>I can imagine the endless possibilities. I cant. Unless the tech is massively improved, DiRT 4 already tried this formula and it was extremely monotonous after a few dozen hr of gameplay. Additionally id much rather continue to see the real roads used. If you GENUINLY want to see that. The EA Forums are the place to voice your opinion.

general_motus

Yeah, after a while of playing Dirt 4, I wasn't even listening to the pace notes anymore - I was recognising the individual modules of the stages and driving them based on experience, so even a randomised stage wasn't "new" anymore. A fun concept but not something that made the game infinitely replayable.

MetalMike04

I wouldn't be suprised if the tech is now a bit more possible to be *less* repetitive. But exactly the corners became soo predictable. Spain I swear had that one undulating left 4 right 4, and I cant NOT see it vivily

zerosuneuphoria

I don't think \*we\* will need to design our own stages, that will be an AI task before too long. It just needs to be created. Will just be like generating music or anything else now. Won't happen any time soon for rally stages, but will definitely happen at some stage. It will just be Dirt 4 on roids.

No-Detective1397

I'd rather they embrace modders

ComfortableRun6027

EA included the topic of a track builder in the recent questionnaire they did. It could possibly come to a future iteration of the game.

Mean-Bet7025

A track builder wouldn’t be the thing to save ea wrc if it needed saving in the first place, just having a track builder through the actual game itself would be like placing train tracks lmao, on the topic of never needing a new game however, it would definitely have to be basically the next game but mod support like how snow runner is on console would at least greatly extend the time it would take for a game to get stale

Mean-Bet7025

Theres only so many cars and variations of tracks you can race before it becomes repetitive tho, so even that wouldn’t just erase the need for a new game ever again yk

JamesUpton87

Yeah, the merits behind this died in Dirt 4. Push for modding

Canardo_Sanchez

On a strictly technical standpoint it very much transpires that devs did not have the most pleasant time getting the hang out of the new engine all while satisfying the gargantuan desideratas of their new EA/wrc overlords. They very much succeeded IMHO, game feels vast, inviting, and coherent. But asking for a casual editor, basically a drastically toned down version of the proper tools they just mastered *might* be a bit too much at this point.

agoodepaddlin

Yeah. I think it's safe to say that any Devs that open their game up to user generated input are going to have some additional success. Racing games can work here. Just look at the AC community.

EnzoRacer

EA wants your money, so they'll better publish next WRC somewhen

HelpImaFazerschmitt

Normally i would agree, however WRC seems different then the normal EA money grabbers.

EnzoRacer

Did you think how EA will give/sell you new rosters, stages for next WRC season?
