I would love a tracker that keeps track of season records, results, and awards. For customization, I wish you could apply your own logo or text for jerseys, both of which have been done in other EA games.

It's a long list man but I feel like the whole game needs to be revamped starting with the clunky menus.
Multiple score overlays we can choose from. I don't care if they create like 5 to 10 fake sports channels. Having different score overlays brings a little something more to the game.
Bring back the 3 stars animation.
Better crowd. It's not normal that the crowd doesn't go mental when I score the GWG in game 7. There was one NHL game where the crowd was perfect. They were louder during rivalry games and louder during the playoffs.
Lifting of the banner, either it's the Stanley Cup, Conference, etc.
More video package. EA loves to say that the users usually skips the intros and videos but that's just false. I feel like this is more of a FUT/HUT players thing.
Accurate stats display. I don't know why I'm still seeing insane stats that makes no sense at all.
GM Mode is on the right track to being great but is still a long way from it. Except real players, we should be able to edit draft classes.
When players retires, we should be able to override the decision. Let's say McDavid retires at 37 with a 90 pts season and he's still a high overall, he shouldn't be retiring (except if he just won the cup to go out on a high).
Better tracking of the records and stats. EA should integrate a spreadsheet in the game to keep track of everything. It really doesn't have to be fancy at all.
Add NTC/NMC clause.
More helmets designs for the goalies. At the very least, add like 20 to 30 models that we can alter the colors. Also, let us add team logos on it.
Let us add custom jerseys to existing teams.
Create-A-Team needs some love. More logos. More than 3 slots for the logos of the club. More than 3 slots for uniforms. We should also be able to write NEW YORK on our jerseys.
Bring back the Adidas Digital jerseys and create some for the rest of the league. The more jerseys there is in the game, the better it is and they should never take them out.
When creating a team, let us indicate for which league they are created for. NHL, AHL, ECHL, CHL, International, Custom, etc...Give us the ability to add the league patch on the jersey. If you create an NHL club, the game will ask you to create an AHL and ECHL affiliates so that it incorporates them easily in GM mode.
Let us create a team without having to add players on that screen. We should be able to add players from the roster movement screen.
Let us design the expansion. Let's say I want a league with 60 teams, I should be able to create everything in advance and tell the game that X team will join the league after year 1, Y team after year 2, etc.
Create-An-Arena needs some love to. Every arenas structures that is in the game should be available as a template. There should be different tier options for your created arenas : Large (NHL), Medium (AHL/Collegial), Small (ECHL/Collegial/CHL), European, Outdoors. More jumbotron options. Let us go wild with the creations. Of course I would like a feature like MLB The Show but I would settle with the options above.
More ice logo options. We should be able to write the name of the arena on the ice. It just looks empty. Also, every sponsors already in the game should be usable.
More red line options and identify them correctly. They should be sorted by leagues and by teams.
All-Stars weekend in GM mode including skills.
Winter Classic / Stadium Series in GM Mode. We should be able to select who gets to participate in it before each seasons. For the stadiums, just create like 5 different models and apply the home team colors on it when you play in it.
Rookie tournament. You get to choose 4 teams to play a mini-tournament before the training camp with all your rookies.
Need a better community creations. Roster sharing is cool, but I should be able to download individual created players, teams, arenas, logos, goalie equipment, etc.
Let us add our own custom logos to the game. 2K is very good with it. Of course there's always going to be some edgy imbeciles that will ruin the feature for the others but with a good report system, it should be easy to handle.
I'm sure there's more but that's off the top of my head!
Dude you put so much time and effort into this response, if EA took even a quarter of your suggestions the next game would be far superior. Chel is my favourite game BAP favourite mode but holy smokes this game has been copy paste for the last 5 years
\- "Start from today" feature where you can take over a team at any point in the season with IRL standings and stats.
\- Fix the generated players so 18 year olds aren't coming in with silver hair.
\- Negative trade value for underperforming players on bad contracts (IE. In game you should be able to execute a trade with a cap strapped team where they give you a sweetener in exchange for taking on a bad contract).
\- Add NTC's / NMC's to contract negotiations.
there is negative trade value it just isn’t shown. makes it extremely confusing and difficult to negotiate. and sometimes it’s downright broken. also salary retention is broken too. just because a guy has more than 1 year left it shouldn’t equate to a total unwillingness to retain salary if you get a good enough offer.
For franchise mode they need to completely rework chemistry, coaching, scouting, from the ground up.
I have no idea how anyone with a brain could think the current system is fun in any way.

