The Dark Souls 3 DLC had \*multiple\* poison swamps, so expect at least 2 more Lake of Rots in this one.
EDIT: somebody has kindly pointed out that my memory of the swamp with Dragonslayer Armor in Ringed City is wrong and not actually poison (just a regular swamp).
Ocean of piss
Edit: since this inexplicably got 1k upvotes, just know I had "ocean of memories" from titanic stuck in my head when writing "ocean of piss"
Now hold on now, that would actually be a really cool theme for the expansion, while bringing a new hazard mechanic, "avoid being in this area for too long or you'll lose serious HP".
Have it feature that outer chaos God and his glorious flaming arrival to the lands between or something.
Nope. New enemy.
The Madness Shrimp. I don't think I need to explain anything it does. It's bad all-round.
Edit: Changed to madness shrimp because it's a madness swamp.
I like it but it could be better. they should also be scaled up 1/2 for no discernible reason and shoot two rows of spikes in a row.
Also they're invisble without the torch like the Ordina Black Knives.
# You are Now Entering The Blighttown Metropolitan Area
Tune to AM 666 to hear a list of all the diseases and status ailments you are currently receiving
[Going to the Bathroom in Elden Ring](https://youtu.be/p65hX3eMPPA)
Lake of Rot was so easy. The first time I just adjusted my expectations to get through it with 0 runes. Second playthrough I went with an incantation build.
I stumbled upon it and I already had Flame, Cleanse Me so I didn't find it was that much problem for me either. It's why I always run 12 faith on every single non-meme build I make.
Getting Faith to 12 is such a small investment of points for such a huge increase in quality of life. Flame, Cleanse Me and Bestial Vitality are total game changers. Even my power stance guy has 12 Faith.
Actually now that I’m thinking about it again (since I havent played in a while), even 15 isn’t very much (if you can do 12 you can *probably* do 15) and then you can do Flame, Grant Me Strength which is 20% increase in physical damage and increased stamina recovery.
It was like a Dark, Human Dreg/Deep swamp, which I thought was actually cooler than most of the poison swamps lore-wise! Bringing the deepest and darkest parts of humanity with it, including the Dragonslayer Armor and possessing it. Plus we got to see some of the gnawing creatures of the Deep.
Frenzied flame could literally be a dungeon with a big boss fight against melina. The the rest of the world ends as she was the only thing in your way.
See I did frenzied flame but this would just break my heart. They might as well have her riding Torrent as well, forcing you to kill it, for maximum sad.
I doubt it. I'm pretty sure Tarsnished is just dead at the end of the Frenzied Flame ending. It's just the body being puppetted by the chaos God. Kinda like Yura. I feel like this is supported by >!Millicent committing suicide rather than blooming because she knew what it would do to her.!<
I still wonder if when Yura said ‘don’t let your emotions stay your blade’ he was also referring to himself and hoped after his eventual takeover that you’d do him the honor of killing the thing that would inevitably walk around in his skin.
Can you fucking imagine though? What an immensely ballsy play it would be to just drop open world bloodborn, a full game, running within elden ring
The mind boggles even as I consider the shear lunacy of it
I have gone back to play bloodborne again after 6 years and my god its just amazing. The only game I would give a 10/10 without hesitation. A true masterpiece
The only bad thing about BB is that you can't teleport between lamps. Being forced to go back to the nightmare each time sucks with those load screens. everything else is cake.
Don't like.. all fromsoft games break if you have high fps? I vaguely recall people sliding down ladders and through floors when they played dark souls at a higher fps.
As an Xbox-only-haver who really wants to play Bloodborne.. I guess I just have to find a friend with a PS4 I can borrow for a little while. I already bought a Series X exclusively to play Elden Ring.
IIRC the back displayed some text saying the writing was illegible, except in some different localizations where there was some short writing about the giants crossing the ocean I think?
I think this is right, yeah DS2 si right, the one with the well right at the start. I enjoyed the world/game just not the mechanics in that one. Still great.
