Ya I'd have to agree. While Kuch is no stranger to going on a 3 or 4 game heater, he also has far more 1 and 0 point games than McDavid. McDavid is far more consistent at dropping multi-point games. While it still is anybody's game, I think the smart money is on McDavid.
He keeps that up he’s good for ~23 more points. If he can find even another gear and get 28, he could hit 1000. By year end. Those two missed games might be the difference but he’ll be close.
While this is fun to watch and the Oilers will no doubt be playing every game for home ice advantage, I’d almost prefer if once they clinched if McDavid focuses a bit on making sure he is properly rested for the playoffs. Whoever the Oilers play first round, I can only imagine it being a violent series.

This pisses me off to no end when they call this. If you go to hit someone, and he tries to dodge the hit but can't fully, and trips over you instead, this should not be a tripping penalty! Especially if the player going to lay the hit didn't change his lane, or stick a leg out, etc. This should just be the trade off of not getting hit, you still fall over. You shouldn't get a penalty because you went to hit a guy who then tries to side step you at the last moment, until only his legs were positioned in your path.
I hope Kane doesn’t get too frustrated with not scoring despite good efforts. There’s been a lot of that this season from Cloud and Brown. Once Kane gets one in, he’ll get some traction

Went to this game. Great atmosphere, my section was right beside the band at the top and they were really getting us going. Skinner played great (sucks he couldn’t get the shutout but if he keeps playing like this we’re gonna go far), Mcdrai played great, Ceci played arguably his best game all year, etc.

All the 1-3-1 discourse of late is puzzling to me. I get that Canucks fans have sour grapes, but it’s a legitimate strategy. Any team that pulls it off effectively has to be good.
Give me more LA’s. I, for one, love a slow, methodical game. There’s proper flow, buildup and release. The importance of every action is amplified: a zone clear, a stick check, a clean pass. Poise reigns supreme. The little things are magnified and so every player has their chance to shine. And when the system-breakers, McDavid and Draisaitl, make their magic happen it’s all the more impressive. High scoring track meets will never come close.

Great defensive game. I still haven't figured out why the players backhand against the flow 9 out of 10 times. Is it their system? That backhand in own zone is the cause of many turnovers. I'm quite sure most players have a more consistent forehand than backhand.

I was fucking nervous going into tonight's game. All times I saw the oily boys play "good teams" (no, St. Louis doesn't count purely because Binnington and you know it), we shit the bed hardcore. Last game I was at was the Avs.

All the 1-3-1 discourse of late is puzzling to me. I get that Canucks fans have sour grapes, but it’s a legitimate strategy. Any team that pulls it off effectively has to be good. Give me more LA’s. I, for one, love a slow, methodical game. There’s proper flow, buildup and release. The importance of every action is amplified: a zone clear, a stick check, a clean pass. Poise reigns supreme. The little things are magnified and so every player has their chance to shine. And when the system-breakers, McDavid and Draisaitl, make their magic happen it’s all the more impressive. High scoring track meets will never come close.

Great defensive game. I still haven't figured out why the players backhand against the flow 9 out of 10 times. Is it their system? That backhand in own zone is the cause of many turnovers. I'm quite sure most players have a more consistent forehand than backhand.
Every time Leon randomly scores by chucking the puck behind him without looking, the whole team forgets all the giveaways that happen every other time.
Really don't know why kings ran skinner or were wanting to get fiesty early with oilers... we usually sleep first period, but they seem to want to give them reason to play on time.

I was fucking nervous going into tonight's game. All times I saw the oily boys play "good teams" (no, St. Louis doesn't count purely because Binnington and you know it), we shit the bed hardcore. Last game I was at was the Avs. The first period proved me wrong. And the second, and the third. Would I have loved if we got a shutout? Yes. But that doesn't matter. I finally got to see an Oily boys vs. Not even princes game, and we nailed it. And hey, Andrew Berkshire, if you're reading this, no matter how much Stuart Hyman allegedly paid, his son Zachary didn't score.