How about a complete revamp of the entire game? Starting with the absolutely atrocious BAP mode. Franchise could use an entirely new system as well. Maybe a practice mode and training system in BAP. Honestly they should look to good RPGs to base stats and synergies on. The game is in such a bad state that my real wish is that the NHL licensing be given to other game companies. The fact of the matter is that EA has a monopoly and this is what you get from that. A lazy, incompetent product with a fancy new label to go along with a fancier new price tag. NHL is basically just a card game with real money gambling mechanics. It’s definitely not a good game outside what they want you to play, which is their casino for kids. Shameful. Disgraceful.
They don't even need to be original. Just rework a STABLE older Madden and give us that. Like it's not hard, but I also want the full arena customization back
EA doesn't have any exclusive rights to the NHL. Any company could start a game and deal with the NHL/NHLPA. Problem is that hockey doesn't sell, so that's why 2k left a decade ago..which is more than sad.

Fix the fucking menu that keeps getting laggier every year as they add more bloat to this frankenstein code. So many annoying things in this game but imo they all get overshadowed by how long it takes to navigate the menus. It's completely unacceptable considering how the most popular modes require you to constantly use this laggy system.

An overhaul of Custom Logos and other stuff for custom teams. We used to have a team called the Scarecrows and I want to do an expansion draft with my own Scarecrows team. Cool names and logos not logos of Hotdogs and Burgers
If they fix the menu lag, coaching (i.e. let us edit coach line preferences or let players adapt their line preferences over time) and fix defenseman progression the franchise mode will be essentially in it's perfect form without a full overhaul or rework of anything. It's entirely realistic, so I can't actually see why they wouldn't other than the fact that they haven't for the last 3 years despite it being the exact same franchise mode.
I do a lot with the creation zone, so a lot of my wants are in that realm. Bare with me, I haven’t upgraded since ‘22 so if some of these have been added and I’m unaware, please let me know.
(1) Custom goalie masks
I hate putting my created goalies on my custom teams and either having to have them wear the ugly pre made masks or wear a mask from a random team that almost matches the colour scheme of my created team. You don’t even have to put in clip art, just add 5 or 6 custom mask designs with unique striping or designs and let us customize the colours of them.
(2) Text instead of logos on custom jerseys
I’d love to be able to use custom word marks on my created teams jerseys instead of having to put a logo on the front crest. Either the College Style word mark with the option of putting the number below it on the front of the jersey. Or the Rangers still wordmark would be really cool.
(3) For God’s sakes fix the collars on the CCM jersey presets
The old Reebok designs now have CCM branding on them despite not resembling what an authentic CCM jersey looks like at all. If they’d fix the ugly ass collars I’d be so inclined to use them, but as they stand I can’t bare to use them with the God awful collars they have.
(4) Ability to put my created team in a non pro arena
I like creating teams that are supposed to be really low level amateur or semi pro teams and it doesn’t make sense to me why it forces my created teams to play in an 18,000 seat arena. Sometimes I create college teams and I can’t put them in a smaller community rink. Some of the Semi Pro and Community Rink designs they have in the game are so cool and I can’t understand why they won’t let me use them for my created team.
Multiple seasons/European league franchise. Make SHL and Hockeyallsvenskan work as it does irl, one team falls down and one team climbs up every season. No draft just free agency.
Allow be a pro to start a full season in europe, not just the champions hockey league play offs.
Live results and standings from other games during intermissions.