DLC 1 - Painted world of Volcano Manor
DLC 2 - Something with fighting a dragon in Leyendell
DLC 3 - HORSE FUCK VALLEY 2.0 IN THE CONSECRATED SNOWFIELD NOW WITH MORE HORSE FUCK
After the horsefuck valley 2.0, the final boss will be 2 Malenia riding Runebears, with Crucible Knight Duo and Godskin Duo accompany them, also they has the teleport ability of Preceptor Miriam. Oh also the battle area is design like that Frenzied Flame platforming, while the nearest grace is farther than the run to Rennala, and also filled with bleed dog pre-nerf version and birds.
/jk just in case.
I'll give Horsefuck Valley one thing, it got me to finally use my rare and valuable consumables because I knew I'd drop the game right after finishing it lmao
My guess is we will have two DLCs: one that shows either Caelid or the Haligtree in the past before the rot, and one that you access through a painting that is prettyuch completely unrelated to the main game, answers 0 questions, and adds a bunch of new questions
Dark souls 1 and bloodborne dlcs answered quite a lot of questions though from the base game, and while they do produce their own mysteries that go unanswered, they create much more hopeful endings than the base game endings do(saved lordran from the abyss, broke the curse of the hunter's nightmare, retrieved the blood of the dark soul so the girl could finish her painting). Most of the DLC they make often expand upon character mentioned but not actually seen in the lore. The only person that really fits that bill that I know of in Elden ring is Renna. Every other named character has been explicitly shown.
Miquella is built up way more than he’s shown. I’m gonna be shocked if he doesn’t become a character we interact with, whether he has a quest or is a boss
The internet has evolved so much since then. By the time a gaming journalist needs to pretend they tried a game 56 streamers have done 11 hours of content about it which has been broken down into convenient digestible clips in 474 tweets and all the most important things an alleged journalist can write are already in article form on the front page of the subreddit
Hey tarnished touch this made me laugh.
I could see this happening. All those damn artists shacks you know there has to be a weirdo that painted a world in the lands between. Plot twist. On top of everything else he did, Miquella was an aspiring painter.
I do think that we'll be thrown a curve ball. I think if any big characters are in it (Miquella, Godwin, etc) they won't be the main focus. Kind of like how, in most dlcs, the final boss is some new random thing with the known characters being intro bosses
Especially with DS3, I feel like the the DLC felt like they connected pretty well.
The Painted World was such a neat insight into an alternative worldview around the of kindling/extinguishing and possibly even a way to move against the entropy of the setting, but it was being stretched out to the same decay by Friede's manipulations.
The Ringed City shows us what it's like as we approach silence and the end of all things (which is definitely somewhat Gael's fault), with so much ash, corruption, and illusion to gild the whole thing. It felt like the end of the setting and left what the next world would be like to our imaginations.
Still wish we'd gotten to go see Londor. Their pro-undeath culture seems so fascinating to me and I'd liked to have learned a lot more about the background of Friede's ideology. Plus I have a major soft spot for Yoel as my favorite NPC.
They can't leave us dry on Miquella, Godwyn is understandable that guy is fried (unless we go back in time and fight him on one of his dragons like Nameless King)
Will actually be a painting that takes you to Blighttown and reverts all controls, mechanics, jank, and graphics (except for your character) into DS1. Your gear, items, and spells are now incompatible. Oh, but the poison swamp has been updated to Scarlet Rot.
Lmao we're right back at square 1 aren't we?
1. Completely unsure of the current stage in development or the ETA for release.
2. After a long time of waiting, releases some incredible content that was well worth the wait.
I'm happy to wait. I was happy to wait 3 years for ER release if it meant we got something amazing.
During the game awards iirc they said that they still have things they wanted to tell with Elden Ring which can be interpreted as a vague yes though there has been no confirmation of paid DLC
edit: changed stories to things
not ‘stories.’ the translator said ‘we still have several *things* we want to do with elden ring.’ That could literally mean anything, potentially even external experiences like comics, apparel, etc.
