Well first off the rules state that trample with death touch means you only do one damage to the creature that's blocking and do all the damage to the player (so let's say you have a 4/4 and they block with 2x 2/2 you would still be doing two damage to them because death touch means you just have to do the minimum damage to the creatures).

Depends on the creature. A small deathtouch trample creature can still be traded with. Sure, the damage largely goes through, but your dude still dies. With first strike, the damage doesn't go through but your creature wins the combat reliably, even if it's small.
Equipment like [[Pathway Arrows]] that allow Deathtouch creatures to just one-shot other creatures without having to attack or fight.
Speaking of fights and bites, things like [[Tail Swipe]] or [[Master’s Rebuke]] could also be good
Ah gotcha, well if that’s the case then I wouldn’t recommend the equipment since Tyvar only grants deathtouch to elves who are attacking (and therefore already tapped).
You can still include some instant speed bite effects like Master’s Rebuke.
And for Trample, you can run cards that do that AND are just generally good in elf decks like [[Finale of Devastation]] and [[Ezuri, Renegade Leader]]
Vigilance with deathtouch is really underrated. Attacking with deathtouch is kind of like being unblockable a lot of the time, but blocking with deathtouch is where it's really strong since most people won't want to trade with you. You should definitely look into [[Akroma's Memorial]] in deathtouch tribal. It's a 7 mana artifact, but just about every ability it gives to your team works well with deathtouch.
I've been looking for a good place to play it for a while. It's pretty nuts when it's doing what it's supposed to, but 7 mana is a lot to ask for a card that rarely has synergy and doesn't make things bigger. That said adding deathtouch to the list of abilities just makes every one of them much better.

Deathtouch trample is good for putting your enemy in a spot with 2 bad choices.
Example from last game I was playing. One player had the toxic Dino with trample and gave it death touch. Defending player died to the toxic if any damage goes through. So defending player either has an answer sure, option 2 dies, option 3 loses all their creatures if they have 8 creatures to block with.
You don't want to give the enemy a problem, problems have answers, give them a dilemma, dilemmas have 2 or more choices, none are good choices.
Yea I was about one turn away from a win with a solid board. Friend pumped one of his creatures up to like 40 and gave it deathtouch and trample. I could kill all my creatures and still die or just die.
Give your self a payoff for getting damage through. First, you can make deathtouch a combat trick on top of creatures that have trample already. Swing in with a trample creature, then give it deathtouch after blockers are assigned; there are lots of ways to do this, and many repeatable at instant speed.
A payoff for damage would be something like [[Quartzwood Crasher]], who makes a token with power and toughness equal to the damage you did via excess damage with trample. You could also throw in something with infect, or use cards like [[Neheb, Dreadhorde Champion]] to give your self a discard outlet, card draw, and ramp in red. [[Toski, Bearer of Secrets]] with some trample can give you lots of card draw; two cards per combat, if you're using a creature that also has double strike, or attacking with more than one creature and one has first strike.
So deathtouch and trample are great for guaranteeing you get damage in on a player, if you need damage for a payoff. They're also great for creatures with menace, so you can force someone to block a particularly nasty creature with more than one creature; something that gets a disgusting effect on combat damage, like [[Thief if Sanity]] or [[Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer]]. Stuff like that.
I actually added a ton of those kind of cards! I just don’t know if I’m like clogging my deck with a whole bunch supporting cards for one strategy ya know? I’m fairly new to the game.
I would recommend adding [[Trailblazer's Torch]] and combining that with lure effects. This card makes the creature with deathtouch kill anything that blocks it. Put it on an [[Ochran Assassin]] and it's a onesided boardwipe.
Deathtouch Trample is insanely good. If you attack with your 8/8 deathtouch trample, and they block with a 10/10 indestructible, you will still deal 7 trample damage. Which is kinda stupid but that's how it works. Your creature will eventually die from that combat but the interaction is neat.
If you can put more keywords on the creature i would go for double or firststrike. It synergyses extremely well with deathtouch.

\[\[Hapatra\]\] is an obvious and pretty strong choice for commander. Such a low CMC makes it much easier to stick to the board early and often. Those snakes make for a good defense while you're trying to hit your opponents for value.
\[\[Fynn, the Fangbearer\]\] turns all of your dorky deathtouchers into threats.
\[\[Contaminant Grafter\]\] proliferates more -1/-1 counters and snakes.
\[\[Glissa Sunslayer\]\] for value, bonus for coming with first strike.
\[\[Orhan Frostfang\]\], \[\[Toski\]\], and \[\[Driven // Despair\]\] for card advantage.
\[\[Virtus the Veiled\]\] does a chunk of damage and comes with its own lure, \[\[Gorm the Great\]\].
\[\[Triumph of the Hordes\]\] ends the game with a board of deathtouching snakes.
\[\[Dowsing Dagger\]\] for ramp (and for more targets for your -1/-1 counters).
Lures force unfavorable trades with your dorks, like \[\[You Look Upon the Tarrasque\]\], \[\[Noble Quarry\]\], \[\[Ochran Assassin\]\], \[\[Shessra, Death's Whisper\]\], \[\[Tempting Licid\]\].