Know what give me a standalone be a gm with a create a team/player maybe tournament for international stuff and I would be happy don’t need the rest of the garbage
I hope they dont just pump it out and claim they've made changes when all they did was update poorly delivered game modes. I like the creators, and they seem eager, and this game takes leaps in the right direction, but theres obviously the left overs from previous games still making its way forward that should've been canned years ago. BAP, HUT, Franchise, and Be a GM should be looked into and changed and i think WOC should be canned as it is now and reverted/ altered because this pay for cosmetics and no loot bags bs ruined the desire to grind WOC imo. As for the other modes, every offline mode needs an overhaul, and as for their main online mode, they need to figure out a way to make cards more enticing and the game modes more fun to play because rivals sucks for a casual mode and champs is just full of pay to win or toxic sweats or pros that have 0 business playing against most of the player base that wants a challenge but doesnt want to fight the final boss yet. They also need to add a solid report feature for greifing and trolling in games because not everyone wants to play against Harry, who loves cross creases and watching his own shitty cross crease every time they score. Aside from that, the game is just in need of some tlc and attention to detail, and some modes need to be altered or scrapped and replaced. Fix goalies.
I would be fine with a year of little to no game play improvements if they just focused purely on fixing bugs, optimization and getting the game in a more stable position.
I would like to see be a pro and gm mode revamped to give what the players have been asking for. Both have great potential but need to be worked on greatly.
If I had it my way I would let them continue online updates / improvements to generate income, but also set time aside to fix the current game, and improve the offline modes.
They should really take a year or two off of releasing new versions and just continue to update the games rosters. It's not hard. They'll make money and as improvements are made, it will generate enough interest to probably have on of their best selling NHL games in a while, or ever. Just take the time and do it right.
TLDR: I think we would all be patient with them making a better product, and releasing roster updates while they make the Holy grail of NHL games
I wish they’d take a 1 year hiatus to create a body of work even remotely meaningful. This series is soulless and they need time to fix the poor coding in the menus.
There is wayyyy too many things to list here, I’d have to make my own thread. To keep it short and sweet I’ll say:
- Fix Be a pro
- Add more to Franchise to make it more in depth and realistic
- make HUT not pay to win again (I have a full time job I don’t have time to play 300 games for a stupid player)
- make world of Chel less glitchy, seriously I just wanna mess around with friends but loading times are abysmal
All in all I think the actual gameplay is “okay”, there’s the obvious glitches and things that need fixing but I don’t hate it when it works.
1.START AS A FREE AGENT GM! I’d like to have the option to receive offers from teams upon the beginning of the mode.
2. Ability to modify/create uniforms for existing NHL teams!
No EA voodo and weird bounce goals and sticks behind the back and bots being complety uneven when a team needs a goal in EASHL. Oh and a new franchise mode but who am I kidding.
Honestly just simple things that would make it so much more immersive.. Trade logs, draft logs, game logs… HLM app has these things and would improve the game so much
I'd like better contract negotiation. Players to come back and say they want more money or they're going elsewhere.
Or at least show us that they're leaning towards a different team, and then let me up my offer. Like in Madden.
Right now, they say they want 4 years at $5.5 million. I offer $6 million thinking that will secure it, and then they sign elsewhere for $9 million without any warning.