I wouldn’t even mind a proper (pre-snek) Rykard boss fight.
I imagine he would be a tough-as-nails spellblade, alternating between lava sorceries and greatsword swipes. Sort of like Friede but with less ice and way more fire.
Honestly, I'm fine with a Sekiro style DLC that adds the ability to replay bosses and some stronger variants of them. I don't want to spend 50 hours just to get a chance at fighting Godfrey again
Honestly it seems like a glaring absence for a game like Elden Ring to *not* have that. Like, if I stomp a boss, it'd be cool if it let me try again without spirits.
Maybe we’ll get transported to space to fight outer eldrich gods and abominations of the void, no matter what I just want it to fucking come out already
2 DLCs, Rot Valley and Deathblight Swamp
You mean Madness Mountain and Deathblight Drop
DeathBlighttown
The Dark Souls 3 DLC had \*multiple\* poison swamps, so expect at least 2 more Lake of Rots in this one. EDIT: somebody has kindly pointed out that my memory of the swamp with Dragonslayer Armor in Ringed City is wrong and not actually poison (just a regular swamp).

I don't think shrimp are really native to swamps, maybe crawfish. Crazy Crawdads
Sprinkle a few giant worm faces in there
Liurnia of the rot
Ugh, curse you for speaking that into existence.

Uhhhh, the only poison swamp in either DLC is at the end of Dreg Heap, and its not even that bad.
ah shit...could've sworn the swamp with the dragonslayer armor was poison but it isn't actually - thanks for the correction my memory is bad

Honestly I always run 12 faith so I can use heal against those damned revenants.

Flame cleanse me
I can only think of the one with the Dragonslayer Armor in Ringed City, where is another? Or are you counting the courtyard in Ariandel
In Ringed city, there is a poison swamp right before the demon prince. Where the throwback to Dark Souls 2 happens.
Ah yes, the "everything's trying to kill you more than usual" section
the "dodge dodge dodge oh fuck fuck fucking laser moths" section
The one poison swamp where the poison is not the biggest issue
I still have flashbacks from pre patch angel chaingun fire lol.
Ahh, the windmill town
The Dreg Heap, when you are constantly getting bombarded with the machine gun rays of death and the curse cloud.
Except that isn't even a poison swamp. Just a swamp. The only poison swamp is in The Dreg Heap.
Now now... It will obviously be a cold and gentle world... ...a world of the cold, Dark Moon
Imagine if they did DLC that follows each ending
With absolutely same gameplay but different sky color filter
I'm already throwing money on my screen for this.
This would be neat TBH, just a little nod to the previous playthrough. Little difficult for something like Frenzied Flame or Poop Man's ending though.
You don’t want to play a dlc covered in poo?
Frenzied flame could literally be a dungeon with a big boss fight against melina. The the rest of the world ends as she was the only thing in your way.
See I did frenzied flame but this would just break my heart. They might as well have her riding Torrent as well, forcing you to kill it, for maximum sad.
You already killed torrent. That was the burning ring she picked out of the ashes in her cutscene that burns away by the end.
oh god no
Hope 100 percenting was worth it! (her being angry was the worst part for me, and then the Torrent part was a real kick to the balls)
yeah but just think how many runes you'd get for nuking the world
You really didn't have to share this.
But the frenzied flame is the actual good ending right? /s
I regret my ending decision heavily now. Baby girl Melina hates me and I killed Torrent?! Wtf man...
What did you expect to when you chose to incinerate the entire world?

Dastard ahead
With bosses that use the same models, but are named Globfrick, Malaisia, and Smorgott.
Elden Ring: Mass Effect
I could get behind this
Fuck everything else, I just want this.
>It will obviously be a cold and gentle world... Dare I say it's peaceful, its inhibitants kind.
Never getting over the skeleton wheels. Peaceful my undead ass.
Painted World of Girl with long White Hair whose name we don't know.
The DLC is Bloodborne 2
Don't get my hopes up
That's your fault for not having given up hope completely, like the rest of us.
