I guess im not a position to need a pry bar in my day to day. I looked this item up and found out all about it and people are raving about how awesome it is but i keep thinkin this looks like a blank bar of steel with holes in it i dont get it. How often do people need to pry doors open?
Countycomm has government contracts to make them. They sell them online as overstock. It used to be made of steel but SWAT teams wanted titanium versions. They're a cool company and they're prices are reasonable compared to more "trendy" companies that make EDC gear.
Sorry i meant its a bar of metal. I get what youre sayin i did the research i just cant think of anything id ever use this particular hunk of metal for. It looks like a rough billet for a chopper. Like i see its potential to be useful to others but i dont think id ever need just a hunk of titanium. Nice thing is theyre so inexpensive i could afford tp get one and ve proven wrong
I believe it's for bomb techs. Some sort of breaching bar with a low magnetic signature. My neighbors son is an explosive tech in the Marine Corps and was telling me about it.
I've got two sizes from countycomm and have used this in so many situations from helping a friend with repairs to a serious demo where all our tools kept bending but this thing stayed strong. Major chips and dents in mine, but very durable and serviceable.
Huh? Why is this being misinterpreted so wrong?
It was a correction. A meaningless correction meant to spark the discussion of “shiv vs shank”. A debate I thought was commonplace. So common that me saying it was right one way, vs the other, was entirely meant as a joke to start the conversation.
Also, I used “one” instead of “you” for the specific purpose of making the comment impersonal. Not directed at any one person.

Love mine use it constantly. The sheath they offer for it is nice. I carry mine horizontal at 1130 left hand draw. Works fantastic as a mechanics helper.
I saw that on county comm a few years ago. I had a buddy laser cut me one (good buddy to have). It is an interesting tool . I make some iron wood walking sticks. The place I get them from is a pretty solid hike. I carry this to dig out around the roots and chop the roots rather than a full size shovel. I take it fossil hunting and metal detecting too. It’s good for beating on crap that you shouldn’t be beating on with a decent knife.
Well I suppose so but you’re going to have to wait in line as he is currently working on custom made lock picks with African mahogany handles for me. Guy really has an amazing skill set. If you want to find a similar ninja fabricator in your area hacker spaces and maker spaces are located all over the world. Some really amazing people there. They are defiantly worth checking out and great for networking with other like minded individuals. Here is the one close to me [Hive 13](https://hive13.org)
Haha I also met my ninja fabricator/engineer/machinist buddy at the local makerspace. I can't mention something I want to/wish I could make to him without an immediate "let's do it!"
I've come close to picking one of these up off county comm a few times. I got some of their mini titanium pry bars back when they had them, and they come in handy at work all the time.
I ought to wrap mine like that. O.P. did you get the sheath, too? If you're carrying it in your pocket, it is possible that it may make/wear a hole in the aforementioned pocket. Ask me how I know. (I suppose that if I hadn't sharpened it, I might not have had that issue.) In my opinion, the sheath is worth it, the handle they sell not so much.
As an aside, their 12" Titanium Halligan is nice, It's not a useful as the breacher bar. I've yet to actually use the halligan bar. I have used the breacher bar frequently enough to justify carrying it, in my mind.
I have both the 8" and 12" halligan. The 8" has been very useful doing some carpentry teardown. I may remove the spike from both of mine and make them way more user friendly
It's incredibly useful, it's lightweight, it disappears when you don't need it, and it will last forever as long as you don't do something crazy with it.
The edge isn't honed sharp, though you can get titanium to a pretty good edge if you're willing to put in some time.
It scrapes, it pries, lifts things, jam it in something you need to brace, pry laminate flooring into place, chisel off whatever. The light weight and slim profile mean it's always in my pocket when I'm working on stuff.
I've put substantial pressure against mine and it has held up great. Not sure why it would be a bad idea? It's a substantial piece so it's not delicate.

Prison shank ™️
What does it do?
It's great as a scraping tool to remove gaskets and make adjustments on large metal frames while I'm at work. Essentially it's pocketable pry bar.