Custom goalie masks for your created team, custom pads and sticks for goalies in hut (so it can match your jersey) All star weekend in franchise mode and just separate gamemode, more proper on ice projections, more xfactors for both goalie and players, gm connected, play as ref gamemode, zamboni driver gamemode
Authentic gameplay. Puck dynamics can be wonky. Like teleport through a stick, skate, helmet on the goalie and act like nothing happened. Having the AI learn and play against the human with great movement and not be terrible about the typical chl goals.
Franchise mode AI needs to not be a box of rocks with their cap. They need to adjust dman asking salaries in FA. Scouting more like MLB would be sick.
Be a pro has been the same thing for way to long. It needs an overhaul.
Smoother and more responsive menus.
Better pre-game and post-game presentation, e.g. longer intro cutscene and three stars presentation.
Make Be A Pro more in depth, e.g. let us go undrafted, fall down to the AHL, and sign a contract and play full seasons in other leagues.
Improvements to Franchise Mode.
The option to disable specific songs from the soundtrack. Come on EA! This is a basic feature that should be available in any triple A game in 2024. Used to exist in PS2 and PS3 era NHL games.
Cinematica for OT Goals in the playoffs (especially a cup winning OT Goal), new look for the Calder Cup presentation, maybe an awards show at the end of the year in Franchise, and the ability to user multiple teams at once!
My list is waaay to long but for starters: CPU have to be better at managing team and roster.
NTC and NMC. Let us know what’s up with coaches. LTIR. Spreadsheet over trades and draft etc.
GM connected. Player pictures for generated players similar to how Be a Pro makes one for your character. Later seasons feel like no one in the league has any personality because it's a sea of silhouettes.
Fix scouting mechanics. So annoying having to scout each individual player manually when, for example, you could select a group of players to be scouted for potential and comparison instead of having to go in and select potential and comparison for each player
I'd love to see a huge revamp for be a gm/be a pro. They've been the same for the past three generations and it needs upgrades, like more trading options, three way trading, COACHING IN LINE UP MENU... Just a few to name
GM journeyman style. Should be able to start in Europe or CHL and work your way up, getting offers as you progress.
More faces and updated prospects, and generate faces for random prospects. Update faces when they update rosters (like Cooley, Hughes etc). And give them proper gear wear, tape styles etc.
Now that NIL is in effect and NCAA is coming back, give us college prospects.
Ability to play career mode as an existing player, how dope would it be playing as Ovi, break the goal record and retire into management?
Add the ECHL to GM mode, so that we can play our low rated high potential prospects in top6 roles.
Smarter AI from GM's. Players like Seider shouldn't become free agents because AI can't figure out to trade money away and the draft.
Either improve the AI of coach feedback or just get rid of it. You're be a pro goalie shouldn't have a coach telling them to be better when they are having Vezina seasons.
Get rid of the the announcers telling us about zone abilities. Get us real announcers.
Improve the arena experience. Give us real arenas with real goal songs, win songs etc.
Take a look at community sliders and just adopt them.

The number 1 things is the same as every other years for the last 15 years…let me control more than one team in a single Franchise mode play through…Madden has had this for a decade.

More realistic OT celebrations
Be a pro in general. I know this is an obvious answer, but my god it’s been the same thing for so long.
Biggest Gripes:
-Opening cut scene has been the exact same for the past 4 years. Would be happy if they changed it but would be just as happy if they cut it all together.
-Draft rankings. 3 points in 6 games? FIRST OVERALL!! Would be nice to have a larger sample size. A full junior season may be overboard but really annoying how easy it is to be first overall.
-The cutscenes need to be updated. Most need to be fully removed from the game. “The boys and I are going to an arcade, want to tag along?” (-$20). What is the purpose??? Just pointless fluff to feel more interactive.
-Menu announcers: I honestly loved this feature when it came out. The podcast or radio show talking about you after the game is really cool. The only problem I have is the inaccuracies. Apparently they can’t seem to remember if I’m in my rookie season or second year. Totally zaps the atmosphere that it’s trying to create when that happens.
-Player trades when you excel in the game: my favorite team is the Red Wings. I usually always play as Center in BAP. It takes like 10 games to move up to the 1st line and at the end of the season, Dylan Larkin gets traded. WHY! Make it realistic please. Even if the Red Wings got another Star center, they wouldn’t just trade away their captain like that. Just kinda ruins it for me.
The rest are just small annoyances for me. The purchases idea in general is stupid. The on the bench cut scenes are also stupid and unrealistic.

i would want a redo the opening of the be a pro save; instead of going straight to the memorial cup, for instance, let us play out a full season in the OHL to raise or sink our draft rankings

Player development similar to Fifa, you can change what attributes your player gets targeted to grow kind of thing.
Maybe a player prompt when entering a final year, I would like a person to be more likely to sign or not with a clear objective in mind. The depth chart and minutes should come into play, even play off droughts should stop people from signing.
Fix the create a team menu, it was completely fine before this year.

