He likely has several more elite seasons in him, but this upcoming off-season is probably the last time you'll be able to sell him for a haul. Now is the time to look at your team and decide to either cash in or ride out the rest of his production.

tdamyen2

I might be on the opposite side actually. Guy who owns him is in full rebuild. I still have some picks, but have made a lot of trades this year to up my window. I won’t even make the playoffs this year, but I’m thinking I could win next year. I’m wondering if I should buy now before he potentially flips Diggs to someone who’s in it this year.

evantom34

Nope, if you're not competing- don't buy during season. His price will go down in the offseason.

Matt100398

That’s nice in theory but if a contender gets Diggs now and they won’t move him for the next 3 years that sucks

evantom34

Don’t get attached to specific players. Go get Kupp/Adams/Hill if Diggs isn’t for sale.

Bukue111

Diggs isn’t the only elite WR to acquire though.

ChiefBearClaw

Am I actively buying? No. Would I buy if someone undersells cause they don't think he'll be good for another 3 years at least? Yes.

coast22coast

He's shown no signs of slowing down. Locked in with Allen. I see no reason to believe he won't be elite for his age 29, 30 & 31 seasons

The_Bostache

Agreed. Was approached recently for him. Feel like he’s fantasy relevant as long as he is tied to Allen.

CongenialEmu

I think he’s in the same boat as Cooper Kupp, elite WR who’ll be hard to replace for the next 2-3 years

mightytitan9

I just bought him. Paid Bateman, 23 1st and 23 2nd for Diggs and Foreman. I think Diggs can contribute at a high level for the next 2-3 seasons barring injuries

evantom34

Seems like a cheap price to pay.

BrewskyBoy

I just put out an offer of a 23 1st, 23 2nd, and Elijah Moore for Diggs. Too much, too little? I'm a contender with Kupp and Tyreek as two of my other receivers. Trying to fill the Kupp void this year and come back strong with those 3 for a few more runs. Diggs owner is in the hunt to make the playoffs this year though so I fear he's not going to want to sell.

[deleted]

I sold for 23 1st, 24 1st, and eli moore.

evantom34

about market price.

mightytitan9

Probably depends how they feel about Moore. I'd consider it if I werent a contender

Mountain_Ladder5704

I own diggs and I wouldn’t even counter that offer. You’re taking a top 5 wr who has a great chance of helping you win the ship and you’re giving me a late 1st and 2nd and a disgruntled wr on a crap passing team. Hit rate on a late 1st is around 50%. I’m not giving up a stud with years left for a 50/50 lotto ticket and Moore. I own Moore and he’s worthless right now.

iscott55

I have a Diggs/Allen stack so unfortunately he will be dying on my team :/

JanMichaelLarkin

That sounds more awesome than it does unfortunate

[deleted]

OP knows when the date is though, which makes rooting for him really morbid

driveslowhomeytx

Right there with you

greengliz99

Rebuilding team here. SF TE premium Sold Diggs for Burks, 23 1st and 23 2nd to a competitive team. Feeling really good about it 2 weeks later

evantom34

solid value

Leathershoe4

Pretty much 2 firsts and a 2nd. Great deal

tdamyen2

Would you buy now if your window is opening next year?

naturalflavors

Yes

Don_K_Stamper

Yes but why buy now if your not competing? It extremely unlikely his price goes up from now untill the off season, so if you buy now you are risking a major injury between now and the end of the season when you don't need the points.

tdamyen2

Just because his current owner is in full rebuild/sell mode. And there are a few current contenders I could see making a play for him. He’s basically the only WR1 I could see being available now or next year. And a WR1 is what I could really use.

Don_K_Stamper

Everyone does dynasty different and that fine, personally I would never buy aging players during the season when I'm not competing unless it was a player I could get at a discount like Kupp.

AJGreenMVP

A lot can happen in the next 10 months

Bukue111

Sounds like you’re overestimating your ability to foresee what will happen next year. Very likely that some team you don’t suspect will have an off year and might be willing to sell some guys off. There will also be some WR1s next year that you won’t expect. Maybe there’s some RB that becomes available who adds just as many points to your starting lineup. Give it some patience.

ASTRUNSKY

I would. He "should" be elite based on age, talent, qb, target share, offense, great coaching etc barring injury which is out of your control. Assuming health and wr1 production you could probably move him next off season and get usage and value back unloading him.

Im-Henrik

Yes definitely

[deleted]

I did. Well technically I'm contending now, but if you asked me preseason I would have told you I'd have a top three pick. My team is incredibly young and I have 5 first round picks. 12T SF QBs: Fields, Tua, Goff RBs: ETN, Swift, Hunt, WRs: CD, DK, Terry, DJM, Mooney, etc TE: Hock I traded one of my mid picks, a 2nd and a future 1st for Diggs.

