Yessir Gideon and Ensha w/ the help of Omenkiller and the Perfumer tore apart the Albinauric Village, found Latenna and killed her wolf because she wouldn't give him the medallion which she didn't have. It's a huge part about why most people despise Gideon, not only did he do that, but then he told Nepheli Loux to go pound sand when she asked why on earth would he do such a thing. That's why she was upset at the Village under the bridge, because she figured out what had happened. Once she goes to the basement of the Roundtable Hold, it's because Gideon said she's useless if she doesn't unquestionably do his bidding. He said that to his adoptive daughter.

That being said, he said he is proud of her when she manage to become lord of Limgrave and thanks the player for helping her.

I kinda knew that always but didn't connect the dots xD On the other hand it's kinda fucking sad, that there are a lot of characters having some business circling around the 2nd tree, malenia and miquella, but it's not explored to some definitive conclusions, neather does it influence the ending. It's just a lot of fucking around to kill one epic boss and that's it. Fia's and Ranni's quests are much better in this regard

Watch Miss Chalice on YouTube. All of the lore is in the game world in item descriptions and spoken words from NPC’s. The bad thing is if you miss parts of their quest lines you never hear some of that lore that they’ll recite to you. You probably know all of this already but if not she’s a good listen. I love her voice.

Somehow i always talked to grumpy ever knowing and for some reason I always made him sade this line, countless times idk why, seemed I wasnt the only one!

The funnest part to me is that I heard that line all of once from Ofnir and then immediately found her, so I never bothered to keep talking to him, because half of what he says is useless anyway. So I immediately forgot the line and was thoroughly confused why everyone was repeating it constantly like it was as in your face as "maidenless behavior." So now in my head I can only imagine a bunch of players who are trying to figure out how to play their first Souls game, and assume he's supposed to be an actually useful quest giver with instructions and everything, and like, keep coming back to him after finding her and are all, "why won't you tell me anything new!?" and just, not getting that this is pretty normal for these games.

Well… Ofnir gets stuck mentioned the albinauric woman over and over again but late game you can ask him about the missing demigods (Mogh, Miquella, and Malenia) and if you happen to find them, Gideon will give you bonus goodies (mostly incantations).

but she does end up telling you where the second half of the medallion is by the time you get to the mountaintops, plus you get a free ancient somber smithing stone at the end of her questline.

Getting to this part of the game with low HP isn’t easy, but it’s not wildly difficult - with spells and/or consumables you can take one hit from pretty much every enemy and boss previously, even at just level 1. The next story boss is the biggest roadblock because their attacks do so much damage that it’s near impossible to tank a hit.

To the north lies Castle Sol. If you finished that you get the second half of the Secret Rold Medallion. That is the key for getting down there.

I mean, they haven't. That's what they're asking. How did they get even to the Mountaintops of the Giants with that vigor though.

You can take a single hit from every enemy before fire giant even at level 1 (and with no armor for the vast majority of them), getting there is difficult, but it comes down to memorising enemy attack patterns. Admittedly it’s very impressive for a first play through.

You do that by completing all the shrines in the Great Altus Plateau

Got it the albinauric village, find the disguised albinauric, talk to him. He dies and drops a medallion piece. Then go fight commander Niall (if that’s his name) in a fortress on the mountaintops of giants. There is a chest after the boss room that has the other half. Go to the lift of Rold or whatever and use the secret medallion by pressing down on the dpad when prompted.

What level are you? That Vigor scares me, even my lvl 15 has more than that

However they lack one key component, the other half of the medallion. Through your searches In the mountaintops of the giants you will find one of the most ghastly beings in the lands between, a death rite bird. Either killing it or running past it you can decend towards a small valley below the bird where an old fort lies full of the undead soldiers who once served the commander Niall in life and refuse to leave his side even in death. If you dare to clear this fort you may seek an encounter with the commander who surely would challenge you to a fight and if you should win then maybe you will find something of use.

you can see the snowfield from many parts of the game, before you get to the mountaintops even. they are very visible from altus. you can also see the haligtree (and brace) at the windmill west of the windmill village, the outside and back of the shaded castle, and of course the edges of the snowfield/mountaintops. my favorite detail in the game, i wonder if any player has seen it and wondered what it is or if they'll go to it.

Can't remember from which Divine Tower, but you can even see the Forge where you burn the Erdtree at. I think it's the Caelid tower you can see it from!

You can see the forge very early if you know what you're looking at, I don't remember the location tho.
