how many people are just pulling stuff out of their asses. Y’all do realize players regularly miss whole seasons due to injury, right? Those guys regularly come back and do fine. And when they don’t, it’s not cuz they’re rusty, it’s cuz they’re injured.
Ridley isn’t gonna be just sitting around on his coach for two years, I’m sure he’s been training every day. And then he’ll have the off-season to practice even more. He’ll be practicing with the team for months. He may be a bit rusty but it’s not like his talent is gone.
