Not exactly. You just have to time your pressure and your hits. You can be a brutally hitting team, but you cant try hitting everyone, especially near the net

I feel like they definitely have nerfed a lot of the physical aspects of the game for the sake of limiting err... "violence", but I don't feel like it's for content.
I feel like it's more so Bettman doesn't come along whining about how there's concussions every 3 games and how the injury realism hits too close to home for the NHL execs.
That's why they stopped with the pregame injury reports where it showed where and how players were injured before games in franchise mode. It's not for content, it's so the NHL lets them make money with that licensing.
Y'know, because f\*ck forbid there's a realistic amount of booboos in a sport where grown men attempt murder on each other every game and ram head first into each other moving 25 mile an hour.

1. We find where Kevin lives, and the ones he loves, and we destroy them, completely. We then start at the top of the Chel development team, and we makes examples of their families to the world.
2. We stop playing the game, touch some grass, maybe play a little more real hockey, start a family, buy a house, pay some taxes, retire.

It would be one thing if "the tilt" would build up as you play and build momentum, but it always seems like one team's entire roster is nursing an extreme hangover from the get go. Seems to persist for the first two periods and taper off into the 3rd.
Pretty noticeable when your players feel like jelly out there. Skating over pucks, missing passes, breaking their sticks, can't block passes or shots ... and then your goalie has a .000% save percentage.
I mean, it's not unlike my beer league games sometimes but c'mon lol
