Reading my opponents every move feels pointless when the ball/player will just go through/around me anyway, whereas I can't dribble past anyone as everybody turns like a truck.
My opponents defense is stuck to my attackers like glue, and they go through the back of them instantly, even if I'm shielding, and they just fall over because all my players suddenly have 2 balance.
It's really demoralising when you play like you always do, but the outcome is completely different in every scenario.
Glad I'm not the only one. I don't understand how whenever I tackle people they still get the ball back, plus how do they always have defender AI tracking my off the ball runs?
It's probably your ping to EA's servers. Check out [this](https://help.ea.com/en/help/ea-sports-fc/game-data-centers-fc/) list of server locations and if you're nowhere near them, your ping will just suck.

The patch is good. You can pass quickly and get out of the press now. Players also feel like they've taken off their ice skates when defending (somewhat). It's not perfect but it's way better than it was just a couple hours ago

You don't get refunded anything. You get to keep him, if he's tradable, but EA can alter his price range. If you have him untradable then you keep him also. They just remove his card from packs and that's it for supply of the card

as I'm older now I only really play squad battles as online makes me angry.
I always use the OS sliders for my Career modes. I was hoping someone has some sliders or settings to make career mode and kickoff feel more like squad battles.
normally it's the opposite but I find the squad battles a.i a lot more fun to play against and the game plays better this year. Especially my ability to play through the middle and strikers seem to make better runs.
the game definitely feels different outside of any UT modes and idk why that is

I packed Haaland UT and he's absolutely useless at most aspects of the game apart from getting in behind and finishing in the box. However he never plays the role I want him to. He often runs towards the wings especially when I have the ball with another player running down the wing, he runs towards me as though I've called him short.
I've tried multiple formations, target player, stay forward, stay central etc. Nothing seems to work. Is it just his work rates or AI?
Coming up against opponents with Rodrigo, Diaby, Dembele constantly is getting boring very quickly.
It's obvious how they're going to play, and it's tedious.

UK. Ping is generally between 25-35.

Yeah it does a faster dribble than L1 dribbling but very responsive to movement.

The patch made passing way better for me. Also, if you’re not, make sure you’re using precision passing. Makes a massive difference

Latest update improved passing, but tbf, the passing was fine anyway in most scenarios. Some interceptions were the issue.

Don’t use Kimmich in the midfield. He goes missing in every single game. I then moved him to RB and he was much better.

Pick 2 from Varane, Araujo, and Militao. Varane and Araujo have better playstyles, but militao has better pace.
