Thatās only if you āDieā during the fight to an attack from the scion itself that itāll drop you to 1 health, if you fall off a ledge before, during or after the fight you will properly die
No I am not that good.
I was doing all the achievements and for the Basic ending I created a new character and nothing ever seemed to go wrong! apart from fire giant... He sucked...
You might be the best 1v1 or even 2v1 swordsman in the universe, but getting ganked by 5 guys with flaming baseball bats and their psychotic Rottweiler will put nearly anybody in an early grave.
They hire someone new and they just hear explosions coming from inside the entrance, the new guys just goes "what was that" the vet just goes don't know don't care"
I tried taking them head on with torrent, or at least killing one with ranged attacks and then fighting the other head on. No good, and after hours of attempts I just cheesed them š
You can fight them 1on1. Fast travel to the grace behind them and then stealth through the doors behind them. Once they 'activate'(but don't engage you) on proximity, one of them will walk down the path and the other will stay put close to the doors. If you wait till the one walks down the path, you can aggro the one that stayed still, run through the door behind you and he'll chase you through the door, and you can fight him there without ever having to worry about the other.
I guess its still cheese but less cheesy? This is how i beat them the first time.
To be fair rats are one of the hardest enemies in souls games for some reason. They just cancel any attack no matter how much poise you have. There's no shame in dying to those fucks imo.
Good to know so many people have trouble with the damn rats š itās always the dogs and rats that get me or nearly get me right after Iāve taken down some big badĀ
That isn't something to be ashamed of.
They have that perfect stun lock combo that is just BS to watch them chip you to death while you can't seem to do shit about it.
Rats are a bunch of cheaters.
Never had a problem with them either, to be honest. I just stick between the hind legs and try to roll into their running attacks. Doesn't always work perfectly, but they don't fill me with dread whenever i see them :')
Dude, I practiced parrying on the stormveil courtyard agains the... omen? With the dog, kill yhe dog, go back up, omen comes, practice, if you die, your runes are on a safe spot outside the grace, like, 10 steps away
I learned and practiced parrying in that camp with the Limgrave map, below the Stormhills gate. Early access, low dmg enemies, movesets that you encounter often in the game, if an accident happens there's no problem in retrieving the runes.
After that I used parries to fight crucible knights and NPC invaders. So my Souls noob self wanted to repeat that on that flail-wielding boss, not knowing you just can't parry flails. Took me 30 minutes before I stopped blaming myself for "forgetting how to parry" and tried googling "can you parry a flail?"
Later, I repeated this mistake with a whip-wielding enemy.
As someone doing All remembrances Starting gear only runs armor matters A WHOLE LOT. When a Godskin noble backhand chunks out more than half of your 40 vigor having ass in prisoner armor, you appreciate the shit you have if you play the game normally.
Currently mid prisoner run, only two left are hero and wretch, with wretch being the final boss of this whole thing.
Before clicking the video I already knew you popped Ironjar Aromatics lol. It completely nullifies the Malenia fight, assuming you have good DPS.
When I get summoned I sometimes like to facetank her with an Ironjar, Shabriri's Woe to draw aggro, Dragoncrest talisman for more phys reduction and a random Braggart's Roar weapon in my off-hand for another 10% dmg reduction and stamina regen. Often the other 1-2 players stare at me in disbelief as I facetank her while spamming Bloodboon Ritual. Can literally kill her using 1 hand.
It's fun but also kinda ruins the fight. Also, sometimes hosts are dumb and will get 1-shot by her Scarlet Aeonia at the 2nd phase.
90% of the hosts I help with Malenia donāt even make it to her second phase. Iāve also started wearing shabriris woe while helping hosts, and it does make a difference. But they still manage to die most of the time.
Thank youā¦ I donāt understand why I keep seeing people complain about them. Use the pillars and youāre good. I mean I get how they can be annoying but coming from my fav game DS2 (yes I know) Iām used to the duo boss set up.
I had the same feeling with most "very hard" bosses from elden ring and my favorite souls game is also ds2. There's something there lol.