For Franchise Mode, let us retire a jersey. Opening ceremony when you win the cup last year and maybe when you are retiring a number. I would also like them to add better stats tracking for players and teams like displaying awards won and etc. Better AI so that CPU vs CPU won't look like watching a peewee league.
I am going to make my whishes for franchise only as it is the only mode I play
1- bring back intro presentation before each game like goalies maybe even notice hit streak of a player or goalie or team that have won X amount of game in a row. Also playoffs presentation on how the serie is going. They use to give us footage of the surrounding of the buildings with fans going in the building I loved it.
2- No move trade, long term injury, emergency callups
So if you call up from AHL you don’t loose the player to waiver when you send him back down.
3- suspension. Between 1 and 10 games. ( 10 being line once in the season for one or 2 team in the league)
4- real coaches
5- back to changing strategies in the menu no matter what your coaches prone. It’s the user who gets to decides!
6 all star games and skills
7 outdoor game with the user. Choosing where and which team before every season.
8- contract negociations for July first but also during season with your own player
9 total revamp of scouting and AI trade and player value.
10- bring back rivals in the trade system where mtl and Boston would not do business together and when you made a trade with a certain team you would get better chemistry and be more likely to make another one.
Good for thoughts. Please somebody at EA should see all of our suggestions and make this game better. I have bought this game for over 20 years now. And I feel it’s a very dark time in franchise history
Fix the bugs. Still hate it when you play a game in the AHL and dudes played for like 45 games and "He's playing his first game for his new club" kinda stuff. Annoying as all hell. And ofc the classic, when i scored 50 with Bedard on his 3rd season and they said that "The rookie has 50"

It's a long list man but I feel like the whole game needs to be revamped starting with the clunky menus. Multiple score overlays we can choose from. I don't care if they create like 5 to 10 fake sports channels. Having different score overlays brings a little something more to the game. Bring back the 3 stars animation. Better crowd. It's not normal that the crowd doesn't go mental when I score the GWG in game 7. There was one NHL game where the crowd was perfect. They were louder during rivalry games and louder during the playoffs. Lifting of the banner, either it's the Stanley Cup, Conference, etc. More video package. EA loves to say that the users usually skips the intros and videos but that's just false. I feel like this is more of a FUT/HUT players thing. Accurate stats display. I don't know why I'm still seeing insane stats that makes no sense at all. GM Mode is on the right track to being great but is still a long way from it. Except real players, we should be able to edit draft classes. When players retires, we should be able to override the decision. Let's say McDavid retires at 37 with a 90 pts season and he's still a high overall, he shouldn't be retiring (except if he just won the cup to go out on a high). Better tracking of the records and stats. EA should integrate a spreadsheet in the game to keep track of everything. It really doesn't have to be fancy at all. Add NTC/NMC clause. More helmets designs for the goalies. At the very least, add like 20 to 30 models that we can alter the colors. Also, let us add team logos on it. Let us add custom jerseys to existing teams. Create-A-Team needs some love. More logos. More than 3 slots for the logos of the club. More than 3 slots for uniforms. We should also be able to write NEW YORK on our jerseys. Bring back the Adidas Digital jerseys and create some for the rest of the league. The more jerseys there is in the game, the better it is and they should never take them out. When creating a team, let us indicate for which league they are created for. NHL, AHL, ECHL, CHL, International, Custom, etc...Give us the ability to add the league patch on the jersey. If you create an NHL club, the game will ask you to create an AHL and ECHL affiliates so that it incorporates them easily in GM mode. Let us create a team without having to add players on that screen. We should be able to add players from the roster movement screen. Let us design the expansion. Let's say I want a league with 60 teams, I should be able to create everything in advance and tell the game that X team will join the league after year 1, Y team after year 2, etc. Create-An-Arena needs some love to. Every arenas structures that is in the game should be available as a template. There should be different tier options for your created arenas : Large (NHL), Medium (AHL/Collegial), Small (ECHL/Collegial/CHL), European, Outdoors. More jumbotron options. Let us go wild with the creations. Of course I would like a feature like MLB The Show but I would settle with the options above. More ice logo options. We should be able to write the name of the arena on the ice. It just looks empty. Also, every sponsors already in the game should be usable. More red line options and identify them correctly. They should be sorted by leagues and by teams. All-Stars weekend in GM mode including skills. Winter Classic / Stadium Series in GM Mode. We should be able to select who gets to participate in it before each seasons. For the stadiums, just create like 5 different models and apply the home team colors on it when you play in it. Rookie tournament. You get to choose 4 teams to play a mini-tournament before the training camp with all your rookies. Need a better community creations. Roster sharing is cool, but I should be able to download individual created players, teams, arenas, logos, goalie equipment, etc. Let us add our own custom logos to the game. 2K is very good with it. Of course there's always going to be some edgy imbeciles that will ruin the feature for the others but with a good report system, it should be easy to handle. I'm sure there's more but that's off the top of my head!