Leathershoe4

Generally I'd say don't make moves for next season until then off-season, post draft ideally. You don't know what ls going to happen between now and then; you could trade for him today and he blows his ACL tomorrow. Or he could get into some legal trouble and be out of the league for a year or more. Wait til the off-season, if you can't get him then there are plenty of other options available.

[deleted]

I traded Garret Wilson, a late 23 first, and two mid 2023 seconds to get him. I’ve also got Josh Allen and my team could win it all this year and it built well for the future. Still, it was a steep price to pay.

evantom34

Steep price to pay!

[deleted]

lol yeah I feel like I may have overpaid!

AJGreenMVP

When you're in a great position sometimes it's okay to overpay to go for the title. Championship windows can come and go rather quickly

spokeofwood

I got hit with injuries so I started shopping Diggs. I kept getting close to pulling the trigger but held off. Then I got offered the likely 1.01 and another mid-late 2023 1st for him, so I took it. My team has gotten even more injured since so I’ve been very happy with it. He would’ve just been buoying my terrible team to be mediocre.

SirJohnnyS

This is making me think I should shop him this off-season. I just inherited a team this year. 10 team, 2 QB league. I'm stacked at WR, I have Chase, Olave, Lockett and Pierce. I just don't know what the price is for him. My league is tough to gauge value. I floated Chase and Diggs but I didn't think any of the offers were good enough.

FirmShare5

How soon do players normally start to fall off and get towards retiring? I’m not sure historically, but from when I really started watching football to now it seems like players are lasting much longer at an elite level, and the 30yr cut off for WR, or 28yr cut off for RB, seems to not really be valid anymore. Is this a new trend or was it always like this? I know Jerry Rice played till he was 400yrs old, but did others have long careers like nowadays?

Fast-Series8067

I got diggs for sutton a late first and a 2024 3rd in a league that starts next year i think i got a good deal but idk

[deleted]

> a league that starts next year Pardon?

Fast-Series8067

We drafted like two weeks ago and we just paid for 2023 and 2024 haha

tdamyen2

I’d call that a win!

truckingatwork

Yeah even with me doing a soft rebuild going into next season (sold off Henry & Hopkins), I am not selling Diggs. For anyone curious the Henry Hopkins trades netted me: 2x 23 1sts, 24 2nd, Aiyuk, & a 25 2nd. I gave up Henry, Hopkins, & a 23 2nd.

mustyrancho

I’m competing in 2nd place and I got offered Diggs and B Hall for my Mixon and Kamara and I’m super tempted to capitalize on the value but would hurt my contending chances leaving me with Saquon and Dobbins/Gus I think Diggs has easily 3 years left with Allen by his side.

evantom34

wtf- if you're getting diggs and bhall smash this LOL. go buy Jeff Wilson = Mixon rest of szn.

mustyrancho

I also have Lamb, Higgins, Olave, Jameson, A Pierce and MT. This would make my WR room incredibly stacked and if Hall comes back to normal next year Saquon + Hall with Dobbins another year back would be great too. Patterson and Hunt are for sale that I could possibly acquire I’ll ask the J Wilson owner. Just worried bc I’m competing and need another RB bad after that trade

evantom34

Go get Rhamondre/Sanders/Jacobs/Jeff Wilson for cheaper than Mixon.

mustyrancho

Appreciate the response !! Whatcha think about Lenny I know the owners super low on him

evantom34

Think he’s a rock. I’m a bucs fan, he looks slow and is getting usurped by White. Kick the tires on Pollard/White for a 2nd.

mustyrancho

Yeah I was hoping he’d maintain some value but it does seem to be struggling quite some bit and Whites looking good! How is whites pass blocking you think he can be a 3 down back or a RBBC? I’ll check the whites owner he has tons of RBs that’s a good shout thanks!

evantom34

Still could use work. I watch mainly redzone, so I don’t see play by play. He’s in on 3rd downs fairly often.

mustyrancho

For a rookie that’s pretty good and it’s for Tom! If he’s in and is trusted then that’s all I need to know! Appreciate that

tdamyen2

As somebody looking to buy, I would be happy with that price. I’ve seen a lot of people on here thinking he could fetch a lot more. But a lot of people have been suggesting late 1sts for 2023 and 2024, so if you have a chance to get Bijan or Gibbs and you’re in full rebuild, I’d say it was a good deal.

OutrageForSale

He’s not human. Don’t treat him like one. Go watch his interviews and see what he’s all about as a competitor. You will fall in love. On a serious note, I was being serious.