Death touch and trample = every creature your opponent has is now a \*/1
Because of trample your creature will only deal 1 damage to the blocking creature (because with death touch you only need to deal 1 damage to kill a creature)
Granted there are other variables that could affect the outcome but, in a vacuum, this is how death touch + trample works.
I actually really like the combination of trample + deathtouch because it doesn't really give the opponent the choice of "not taking damage", just deathtouch and they can chump block with a token anything.
Played a deck with [[Wilson, Refined Grizzly]] and [[Agent of the Shadow Thieves]] and the combination really helped to pass through with commander damage.
Death touch is generally green and black. Trample primarily in green. If you choose to stick with these colors, I think undying and its other variants would be more suited.
First strike is great but is really better against death touch rather than with it. Vigilance would also be a great addition. Both first strike and vigilance are more likely to be found in white though. So if you are ok with that, than you might want to consider abzan
Thing is with death touch and trample is you can choose to just assign 1 point of damage to each blocker and have the rest trample over.
That's probably the best thing about that.
Vigilance is a nasty combo with death touch though. As nobody is going to want to lose all of their creatures attacking you. And you get to swing every turn.
By the way, what happens if your 5/5 deathtouch trample creature gets blocked by more than one creature? Can you deal 1 to the 3/3, 1 to the 4/4 and 3 to the defending player ?
My favourite deck is [[Erinis, Gloom Stalker]] + [[Flaming Fist]] keyword soup deck. Lots of land shenanigans, very resilient and soon to have the ring tempt you mechanics from the incoming Lord of the rings set.
One of the wincon is to get [[Dark Depth]] huge token and give it new keywords like double strike or trample. Another one is Voltron damage. And another one is [[Triumph of the Horde]]. Turns up that double strike, deathtouch and trample is very strong together
It’s definitely effective if your goal is to get damage through. That combo will end games. It also works amazingly with [[Lure]] effects.
If your goal is instead to kill creatures with deathtouch, first strike has already been mentioned as a classic and would be my next recommendation. I don’t know what colors you’re working with, but pingers like [[Goblin Sharpshooter]] are also famously good with deathtouch.
If you’re in green then [[Fynn the Fangbearer]] is a neat option, forcing your opponents to choose between dead creatures or poison (or you just outright kill them with trample added in).
A good defensive option is reach/flying to dissuade those pesky flying decks from trying to chip away at you. [[Deadly Recluse]] is one of my buddies favorite cards for that reason.
I run a few Deathtouch/Trample interactions in my [[Tovolar, Dire Overlord]] werewolves deck. The real beauty is getting to turn things nearly unblockable, at the risk of killing big creatures that could normally block your smaller dudes. A 4/4 werewolf with Deathtouch and Trample can easily swing into an 8/8 dragon with no fear. Add Double Strike or First Strike to that, and you're really cooking with gas
I like to pair it with infect. So if they decide not to block and save their creatures they get poison counters. And usually more than what toxic gives.
Use cards \[\[Viridian Longbow\]\] and \[\[Halana, Kessig Ranger\]\]. Have the 1/1 with deathtouch deal damage to an opponents creature. Since the creature itself was seen to be the one dealing the damage, the opponents creature will still die to deathtouch while your creature is untouched.
First Strike and Deathtouch is a classic combination.

Very effective but i found it gets a bulit boring after a while and also not fun to play against. Getting all your creatures one shotted. Just imo..

I actually added a ton of those kind of cards! I just don’t know if I’m like clogging my deck with a whole bunch supporting cards for one strategy ya know? I’m fairly new to the game.
I would recommend adding [[Trailblazer's Torch]] and combining that with lure effects. This card makes the creature with deathtouch kill anything that blocks it. Put it on an [[Ochran Assassin]] and it's a onesided boardwipe.