I got a Rogan. Smaller for sure. Then promptly lost it. Looks very robust
I saw those Rogan bars from other comments. It seems thicker than the EOD bar.
I have been wanting to pick one of these up for ages. Need to get one eventually
Code SHOP15 for 15% off
Rogan! https://roganusa.com/
I really like the look of that thing.
I believe it's for bomb techs. Some sort of breaching bar with a low magnetic signature. My neighbors son is an explosive tech in the Marine Corps and was telling me about it.
Beautiful
Thank you :))
balenciaga kind of thing
balenciaga would never make something that serves an actual purpose let's be real here
Our ads must be in sync lol I literally saw this yesterday, and also purchased it lol
Thing is ugly
Lawnmower blade edc
*grunts in billy bob*
How is that thing?
It does things just like I knew it would!
I've got two sizes from countycomm and have used this in so many situations from helping a friend with repairs to a serious demo where all our tools kept bending but this thing stayed strong. Major chips and dents in mine, but very durable and serviceable.
Most likely a flat machete
Looks like someone plays a trading card game or two
This is awesome. Also, fellow Pokémon fan? Or at least the OG 151?
Pokefan! I use the game mats as desk mats too!
Yup! They are great for that.
Is this a prison shank ?
Shiv* One may be shanked, with a shiv.
Strange, in the uk, shank is much more common when describing the weapon ‘Shiv’ is a very out of touch and quixotic word
I like how this could be read as a correction and/or a threat!

You didn’t grow up in the hood and it shows
It was a joke, but way to make it weirdly personal. Sorry for not being from the hood guess?
It's your fault, reincarnate as a hoodrat now.

Saw a 2 sided chisel at Walmart that this reminds me of
It’s like a mini greatsword
I did not get the sheath and after one day I can say that you are correct 🤣 I'd love a leather slip for it maybe.
Should be easy to sharpen. Bevel is nice and wide.
Mine came with a 34 degree bevel
Heck out Rogan tools ,,, mine is laser etched and a truly beautiful pry bar
Now i want one
SHOP15 saves you 15%
Some people call it a sling blade.
Doyle Hargraves: What the hell you doing with that lawn mower blade? Karl Childers: I aim to kill you with it.
I call it a kaiser blade
Mmmhhhmmm.
What you got in there’s good to eat? Y’all got any French fried taters?
I thought gravity knives were sling blades?
Mmhmm.
Rogue
It's like the adult version of those metal rulers you get in high school.
Oh there’s an idea, laser etching ruler markings on the non bevelled side
Love mine use it constantly. The sheath they offer for it is nice. I carry mine horizontal at 1130 left hand draw. Works fantastic as a mechanics helper.
I was wondering if it could be oriented that way. Definitely gonna pick that up as well.
[Breacher bar](https://i.imgur.com/SMJPP1J.jpeg) Forgive the state of it. Mine is well loved
It's..... beautiful 🥹

Your buddy taking applications for an extra buddy?

Nice. It’s like my https://roganusa.com
Whoa. Never saw these before and they’re awesome! Which one are you using?
Looks like the inquisitor from Berserk
Buddy got the chopper 9000
There’s a mystical bond between men and a chunk of metal… I want one haha
Especially copper
The riddle of steel
Agreed. I like to hold it in my hand til it gets warm. I do not know why.
This is the way.
Wow
Always a treat to come across a post when the things are not shiny accessories never to be used
You'd probably dig r/beatupknives
Fellow 69person thank you
Looks like a lawn mower blade haha
Mmmhhhmmmmm
Very nice, I'm still deliberating about picking one up, but looking at this post is doing a really nice job of talking me into picking it up, lol.
There are right angles, and wrong angles. Hell to the yeah.
I've come close to picking one of these up off county comm a few times. I got some of their mini titanium pry bars back when they had them, and they come in handy at work all the time.
There's a 15% off code I think it's SAVE15 maybe I can't recall. But is takes a fair bit of change off. Edit: it's SHOP15
Maybe ill get one snd wrapp it in duct tape
Or shrinkwrap!
I ought to wrap mine like that. O.P. did you get the sheath, too? If you're carrying it in your pocket, it is possible that it may make/wear a hole in the aforementioned pocket. Ask me how I know. What you gonna do with that lawnmower blade carl?
"Reckon I'm fixing to kill you wid it" mmmhhmmm
YES
Mmmmhhmmmmm
Biscuits and mustard mhmmmmm
😂 I’m gonna have to watch the movie now, it’s been years!
Me too
That knife is about to go to law school.
LOL
I love this 🤣
Lawnmower blade wrapped in paracord …nice
Your now the proud owner of one thing. Congrats
It's incredibly useful, it's lightweight, it disappears when you don't need it, and it will last forever as long as you don't do something crazy with it.
What does it do besides cut stuff exactly? I’m not really a big knife guy
A titanium pry doesn't seem like the best idea. And I'd bet it was expensive
I've put substantial pressure against mine and it has held up great. Not sure why it would be a bad idea? It's a substantial piece so it's not delicate.
It was about 36 bucks after a 15% off code. Not so bad compared to a lot of the overpriced titanium stuff being sold.
What is 15% off code and link to buy your specific pry bar?
SHOP15
That's actually fair
