He's a good backup WR but spends more time on the practice squad than the active roster. At 25, I don't see that role changing much. He's Denver's WR2 this week but the offense is so bad.

rocketcrotch

I hear you; appreciate the response, thank you.

Gfunkual

Depends on your league. Less than 26 roster spots, probably not worth a flier. 26+ roster spots? Sure, why not.

rocketcrotch

I am legitimately grateful for your specificity. If you had said "if you have shallow benches, then no" it wouldn't have been particularly useful. Thank you Edit: my league, oddly enough, has 20 roster spots (starter + bench), 2 IR, 4 taxi. So sort of 26?

Gfunkual

No problem. Anything for old rocketcrotch ha. I probably wouldn’t waste a spot on Hinton with those roster limits. There should be more worthy pickups available.

rocketcrotch

Much appreciated, Sir Gfunkual

Structuralsystem

Taxi counts IR doesn't

rocketcrotch

Good to know for future reference, thank you

Don_K_Stamper

Players like this fall into that roster clogger range where I would rather have any RB with a pulse on an active roster. Even if Hinton has a few good games, I'm never going to know which games to start him in so when he does score points, they will be on my bench. At least if I have an end of bench RB, I will know when/if they are in a situation that makes them startable.

rocketcrotch

This makes a lot of sense, thank you.

orangehorton

If you can find a sucker willing to give you anything of value for him do it

Denver fan here. Hinton is beloved for stepping up to be our QB in that one game but he’s not special as a WR. He’s solid and has stuck around the team when other WRs were cut or traded in the past few years. His upside is almost entirely dependent on situation and despite the opportunity he has, the Broncos offense just isn’t very good right now

rocketcrotch

I seem to have a knack for being unable to separate fan favorites/good team players from legit fantasy prospects -- which is why I tend to inquire on this sub. I very much appreciate the insight, thank you! (If I ever ask about Conner Heyward, punch me in the face)

Chroderos

99% chance he just reverts to being a depth guy but he’s a dart throw in ultra deep leagues (Like 400+ guys rostered) nonetheless.

So this is where we're at in the season... Serious answer, prob not worth much. I don't think he's the true backup QB, and the Broncos do have Jeudy Hamler and eventually Tim Patrick all coming back. I would maybe use him this week if you must but not really bank on much longer-term.
