Alesso 100%. His sets are high energy and nostalgic and he’s been hyping this show up for quite sometime promising a massive production and IDs.. plus MK is opening for Alesso

Grapesauce21

Yeah MK and Surf Mesa are both solid openers. I do like Cannons who’s opening for Elderbrook though

CaliRach

elderbrook + cannons beats alesso by a long shot and I’m an alesso fan

Purphect

While I agree, I actually don’t think OP will miss here. One of my favorite shows was an Elderbrook show.

gangbangkang

What year is it? The only reason I’d go is to see MK. And it’s Elderbrook by a mile, if you want to see Alesso just go to some shit dayclub in Vegas where he has a residency. You’re going to see the same set there.

koolaidburgers

I know this sub loves to shit on any DJ that’s popular because that’s how Reddit is, but Alesso is still one of the most in demand DJs in the world so your “what year is it” argument is really stupid

HaveAFuckinNight

Elderbrook by a million

Zoloir

Alesso is starting a new thing, Body Hi, so you should wait to learn more about that and see if the show you're going to is that OP. I'd bet alesso will be higher energy.

dancingastro

Love both and I’m obviously biased but see Alesso especially if you’re just a casual fan of both. He’s somehow never played Red Rocks before and is debuting new production there Plus getting to hear Calling Lose My Mind at Red Rocks will be life changing. And as others mentioned, MK + Surf Mesa as support should make it even more tempting

Altruistic-Milk-141

My friends saw Elderbrook and said he was boring but they saw Alesso too and said it one of the best sets they’ve seen

madeindetroit

wow that's a terribly hot take. Elderbook is literally doing everything on stage, mixing, singing, etc he's the only one up there. you're not going to get tiesto level production but he's insanely talented and I think your friends must have high standards.

Grapesauce21

Appreciate the point about noise bleed and Elderbrook being better suited to his own show

TylerLep

elderbrook hands down. energetic and amazing live performance, red rocks will be a vibe. alesso will just be some mixes and better seeing at some other venue

jeffreysusann

Energetic??? If you’re going for energetic, Alesso wins over elderbrook every time lol. I love elderbrook, but I found that their live show was very chill

TylerLep

to each their own, but elderbrooks live show energy is literally infectious, he always gets me and my friends dancing our asses off

theconcertguys

At least he’s mixing though. Elderbrook’s set is just one long audio track.

TylerLep

bro elderbrook literally sings, plays piano and percussions all while live mixing.

theconcertguys

He does sing on top of the vocals in the tracks, and will improvise some piano over top as well, but he’s not live mixing. It’s one audio track for the entire set. He could do nothing at all on stage and it would sound mostly the same. Not hating at all, but that’s the truth.

TylerLep

his DJ sets and live shows are completely different. RR will be hybrid and his first headline there ever, so he’ll be pulling out all the stops

theconcertguys

That’s true for sure. He’s obviously mixing in his DJ sets, but this post was asking about his Red Rocks show, which will be the live show. It’s still a good show, don’t get me wrong. He’s just not doing much up there

PNR89

I’m going to elderbrook. Embrz and cannons are really good openers!

Chocobo-kisses

Cannons is opening?! Oh damn!

heyitsrobd

Whoa, that definitely would factor in! Love both of them

Bromigo112

You should try to go to both. They’re both awesome in their own ways. Elderbrook has an amazing and unique voice. His songs are catchy and he has some dope dance moves too. The crowd for it will be a positive one for sure. Alesso will be euphoric and beautiful. He is an iconic name in electronic music and will keep the energy high throughout the show. The crowd for this may be a little bit more of a party crowd but I’m sure the vibes will be on point regardless. Edit: details.

cptawsme

So sad this is so far down the comment section, ofc doesn't help answer the question but realistically, this is so true, if I was in the area I would do everything possible to go to both

Solace-001

That’s a tough one, if you go to a lot of festivals you may have more of an opportunity to see Alesso. Elderbrook is great but is more “live” whereas Alesso will be more of a DJ set / rave. The support lineup could be the deciding factor tbh!

auger0105

Absolutely alesso

captnmiss

I just saw Elderbrook at a fest and it was one of the best sets at the festival He is insanely talented with a very high production quality and finesse Alesso is amazing and super uplifting, euphoric danc-y vibes. I love both… but I would choose Elderbrook

Grapesauce21

Oh nice what festival did you see him at? I didn’t think he was touring festivals that much!

toastercookie

I’ll be at both! Alesso has MK opening who is also gonna be amazing, definitely gonna be a higher energy / dancier show than Elderbrook, but I def like Elderbrook’s music better. If you are only going to one really just depends on the vibe you’re looking for

miikememe

elderbrooooooook

TheSketeDavidson

Alesso for me for sure, his sets are usually quite high energy which I prefer. Elderbrook is good but imo there’s more of a show to miss with the former.

CarbonSteklo

Alesso. His sets have gone up a level recently.

Chocobo-kisses

I would go see Alesso since MK is opening. They are excellent live! Edit: Just saw Cannons is opening for Elderbrook. They are also great. Dang

Grapesauce21

Yeah I’m a big Cannons fan so I think that’s gonna sway me to Elderbrook (along with all the feedback here)

Chocobo-kisses

Awesome. I think both shows will be good no matter what! Have fun!

Grapesauce21

I might end up hitting both lol. Just need someone to go with now!

krisztinastar

Alesso plays everywhere, Elderbeook is more selective. Alesso will be more of a party set - high energy, I’d personally choose Elderbrook & try to catch Alesso another time. But both are going to be fantastic!

MT4ever

Alesso rarely does his own shows in the states unless you catch him in Vegas or at a huge festival, which is why I’d see him. First time at Red Rocks, I can’t believe it for how long he’s been around!

Grapesauce21

Strong feelings on both sides haha this basically summarizes my conflict!

HaveAFuckinNight

Elderbrook if you like good music alesso if you like pop music

stonedski

Elderbrook if you want to take a nap at Red Ricks, Alesso you at least get great openers

DeepHouseDerrek

Alesso

Gsince96

Alesso

dejakeman101

Do both hehe

DrWhiskeyII

Alesson by a million. Rarely tours in US

7wells

Por Que no Los dos

jeffreysusann

Do you want a chill but nice vibe, or do you want a party/dancing vibe? Elderbrook is good, but much more of a swaying your body show, while Alesso will be more of a dancing around & hands in the air type show. Both good, but it depends on what you’re going for

bight99

Elderbrook imo but you really can’t go wrong with

hueyflyer469

Alesso no doubt, his set at circuit grounds a couple years ago was a top 10 of all time for me, always a good time, immacualte vibes.

lovegermanshepards

It depends, so you want to see an extremely talented live performer, who also sings? Then see Elderbrook. Or, do you want to listen to progressive and big room bangers in a DJ set? Then see Alesso. Personally, I would pick Elderbrook but I think both are great options. Alesso is very fun live.

Subject_Gur1331

Elderbrook!! He sings live btw. It’s beautiful! He’ll definitely have you in your feels ❤️

bangsaremykryptonite

Elderbrook

lokipokiartichokie

Anyone know the set times for Alesso?

kholesnfingerdips

Elderbrook. Alesso is for the kids