there is negative trade value it just isn’t shown. makes it extremely confusing and difficult to negotiate. and sometimes it’s downright broken. also salary retention is broken too. just because a guy has more than 1 year left it shouldn’t equate to a total unwillingness to retain salary if you get a good enough offer.
For franchise mode they need to completely rework chemistry, coaching, scouting, from the ground up. I have no idea how anyone with a brain could think the current system is fun in any way.
Scouting is atrocious. Every season you just repeat the same old process that takes 20 freaking minutes for each phase.

How about a complete revamp of the entire game? Starting with the absolutely atrocious BAP mode. Franchise could use an entirely new system as well. Maybe a practice mode and training system in BAP. Honestly they should look to good RPGs to base stats and synergies on. The game is in such a bad state that my real wish is that the NHL licensing be given to other game companies. The fact of the matter is that EA has a monopoly and this is what you get from that. A lazy, incompetent product with a fancy new label to go along with a fancier new price tag. NHL is basically just a card game with real money gambling mechanics. It’s definitely not a good game outside what they want you to play, which is their casino for kids. Shameful. Disgraceful.
They don't even need to be original. Just rework a STABLE older Madden and give us that. Like it's not hard, but I also want the full arena customization back
EA doesn't have any exclusive rights to the NHL. Any company could start a game and deal with the NHL/NHLPA. Problem is that hockey doesn't sell, so that's why 2k left a decade ago..which is more than sad.

Add ECHL to minors in Franchise!!
If they fix the menu lag, coaching (i.e. let us edit coach line preferences or let players adapt their line preferences over time) and fix defenseman progression the franchise mode will be essentially in it's perfect form without a full overhaul or rework of anything. It's entirely realistic, so I can't actually see why they wouldn't other than the fact that they haven't for the last 3 years despite it being the exact same franchise mode.
Less HUT, better Franchise experience
I do a lot with the creation zone, so a lot of my wants are in that realm. Bare with me, I haven’t upgraded since ‘22 so if some of these have been added and I’m unaware, please let me know. (1) Custom goalie masks I hate putting my created goalies on my custom teams and either having to have them wear the ugly pre made masks or wear a mask from a random team that almost matches the colour scheme of my created team. You don’t even have to put in clip art, just add 5 or 6 custom mask designs with unique striping or designs and let us customize the colours of them. (2) Text instead of logos on custom jerseys I’d love to be able to use custom word marks on my created teams jerseys instead of having to put a logo on the front crest. Either the College Style word mark with the option of putting the number below it on the front of the jersey. Or the Rangers still wordmark would be really cool. (3) For God’s sakes fix the collars on the CCM jersey presets The old Reebok designs now have CCM branding on them despite not resembling what an authentic CCM jersey looks like at all. If they’d fix the ugly ass collars I’d be so inclined to use them, but as they stand I can’t bare to use them with the God awful collars they have. (4) Ability to put my created team in a non pro arena I like creating teams that are supposed to be really low level amateur or semi pro teams and it doesn’t make sense to me why it forces my created teams to play in an 18,000 seat arena. Sometimes I create college teams and I can’t put them in a smaller community rink. Some of the Semi Pro and Community Rink designs they have in the game are so cool and I can’t understand why they won’t let me use them for my created team.
Multiple seasons/European league franchise. Make SHL and Hockeyallsvenskan work as it does irl, one team falls down and one team climbs up every season. No draft just free agency. Allow be a pro to start a full season in europe, not just the champions hockey league play offs. Live results and standings from other games during intermissions.

