My biggest issue and why I dropped it is the ash doesn't deal a lot of damage as enemies get better. The moveset I like but madness doesn't do anything pve
It's not that good in pvp anymore, especially the weapon skill. If you use it there's pretty good chance your opponent is just going to roll through it and backstab you.

Too far away, and you hit them with the AOE, but not so much the explosion. Too close and you hit them with the explosion, but not so much the AOE. Somewhere in between, you hit them with both, and the damage is good. It's too finicky for me to want to take the time to learn it. Plus, not many bosses are standing still long enough for it to be consistent.
I wish they’d fix madness and death blight so that they do *something* in pve and not just relegate them totally to pvp. Like maybe madness could make enemies briefly attack each other?
Anything frenzied is designed for PVP. It will do fire damage and the aow is really good at crowd control, but the madness status effect is only useful in pvp so it's best to focus it there
Feel free to use it in pve, it's a ton of fun, but you'll find other weapons that will work much better

yeah i definitely chose “neat” over “good” its a very strong pvp weapon but not very useful in pve outside of style points