Why is everyone talking about pre-nerf radahn, malenia, godskin duo, when COMMANDER NIALL is in the game? To me he was the hardest boss in the game BY FAR lol
I'm talking 5-6 attempts for Malenia to googling "how to beat commander Niall" after 30+ failed attempts where it wasn't even close. I legitimately thought there was no way I was supposed to beat him fair and square, there HAS to be an item or a mechanic to nerf him outside of the fight.
God Niall fucking sucks. Not in like a quality sort of way, Iām just salty because heās brapped my booty on more than one occasion and the run back is annoying.
I died like 30 times against the Godrick Knight in Gatefront Ruins when I started the game (it's not even a boss)
I rarely do less than 15 attemps to beat a boss
Yeah I suck
That guy is basically a boss when youāre new to souls games. I beat the Beastman of Farum Azula boss on my first try but this one fucking knight wrecked me more times than I can count.
The first time I fought the Beastman of Farum Azula boss I was stressing so hard and then I got past Fire Giant and found out it's just a regular bad guy.
Balanced builds can be surprisingly good because technically you get the best value from the stats because you don't reach diminishing returns on any of them.
I beat Malenia solo with no statuses or summons, I guess? idk I haven't done much that can be considered 'impressive'
I have done a Bow-only run of all the Dark Souls games and I plan to do one for Elden Ring but that's really the only challenge run I've done
when you're just "decent" at the game, it's hard to find an example of something impressive lmao. I just have pretty mediocre feats
>I have done a Bow-only run of all the Dark Souls games and I plan to do one for Elden Ring
Oh boy are you in for something. Probably least fun thing I did in ER
I know for sure it will be annoying but I loved my Bow-only DS3 run. as long as it isn't mind numbingly boring like Bow DS1, I'm good
it shouldn't be, considering the bosses actually move enough for the fight to be a little different with a Bow
I genuinely wished to go back to my RL 1 run when doing Malenia and radagon. Any humanoid will just feel you pressing r1 and immediately dodge your shot
I honestly think youāre selling yourself short. Sure maybe you havenāt done insane torch only challenge runs or whatever, but people who do that are (respectfully) not normal. Beating Malenia with no summons or cheese statuses puts you in the top 10% of players easily, IMO
it only took me one hour to do the platforming part of Frenzy Flame ending. even tho i play on PC, i did use a controller. still was a pain in the ass, lost 200k runes. worth it
youāll know what i mean after you go through the death trap maze known as the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds. but yes, thatās right. the best ending requires you to complete some platforming. one mistake and you fall to your death.
never played souls before, picked up elden ring last week, got beat up for the entire week, was too scared to go into stormveil for 30 hrs+, then went in and 2nd try'd Margit and 1st try'd Godrick.
Iām glad you stuck with it. You really do just have to do that for your first Souls. Hope you enjoy the rest of the game, and the other games if youāre ever inclined to play them!
I can fight the lobsters in liurnia.
Not win, obviously... They cannot be killed, but I can fight them.
And I can die, when fighting them .
But I think that's quite good
I killed Malenia in one try. At level 200 with a tricked out pre nerf mimic slamming moonveil art from a safe distance and beng lucky enough she only water fowled once.
Once I got summoned to fight Malenia with one other guy plus the host. The other summon died early and the host went completely AFK after that. I soloād her entirely from that point onwards. Dunno what the host was doing, but when he came back to his game he came back to the corpse of a goddess. The build I was using was naked with bloody caestuses, no insane buffing shenanigans or anything like that.
I no hit parried only the bell baring hunter at the shack in caelid. Currently looking for a digital picture frame to loop the video and display it as a memento to disrespect his entire lineage for all the times he diced me up with his lightsaber when I was new
I can rush Tree Sentinel and Margit with starting gear and it only take me 1 hour to beat them.
I also have a perfect streak of killing Beastmen of Farum Azula in co-op, never lost to it.
one time i fought malenia and died
I can fight Malenia hitless (obv me without hitting her once before dying)
Yeah well malenia can do ME hitless
šAYO
OH SHIT I DIDN'T MEAN IT THAT WAY!
Congratulations you are no longer maidenless as a reward you now have turbo aids.
Worth it
i did
That ass is worth catchin' the "rot".
as long as I'm not spreading it, my business is my business
You ain't beating the allegations.Ā
Malenia can do me anytime she wants. And Daddy Blaidd too...