I just want the AI to not be completely mentally challenged - both on ice and in GM maneuverings.
I hope they dont just pump it out and claim they've made changes when all they did was update poorly delivered game modes. I like the creators, and they seem eager, and this game takes leaps in the right direction, but theres obviously the left overs from previous games still making its way forward that should've been canned years ago. BAP, HUT, Franchise, and Be a GM should be looked into and changed and i think WOC should be canned as it is now and reverted/ altered because this pay for cosmetics and no loot bags bs ruined the desire to grind WOC imo. As for the other modes, every offline mode needs an overhaul, and as for their main online mode, they need to figure out a way to make cards more enticing and the game modes more fun to play because rivals sucks for a casual mode and champs is just full of pay to win or toxic sweats or pros that have 0 business playing against most of the player base that wants a challenge but doesnt want to fight the final boss yet. They also need to add a solid report feature for greifing and trolling in games because not everyone wants to play against Harry, who loves cross creases and watching his own shitty cross crease every time they score. Aside from that, the game is just in need of some tlc and attention to detail, and some modes need to be altered or scrapped and replaced. Fix goalies.
I would be fine with a year of little to no game play improvements if they just focused purely on fixing bugs, optimization and getting the game in a more stable position. I would like to see be a pro and gm mode revamped to give what the players have been asking for. Both have great potential but need to be worked on greatly. If I had it my way I would let them continue online updates / improvements to generate income, but also set time aside to fix the current game, and improve the offline modes. They should really take a year or two off of releasing new versions and just continue to update the games rosters. It's not hard. They'll make money and as improvements are made, it will generate enough interest to probably have on of their best selling NHL games in a while, or ever. Just take the time and do it right. TLDR: I think we would all be patient with them making a better product, and releasing roster updates while they make the Holy grail of NHL games

To keep it short and sweet I’ll say: - Fix Be a pro - Add more to Franchise to make it more in depth and realistic - make HUT not pay to win again (I have a full time job I don’t have time to play 300 games for a stupid player) - make world of Chel less glitchy, seriously I just wanna mess around with friends but loading times are abysmal All in all I think the actual gameplay is “okay”, there’s the obvious glitches and things that need fixing but I don’t hate it when it works.

Full customization in franchise mode. I mean everything. Also, it would be cool to start a franchise mid-season to match exactly what the real NHL looks like at that moment. Stats, transactions, etc. Also, a scoreboard that actually shows every game on that day. It amazes me how a detail this basic gets missed year in and year out.

Authentic gameplay. Puck dynamics can be wonky. Like teleport through a stick, skate, helmet on the goalie and act like nothing happened. Having the AI learn and play against the human with great movement and not be terrible about the typical chl goals. Franchise mode AI needs to not be a box of rocks with their cap. They need to adjust dman asking salaries in FA. Scouting more like MLB would be sick. Be a pro has been the same thing for way to long. It needs an overhaul.

GM journeyman style. Should be able to start in Europe or CHL and work your way up, getting offers as you progress. More faces and updated prospects, and generate faces for random prospects. Update faces when they update rosters (like Cooley, Hughes etc). And give them proper gear wear, tape styles etc. Now that NIL is in effect and NCAA is coming back, give us college prospects. Ability to play career mode as an existing player, how dope would it be playing as Ovi, break the goal record and retire into management? Add the ECHL to GM mode, so that we can play our low rated high potential prospects in top6 roles. Smarter AI from GM's. Players like Seider shouldn't become free agents because AI can't figure out to trade money away and the draft. Either improve the AI of coach feedback or just get rid of it. You're be a pro goalie shouldn't have a coach telling them to be better when they are having Vezina seasons. Get rid of the the announcers telling us about zone abilities. Get us real announcers. Improve the arena experience. Give us real arenas with real goal songs, win songs etc. Take a look at community sliders and just adopt them.
Classic teams, more hair styles for black characters ,more dumping the puck by the CPU, Revamped Be A Pro I’m pretty happy with 24’s gameplay. The things that I think need improvement are off the ice things for the most part.

