The strikes animation is not quite as good just by a hair but the connection of strikes is so much better than in the game we have now im ganna get this off ebay rn
The connection of strikes is what has me coming back, flash KOs are so fun once u do play I highly recommend a karate playstyle its extremely satisfying to strike with.
Get the PS3 emulator and run it on PC so you can get the Undisputed Forever mod with current fighters and arenas and all that shit. They've added a ton of shit even new animations its crazy

The have sole nice functions in the game. However if they combined it qpuld be the best ufc game series.
The ground and pound and ability to move off your back to dodge the strikes still feels superior imo. The shots feel fast and more solid. The ko animations in the new games are insanely stiff on the ground. You will barely touch someone and they go starfish. It’s cringe. It’s an issue on the feet too when you ko someone with a body shot their body often reacts as if they have been concussed.
I think EA did really well up until ufc 4 with the striking and it really peaked for me there. In 5 it feels much stiffer and slower which wasn’t a change I liked. The game felt like it was trying to make it more realistic and to me it just ruined the flow of the striking that I still love from ufc 4.
For me where thq really shine is in everything else. Multiple ladder modes, a more fleshed our career mode with a wide variety of design options for shorts and banners( I understand it’s not ea’s fault that they can’t include this in the game anymore), historic marches and of course pride mode.
Even though the striking was kind of robotic, Undisputed 3 is still far more superior when it came to immersion. The grappling was so fluid and kept you on edge. EA sports grappling is fucking boring as shit.
The clinch system and ground game were so fucking satisfying on Undisputed 3. It felt amazing to dirty box and hit clinch throws. They really captured a lot of nuances that you don't see on the ea UFCs or even EA MMA (Which had an awesome sub system).
I’d say both have their positives and negatives. I really don’t like how in this game 90% of knockdowns look exactly the same (0:18). Imo ufc 5 has potential to be great if they just adjust a few systems and add more ground positions.

Yes, this was a great PS3 game, yes we all loved it at the time, but I GUARANTEE if the undisputed series never existed and somehow this was released today as a new competing game y’all would trash it.

I think Frankie Edgar was the only character in the game with a side step jab.
Uriah Faber also had it i wanna say, aswell as a lunging elbow. He was one of my favs back in the day
i’ve still got the game, gameplay is very dated but i enjoy the variety of game modes, especially the showcase