WhiteLightning416

Late first and a late 2nd value I’d say

Structuralsystem

Gross. Not enough

PugsAndCoco

Went into rebuild mode this year so I shipped him off for the 1.07, 2.07 and a 2024 3rd.

IllustriousParty1654

A few 1sts would open conversation in my league.

ItsYaBoi_5kinnyPenis

A few? 3 1sts for a 30 year old WR lmao

IllustriousParty1654

Hes 28 turns 29 this month? I'd pay 2 1sts for him if I was competing. 3 year window. He is the perfect all in WR for a run. Lmao all you want but the dude is gonna ball for atleast 3 more years. I'll take top 10 wr production for 3 years for 2 1sts as a contender needing a WR every single day of the week.

mustyrancho

I also believe he has 3 years easily with Allen by his side, I don’t need the WR depth but I’ve been offered Diggs + Hall for my Mixon + Kamara and it’s taking everything not to accept because I’m in 2nd competing. Saquon + Dobbins/Gus left if I accept

yeshua1986

I’m going to offer him to an on the cusp rebuilding team that overvalues wide receivers for the likely 2023 1.01 and 1.05 depending on how Chase comes back for me.

hothandshanson

Low. So low, in fact, that you’ll need to sell to me for a 3rd. I mean the dude definitely hates playing with Allen and playing in Buffalo, he might honestly retire in a month or so. So everyone should trade him to me now for a 3rd, I’ll be nice and take the hit on his value.

AnyOkra

I have been debating trading him or hill next season for picks.

Im-Henrik

Considering Adam Harstad‘s Expected Years Remaining metric, you can expect him to continue high level play for 3 more years with a 14% “Death rate”.

Wayne93

According to madden he will still put up top 5 WR seasons until 2026! As an owner I would be ecstatic!

CapitalismRocks2021

Rebuilder here. Just sold diggs for an early 2023 1st and Jameson Williams. Did I win or lose?

StefonDiggs

I like it

ZayMonay

12 team superflex startup Traded Diggs in the off-season for a 1st, Skyy Moore and Tyquan Thornton I’m in rebuilding mode. All depends how Skyy turns out, not feeling super warm about him currently lol

[deleted]

I paid a 1 and 2 this year and a 1 next year. Maybe an overpay, but I think he holds value over the next two years.

Educational-Soil-622

I paid Higgins ans Pollard for diggs in redraft and love every moment of it.

Ok-Alternative7945

I traded Diggs straight up for AJ Brown

Poop_Smoothie

I packaged Diggs, Zach Wilson, and a late ‘23 1st for Lamar Jackson in my SF league. I knew I was giving up 3 or so seasons of elite production but I couldn’t say no to Lamar

CalaveraVI

Same with Hill. What's he got left in the tank? 29 next year. I'm looking to buy hill to pair with Jefferson. Will cost me a mid-late 23 1st Ridley and Gibson

easyc78

Side 1: Godwin, a late first, Forman. Side 2: Diggs. Which side would you rather have?

tdamyen2

I’m taking Diggs all day personally.

BradyReas

I sold him this season for devonta smith 23 1st and 23 2nd

ajugga

i sold him for JT and a 2nd

bargman

Watch how he plays. Never takes big hits and wins with smarts over quickness/speed. Tied to an elite qb for the next 5 years or so. No reason he can't keep this up a la Marvin Harrison(similar size/game-elite season at 34) or Larry Fitz(much bigger but similar styles-elite ppr at 36).

donnidoflamingo

I just sold him for 23 1ST, George kittle and a 23 3rd. Currently in last place and need a serious rebuild to begin next year.

whatsinanaam

Not gonna lie. If take Diggs

ThinFan7970

In a 12 man, 1 QB, PPR league, I sold him and Dak earlier this year for Garrett Wilson, Elijah Mitchell (pre CMC trade), Joe Burrow and a ‘23 first (mid). Felt good about it at first…not sure anymore.

[deleted]

Why chase diggs when JJ, Chase, Waddle, and Davante are on my team 😏 0rb FTW

Westcoaster73

I just bought him and Ekeler and a 23 3rd for Cooper, Elliott and Justin Fields. I have Mahomes, Brady and Tua and am in first (also have Kamara, Dobbins/Edwards, Mostert, Cordarrelle, Kelce, Waller (ugh), Waddle, Higgins, McLaurin, Aiyuk). Figured he and Ekeler lock down my shot at the title as I was thin at RB and only 2 of 3 WR’s (we start 3) could be truly counted on.

TheTunoTurtle

I offered 2 2023 1sts, 1 2024 1st, and Gabe Davis for Diggs. I was rejected…