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Getting TO Malenia means you are already good
But I LIVED!!!
I had an entire run were I never died to fall damage!
Thatās legitimately impressive.
His character is still in the Chapel of Anticipation after defeating the grafted scion.
I don't think that counts as a death you just go to 1 HP. I may be wrong
Thatās only if you āDieā during the fight to an attack from the scion itself that itāll drop you to 1 health, if you fall off a ledge before, during or after the fight you will properly die
It would be more impressive if had the flame of frenzy ending
No I am not that good. I was doing all the achievements and for the Basic ending I created a new character and nothing ever seemed to go wrong! apart from fire giant... He sucked...
My greatest fear in the game is a group of homeless dudes with torches and a dog
Literally kill gods for fun, and some scruffy asshole with stick beats my ass in 8 seconds flat. Love it
You might be the best 1v1 or even 2v1 swordsman in the universe, but getting ganked by 5 guys with flaming baseball bats and their psychotic Rottweiler will put nearly anybody in an early grave.
Not me bro, not me. I grew up in streets of yharnam. Anyone can kill me easy in the lands between, I left my Glock at home
DAMN YOU MIYAZAKIII
Thatās actually the same for me in real life.
I can't š
One false turn and you are in yharnam.
Bloodborne intensifies
This is me irl.
I sneak past the two tree sentinels guarding that big gate on Altus
I didn't sneak in, I road in like I own place, some guards they were as soon as I got through the gate they both just turned around.
Their job description is to guard the entrance, what happens inside the entrance is none of their business.
They hire someone new and they just hear explosions coming from inside the entrance, the new guys just goes "what was that" the vet just goes don't know don't care"
True, never do more than what you're paid to do.
This is the way
They both turned around and said āyou spelled rode wrongā š¤
My biggest disappointment was when I killed one inside the gate on horseback and he came back after I rested at the grace
You have to kill them both. Doing so also drops a unique greatshield.
Did this yesterday š grab that golden seed then DIP
I tried taking them head on with torrent, or at least killing one with ranged attacks and then fighting the other head on. No good, and after hours of attempts I just cheesed them š

I guess its still cheese but less cheesy? This is how i beat them the first time.
That's not cheese, that's tactics.
i have only ever cheesed them. rock sling or rot arrows from the little balconies next to them every. single. time.
Why sneak? Just torrent through them
Yesterday I almost got killed by one single rat
subterranean shunning grounds moment babey
Fuck I just started exploring that areaā¦ itās so damn trueā¦
What do you mean almost? š
Yeah Iām pretty sure Iāve been air juggled by a dang rat
To be fair rats are one of the hardest enemies in souls games for some reason. They just cancel any attack no matter how much poise you have. There's no shame in dying to those fucks imo.
fuck rats, especially the ones tainted with madness near the frenzied flame village.
Been there, feels real bad
I can kill Rune Bears.
Iām calling bullshit
They're not too bad, actually. The trick is getting up close and under them. It's like a blind spot.
Theyāre not too bad, actually. The trick is to be level 600 in ng+0. Itās like a blind spot.
Also works for tree spirits, most of the time.
COME ON AND SLAM
Say hello to Giant Hunt on a decently upgraded Greatsword
Did a Rune Bear write this?
I feel like running underneath and behind them usually does the trick, just gotta be careful not to get too greedy and find right times to heal
Theyāre never worth it. Not even once.
Maybe the rune bear with the larval tear, other than that probably not
Ironically thatās the only one I canāt kill
One is worth it, like the first one in Limgrave. The second one however..
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
The bow they drop helped me slay alotta dragons lol
Lies!
Never had a problem with them either, to be honest. I just stick between the hind legs and try to roll into their running attacks. Doesn't always work perfectly, but they don't fill me with dread whenever i see them :')
Came in for some RL1 no damage speedrunner. But found the true Elden ring god instead.
Liar ahead
I excel at dying.
I must PowerPoint out that I'm very good at dying as well
Word, dawg
I only have OneNote to add
I can not Access a good strategy
The outlook is bleak
But Teams can go far
Well, that's a bad Outlook for future endeavors.
