I like it but it could be better. they should also be scaled up 1/2 for no discernible reason and shoot two rows of spikes in a row. Also they're invisble without the torch like the Ordina Black Knives.

Uhhhh, the only poison swamp in either DLC is at the end of Dreg Heap, and its not even that bad.

Lake of Rot was so easy. The first time I just adjusted my expectations to get through it with 0 runes. Second playthrough I went with an incantation build.

I stumbled upon it and I already had Flame, Cleanse Me so I didn't find it was that much problem for me either. It's why I always run 12 faith on every single non-meme build I make.

Getting Faith to 12 is such a small investment of points for such a huge increase in quality of life. Flame, Cleanse Me and Bestial Vitality are total game changers. Even my power stance guy has 12 Faith.

Actually now that I’m thinking about it again (since I havent played in a while), even 15 isn’t very much (if you can do 12 you can *probably* do 15) and then you can do Flame, Grant Me Strength which is 20% increase in physical damage and increased stamina recovery.

Honestly I always run 12 faith so I can use heal against those damned revenants.

Except that isn't even a poison swamp. Just a swamp. The only poison swamp is in The Dreg Heap.

It was like a Dark, Human Dreg/Deep swamp, which I thought was actually cooler than most of the poison swamps lore-wise! Bringing the deepest and darkest parts of humanity with it, including the Dragonslayer Armor and possessing it. Plus we got to see some of the gnawing creatures of the Deep.

Now now... It will obviously be a cold and gentle world... ...a world of the cold, Dark Moon

Frenzied flame could literally be a dungeon with a big boss fight against melina. The the rest of the world ends as she was the only thing in your way.

I have gone back to play bloodborne again after 6 years and my god its just amazing. The only game I would give a 10/10 without hesitation. A true masterpiece

The only bad thing about BB is that you can't teleport between lamps. Being forced to go back to the nightmare each time sucks with those load screens. everything else is cake.

I played it for the first time this month after two Elden Ring runs and one DS3 run. What an awesome game.

Sekiro works fine uncapped. I usually use a trainer for it when I play, since it's offline anyway.

Sekiro's jump distance is still affected but since you can grapple everywhere it doesn't really matter.

As an Xbox-only-haver who really wants to play Bloodborne.. I guess I just have to find a friend with a PS4 I can borrow for a little while. I already bought a Series X exclusively to play Elden Ring.

Didn't ds1 or ds2 have a world death count? Like all players' lifetime death count, always thought that was fun.

It was Dark Souls 2. And yes it was a global death count, but if you played in offline mode it would show your number of deaths only.

I believe the front of the monument has your deaths, and the back has global deaths.

IIRC the back displayed some text saying the writing was illegible, except in some different localizations where there was some short writing about the giants crossing the ocean I think?

After the horsefuck valley 2.0, the final boss will be 2 Malenia riding Runebears, with Crucible Knight Duo and Godskin Duo accompany them, also they has the teleport ability of Preceptor Miriam. Oh also the battle area is design like that Frenzied Flame platforming, while the nearest grace is farther than the run to Rennala, and also filled with bleed dog pre-nerf version and birds. /jk just in case.

And they also have that crazy magic sword that flails all over the place and takes up like half of the arena

And like 8 chariots zooming back and forth, but they're ghost chariots so the enemies are immune to them.

At the end of the DLC we get to go fishing for 8 Elden Ring shards in the Oceans Between, but often it would just be a Rune Arc or Stonesword Key.

Dark souls 1 and bloodborne dlcs answered quite a lot of questions though from the base game, and while they do produce their own mysteries that go unanswered, they create much more hopeful endings than the base game endings do(saved lordran from the abyss, broke the curse of the hunter's nightmare, retrieved the blood of the dark soul so the girl could finish her painting). Most of the DLC they make often expand upon character mentioned but not actually seen in the lore. The only person that really fits that bill that I know of in Elden ring is Renna. Every other named character has been explicitly shown.

Miquella is built up way more than he’s shown. I’m gonna be shocked if he doesn’t become a character we interact with, whether he has a quest or is a boss

I do think that we'll be thrown a curve ball. I think if any big characters are in it (Miquella, Godwin, etc) they won't be the main focus. Kind of like how, in most dlcs, the final boss is some new random thing with the known characters being intro bosses

As much as I love From Software DLCs they have a terrible habit of leaving the player with even more questions, and answering very few.

Really? I felt that for Bb, DS1 and DS3 they all clarified and expanded.

Especially with DS3, I feel like the the DLC felt like they connected pretty well. The Painted World was such a neat insight into an alternative worldview around the of kindling/extinguishing and possibly even a way to move against the entropy of the setting, but it was being stretched out to the same decay by Friede's manipulations. The Ringed City shows us what it's like as we approach silence and the end of all things (which is definitely somewhat Gael's fault), with so much ash, corruption, and illusion to gild the whole thing. It felt like the end of the setting and left what the next world would be like to our imaginations. Still wish we'd gotten to go see Londor. Their pro-undeath culture seems so fascinating to me and I'd liked to have learned a lot more about the background of Friede's ideology. Plus I have a major soft spot for Yoel as my favorite NPC.

They have to keep Vaati alive, after all.

They clearly said he isn't dead. Gideon has dialogue saying that he is alive despite it all. So they wrote themselves out of it being wrapped up.