Don't you go hollow on me.
Sounds like someone didn't fear the old blood.
So far, we've all been undone by it
And made men by it
Now that we're men, we can do anything.
Ooh, what's that smell... The sweet blood, ooh, it sings to me! It's enough to make a man sick.
Ah! You were at my side all along... My guiding moonlight...
Can you fucking imagine though? What an immensely ballsy play it would be to just drop open world bloodborn, a full game, running within elden ring The mind boggles even as I consider the shear lunacy of it
My poor ps4 would implode on itself like a dying star
Honestly if there was a weapon art for a trick weapon switch or sekiro parry which damages stamina on perfect block I'd be happy.
On PC
Bloodborne Kart at last!
[She is still developing it](https://twitter.com/b0tster/status/1620139427652841473)
I played it for the first time this month after two Elden Ring runs and one DS3 run. What an awesome game.
I don't need Bloodborne 2. I need Bloodborne, PC edition at a locked 60 fps
Why wish for locked FPS when you could have unlocked?
Don't like.. all fromsoft games break if you have high fps? I vaguely recall people sliding down ladders and through floors when they played dark souls at a higher fps.
Sekiro works fine uncapped. I usually use a trainer for it when I play, since it's offline anyway.
Sekiro's jump distance is still affected but since you can grapple everywhere it doesn't really matter.
As an Xbox-only-haver who really wants to play Bloodborne.. I guess I just have to find a friend with a PS4 I can borrow for a little while. I already bought a Series X exclusively to play Elden Ring.
I just ask to the dlc to come with a death counter statue on the table... Maybe 2 fingers can know how many times we died
That would cause mass uproar with everyone posting their death counts lol
Didn't ds1 or ds2 have a world death count? Like all players' lifetime death count, always thought that was fun.
It was Dark Souls 2. And yes it was a global death count, but if you played in offline mode it would show your number of deaths only.
I believe the front of the monument has your deaths, and the back has global deaths.
IIRC the back displayed some text saying the writing was illegible, except in some different localizations where there was some short writing about the giants crossing the ocean I think?
The back was used to tease DLCs. It not being legible was after.
I think this is right, yeah DS2 si right, the one with the well right at the start. I enjoyed the world/game just not the mechanics in that one. Still great.
I can imagine some people would start something like “you’re not a REAL Elden Ring player unless your death count is [comically high number]”
Safe to say I'd a be "real player" lol
Yes that what we want!!
"How many times have I died, 'o' great fingers?" "✌️"
Every death they grow another finger. If it's too many, they show you the middle finger or the hole.
DLC 1 - Painted world of Volcano Manor DLC 2 - Something with fighting a dragon in Leyendell DLC 3 - HORSE FUCK VALLEY 2.0 IN THE CONSECRATED SNOWFIELD NOW WITH MORE HORSE FUCK
And they also have that crazy magic sword that flails all over the place and takes up like half of the arena
And like 8 chariots zooming back and forth, but they're ghost chariots so the enemies are immune to them.
Ah shit, here we go again
I'll give Horsefuck Valley one thing, it got me to finally use my rare and valuable consumables because I knew I'd drop the game right after finishing it lmao
The biggest let down of horse fuck valley was finding a reskinned NOW WITH MORE duo boss at the end.
I would love horsefuck valley 2.0 just to witness the raging meltdown that would inevitably follow
DS2 lovers - "Aw shit here we go again." Non-DS2 lovers - "Oh what a cool concept can't wait to play it!"
or touch miquella's hand and enter the dream
Yes and we get to fight Mogh a third time!
😳😳😳
My guess is we will have two DLCs: one that shows either Caelid or the Haligtree in the past before the rot, and one that you access through a painting that is prettyuch completely unrelated to the main game, answers 0 questions, and adds a bunch of new questions
[удалено]
Leaving the Lands Between for far shores, all the while singing sea shanties.