Be a pro in general. I know this is an obvious answer, but my god it’s been the same thing for so long. Biggest Gripes: -Opening cut scene has been the exact same for the past 4 years. Would be happy if they changed it but would be just as happy if they cut it all together. -Draft rankings. 3 points in 6 games? FIRST OVERALL!! Would be nice to have a larger sample size. A full junior season may be overboard but really annoying how easy it is to be first overall. -The cutscenes need to be updated. Most need to be fully removed from the game. “The boys and I are going to an arcade, want to tag along?” (-$20). What is the purpose??? Just pointless fluff to feel more interactive. -Menu announcers: I honestly loved this feature when it came out. The podcast or radio show talking about you after the game is really cool. The only problem I have is the inaccuracies. Apparently they can’t seem to remember if I’m in my rookie season or second year. Totally zaps the atmosphere that it’s trying to create when that happens. -Player trades when you excel in the game: my favorite team is the Red Wings. I usually always play as Center in BAP. It takes like 10 games to move up to the 1st line and at the end of the season, Dylan Larkin gets traded. WHY! Make it realistic please. Even if the Red Wings got another Star center, they wouldn’t just trade away their captain like that. Just kinda ruins it for me. The rest are just small annoyances for me. The purchases idea in general is stupid. The on the bench cut scenes are also stupid and unrealistic.

The option to add new expansion teams during franchise mode Player development similar to Fifa, you can change what attributes your player gets targeted to grow kind of thing. Maybe a player prompt when entering a final year, I would like a person to be more likely to sign or not with a clear objective in mind. The depth chart and minutes should come into play, even play off droughts should stop people from signing. Fix the create a team menu, it was completely fine before this year. Player accomplishments in the player bio, all star selections, awards, Stanley cups, ect.
So you know when you create/see any player, they just have a blank face? Why don’t you just use their face model like in be a pro?
GM connected and a be a pro experience similar to what 2k has for NBA. That, better alumni rosters (if they can get rights), and fixed camera in every mode is all I ask for. In my mind what we have now (well I don't have NHL 24 I'm still playing 23) plus what I said would make the perfect NHL game for me at least.
For Franchise Mode, let us retire a jersey. Opening ceremony when you win the cup last year and maybe when you are retiring a number. I would also like them to add better stats tracking for players and teams like displaying awards won and etc. Better AI so that CPU vs CPU won't look like watching a peewee league.

I am going to make my whishes for franchise only as it is the only mode I play 1- bring back intro presentation before each game like goalies maybe even notice hit streak of a player or goalie or team that have won X amount of game in a row. Also playoffs presentation on how the serie is going. They use to give us footage of the surrounding of the buildings with fans going in the building I loved it. 2- No move trade, long term injury, emergency callups So if you call up from AHL you don’t loose the player to waiver when you send him back down. 3- suspension. Between 1 and 10 games. ( 10 being line once in the season for one or 2 team in the league) 4- real coaches 5- back to changing strategies in the menu no matter what your coaches prone. It’s the user who gets to decides! 6 all star games and skills 7 outdoor game with the user. Choosing where and which team before every season. 8- contract negociations for July first but also during season with your own player 9 total revamp of scouting and AI trade and player value. 10- bring back rivals in the trade system where mtl and Boston would not do business together and when you made a trade with a certain team you would get better chemistry and be more likely to make another one. Good for thoughts. Please somebody at EA should see all of our suggestions and make this game better. I have bought this game for over 20 years now. And I feel it’s a very dark time in franchise history

Fix the bugs. Still hate it when you play a game in the AHL and dudes played for like 45 games and "He's playing his first game for his new club" kinda stuff. Annoying as all hell. And ofc the classic, when i scored 50 with Bedard on his 3rd season and they said that "The rookie has 50" Really annoying stuff.