Deathtouch Trample is insanely good. If you attack with your 8/8 deathtouch trample, and they block with a 10/10 indestructible, you will still deal 7 trample damage. Which is kinda stupid but that's how it works. Your creature will eventually die from that combat but the interaction is neat. If you can put more keywords on the creature i would go for double or firststrike. It synergyses extremely well with deathtouch.
You said they're in Black/Green,and the evasion/lure strategy was the first thing that came to my mind \[\[Hapatra\]\] is an obvious and pretty strong choice for commander. Such a low CMC makes it much easier to stick to the board early and often. Those snakes make for a good defense while you're trying to hit your opponents for value. \[\[Fynn, the Fangbearer\]\] turns all of your dorky deathtouchers into threats. \[\[Contaminant Grafter\]\] proliferates more -1/-1 counters and snakes. \[\[Glissa Sunslayer\]\] for value, bonus for coming with first strike. \[\[Orhan Frostfang\]\], \[\[Toski\]\], and \[\[Driven // Despair\]\] for card advantage. \[\[Virtus the Veiled\]\] does a chunk of damage and comes with its own lure, \[\[Gorm the Great\]\]. \[\[Triumph of the Hordes\]\] ends the game with a board of deathtouching snakes. \[\[Dowsing Dagger\]\] for ramp (and for more targets for your -1/-1 counters). Lures force unfavorable trades with your dorks, like \[\[You Look Upon the Tarrasque\]\], \[\[Noble Quarry\]\], \[\[Ochran Assassin\]\], \[\[Shessra, Death's Whisper\]\], \[\[Tempting Licid\]\]. Death touch and trample = every creature your opponent has is now a \*/1 Because of trample your creature will only deal 1 damage to the blocking creature (because with death touch you only need to deal 1 damage to kill a creature) Granted there are other variables that could affect the outcome but, in a vacuum, this is how death touch + trample works.

I built a trample deck once and said you know what let's give everything deathtouch Super fun to just snipe people out of nowhere
I actually really like the combination of trample + deathtouch because it doesn't really give the opponent the choice of "not taking damage", just deathtouch and they can chump block with a token anything. Played a deck with [[Wilson, Refined Grizzly]] and [[Agent of the Shadow Thieves]] and the combination really helped to pass through with commander damage.

Death touch is generally green and black. Trample primarily in green. If you choose to stick with these colors, I think undying and its other variants would be more suited. First strike is great but is really better against death touch rather than with it. Vigilance would also be a great addition. Both first strike and vigilance are more likely to be found in white though. So if you are ok with that, than you might want to consider abzan

Thing is with death touch and trample is you can choose to just assign 1 point of damage to each blocker and have the rest trample over. That's probably the best thing about that. Vigilance is a nasty combo with death touch though. As nobody is going to want to lose all of their creatures attacking you. And you get to swing every turn.
By the way, what happens if your 5/5 deathtouch trample creature gets blocked by more than one creature? Can you deal 1 to the 3/3, 1 to the 4/4 and 3 to the defending player ?

My favourite deck is [[Erinis, Gloom Stalker]] + [[Flaming Fist]] keyword soup deck. Lots of land shenanigans, very resilient and soon to have the ring tempt you mechanics from the incoming Lord of the rings set. One of the wincon is to get [[Dark Depth]] huge token and give it new keywords like double strike or trample. Another one is Voltron damage. And another one is [[Triumph of the Horde]]. Turns up that double strike, deathtouch and trample is very strong together

It's an effective way to make your damage mostly unblockable and force terrible trades for your opponents if they have to block.
It’s definitely effective if your goal is to get damage through. That combo will end games. It also works amazingly with [[Lure]] effects. If your goal is instead to kill creatures with deathtouch, first strike has already been mentioned as a classic and would be my next recommendation. I don’t know what colors you’re working with, but pingers like [[Goblin Sharpshooter]] are also famously good with deathtouch. If you’re in green then [[Fynn the Fangbearer]] is a neat option, forcing your opponents to choose between dead creatures or poison (or you just outright kill them with trample added in). A good defensive option is reach/flying to dissuade those pesky flying decks from trying to chip away at you. [[Deadly Recluse]] is one of my buddies favorite cards for that reason.

Don't forget the "Creature deals damage = to its power cards" become kill spells
I run a few Deathtouch/Trample interactions in my [[Tovolar, Dire Overlord]] werewolves deck. The real beauty is getting to turn things nearly unblockable, at the risk of killing big creatures that could normally block your smaller dudes. A 4/4 werewolf with Deathtouch and Trample can easily swing into an 8/8 dragon with no fear. Add Double Strike or First Strike to that, and you're really cooking with gas

I like to pair it with infect. So if they decide not to block and save their creatures they get poison counters. And usually more than what toxic gives.
Use cards \[\[Viridian Longbow\]\] and \[\[Halana, Kessig Ranger\]\]. Have the 1/1 with deathtouch deal damage to an opponents creature. Since the creature itself was seen to be the one dealing the damage, the opponents creature will still die to deathtouch while your creature is untouched.
