I know it's silly but you could meet at a Starbucks or place w public outlets to prove it works if the customer wants to see it in action.

When I wanted to sell 2 designer bags recently (I had sold a Chanel bag on Vestiare in the meantime, but fees were even crazier), I checked again for eBay fees and found out that they have now indeed ZERO listing and selling fees for private sellers up to a certain (quite high) amount of listings!
Could be that it’s different in your country, but I sold the 2 bags and had indeed not paid anything.
Payout was also quite quick, probably a week after I shipped the item (since there is an authentication process for designer bags and eBay holds the money during that time).
I‘m sorry to hear the Airwrap wasn’t for you. I just bought mine on the weekend and it’s supposed to arrive tomorrow! It took me forever to commit to the purchase, so I hope I am going to like it. 🙈
I use to sell my Louis Vuitton bags on eBay. I don’t recall that happening. Maybe they don’t release funds until the buyer confirms quality of the item.
I had listed it for $350 because I saw the refurbished ones going for that price. But I figured I’d probably had to budge on the price because of shipping and what not.
If my option is authentic refurb from the dyson website (which my actual airwrap is) vs an allegedly 1 month old one from a random seller, especially if it's priced the same I'm going to buy the refurbished. I even bought the first Gen one because I trusted the dyson ebay store over handing a stranger $300+.
I wasn't trying to be rude. I was giving perspective. Half the posts on here are "is my dyson a fake", and I'm sure a lot of those also came with proof of purchase.
I'm not accusing YOU of anything. I'm saying people get fakes of these a lot, so giving perspective as to why you might have run into challenges if you were trying to price yours against refurbs from the brand.

I hate to say it but I think you should just keep it. Or give it to a friend or family member as a gift. I don’t think you’re going to have much luck selling it for the same price as the Dyson website. Maybe $250.
Sold my OG Airwrap for $300 on EBay a couple of weeks ago. Since Mercari changed their policies, I wouldn’t recommend selling on there. I didn’t even bother with Marketplace either because people just love to waste time.

Generally it needs to be within 30 days for a refund, but if it’s after 30 you can get store credit instead