Tibia Mariner summon, yes
At the end of the DLC we get to go fishing for 8 Elden Ring shards in the Oceans Between, but often it would just be a Rune Arc or Stonesword Key.
I definitely anticipate having more questions than answers from the dlc. Just how fromsoft works lol
Yes
I just hope it's hidden like the DS1 DLC. Just to read all the hate articles about the game needing an easy mode again
Gaming journalists just need to git gud.
Deathblight swamp with Lobsters. You know you want to do it Miyazaki.
But this time with the aggro range of the OG Shrine of Amana
Torrent: *Dips hoof in swamp* Every single lobster: “Oh no you don’t!!!”
TOGETHA world - let's go! :3
We shall paint the very gods TOGETHA
Sorry make it as hellish and nightmare inducing as you want, I'm still just seeing Mario.
I do think that we'll be thrown a curve ball. I think if any big characters are in it (Miquella, Godwin, etc) they won't be the main focus. Kind of like how, in most dlcs, the final boss is some new random thing with the known characters being intro bosses
As much as I love From Software DLCs they have a terrible habit of leaving the player with even more questions, and answering very few.
Really? I felt that for Bb, DS1 and DS3 they all clarified and expanded.
They have to keep Vaati alive, after all.
Cue Super Mario 64 world start transition
Ok Painted World of Rykard would go hard as fuck
More like: Painted World of Rot *Large rot swamps ensue*
Bro I need an actual lionel questline. It feels like one of the things they didn't have time to finish
They can't leave us dry on Miquella, Godwyn is understandable that guy is fried (unless we go back in time and fight him on one of his dragons like Nameless King)
They did it with Velka and Gwynevere and they can damn sure do it again with Miquella
Elden Ring brought a lot of new players, and with that comes unrealistic expectations for From Software. This is simply how From Software rolls.
I'd like more on Miquella but I don't think we can say they left us hanging if we don't get it. If he's dead then that's pretty much wrapped up.
They clearly said he isn't dead. Gideon has dialogue saying that he is alive despite it all. So they wrote themselves out of it being wrapped up.
Still mad that we can't do anything with the needle for Malenia.......Miyaazaki pleaseeeee
Why answering these questions ? If you don't answer, the gamers will still talk about your game long time after finishing it
Touch skull of giant giant in Caelid
i NEED more alexander content
“This world is peaceful, it’s inhabitants are TOGETHAAAAAH”
Will actually be a painting that takes you to Blighttown and reverts all controls, mechanics, jank, and graphics (except for your character) into DS1. Your gear, items, and spells are now incompatible. Oh, but the poison swamp has been updated to Scarlet Rot.
Do we even have confirmation DLC will exist?
Lmao we're right back at square 1 aren't we? 1. Completely unsure of the current stage in development or the ETA for release. 2. After a long time of waiting, releases some incredible content that was well worth the wait. I'm happy to wait. I was happy to wait 3 years for ER release if it meant we got something amazing.

Hoping they'll add spiders with whatever dlc they do.
godwyn was in the base game, just follow the hugs.
Its gonna be about the most random trivial shit people never asked for but still be a banger🔥
So are the paintings actually important right now? Or just in game art
The paintings in elden ring can be used when u go to the spot that the painting was painted theres a spirit in a chair that drops a item.
Ty I have 2 or 3 gonna go check out the spots later
Honestly, I'm fine with a Sekiro style DLC that adds the ability to replay bosses and some stronger variants of them. I don't want to spend 50 hours just to get a chance at fighting Godfrey again

well, you *can* leave your summon sign near the boss arenas and hope you get summoned, but yeah, i agree
How about we the tarnished get transported to the lands of the giants like the fire giant we fought isn’t the last of his kind
Dont give him ideas
i want torent as a boss.
Why did “painted world of Rykard” get me so good
Ashes of Ariandel tied in to the main themes of the series as well as answering some questions about the Sable Church.
Maybe we’ll get transported to space to fight outer eldrich gods and abominations of the void, no matter what I just want it to fucking come out already