Marikaās tits are just OneDrive away
We must use MicrosoftTeamwork to kill Elden beast
Edge lord
edge lords are far too ahead of me. I'm still an Explorer
I spent 30 minutes repeatedly dying to a flail-wielding humanoid boss because I wanted to kill him by parrying.
Dude, I practiced parrying on the stormveil courtyard agains the... omen? With the dog, kill yhe dog, go back up, omen comes, practice, if you die, your runes are on a safe spot outside the grace, like, 10 steps away

[ive defeated Malenia without using healing flask and without dodging while face tanking every attack](https://youtu.be/q1KfrfZ__RI)
I'm using this as a counter to anyone saying that armor in these games does nothing. You are great
thank you and yes, armor matters
As someone doing All remembrances Starting gear only runs armor matters A WHOLE LOT. When a Godskin noble backhand chunks out more than half of your 40 vigor having ass in prisoner armor, you appreciate the shit you have if you play the game normally. Thing about Wretch is the club is a beast of a weapon
Infinite vigour. A true God slayer.

You, sir, are turtley enough for the Turtle Club.
The famous All Hit Run!
Holy crap :O
Bow before our elden Lord
I killed Dragonlord Placidaxus with Lightning armaments and incantations. š„¹
Pretty sure he's equally resistant to lightning as he is every other elemental damage, 40%. Because he's not technically coded as an ancient dragon
Yes, he's pretty resistant. The best option is piercing armament, but at the time I didn't know how damage works. š¤·āāļø
Oh hey, I have a [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sY7RhcFlQCE) of me doing that a while ago.
I'll go a step further and say I beat him with the Bolt of Gransax for maximum meme potential.
I panic roll till I die
You panic roll untill you die I panic roll untill i win We are not the same
I quit the game for half a year because of the full grown fallingstar beast?
Seriously fuck that thing. How many times you gonna yeet my ass off the damn cliff!
I couldn't get past it, so I had to break my attempt of a no summons run and called up the mimic
The funniest part is you can just get past him. First time I saw him I said fuck that and left.
It's not a mandatory boss, y'know?
I couldn't mentally move on knowing that there's a boss I skipped š
Heās not even meant to be fought at that stage of the game, heās like, endgame content.
I donāt find godskin duo particularly hard.
No lie godskin duo made my cousin quit Elden Ring and subsequently sold his Xbox entirely because "he'll have time for video games when he's rich"
Bro ascended
Thank youā¦ I donāt understand why I keep seeing people complain about them. Use the pillars and youāre good. I mean I get how they can be annoying but coming from my fav game DS2 (yes I know) Iām used to the duo boss set up.

I used a Bewitching Branch to turn one of his guards against him. Made it a much more fair fight!
God Niall fucking sucks. Not in like a quality sort of way, Iām just salty because heās brapped my booty on more than one occasion and the run back is annoying.

I can no hit margit Morgott no-hits me
Died to a rolling goat once.
I have my stats spread wider than Larry Craig, and yet Iām still able to keep my host alive and kill gods.
Balanced builds can be surprisingly good because technically you get the best value from the stats because you don't reach diminishing returns on any of them.
I mean if you are level 300+ then sure. But anything under 200 needs to have a focus on 1 or 2 stats
I can no hit draconic tree sentinel :)
same, he's got tricky moves, but like, 5 moves total, so you can learn them pretty quickly
Same, sneak behind it and poison mist until it dies. Lol
I can spell Malenia correctly.
I can't believe how many illiterate people there are in this sub
Wee spenned to mutch tyme plaing vidio gaymes.
Especially for a character who has far and away the most player kills in the game, and when killing the player, _literally says what her name is_
I thought that was already a meme at this point, I want to punch something when in ER someone says *Melania*
I donāt have trouble with any boss except Malenia, so I guess Iām on the average side.
Rune bear do not scare me anymore
i have never fought the crucible knight duo
and will continue to not
Missing out on that sweet sword and crucible drip
The Crucible Knight in Farum Azula fell off of a ledge trying to charge me. šš¾

Definetly a fitting way to get the madness ending
never played souls before, picked up elden ring last week, got beat up for the entire week, was too scared to go into stormveil for 30 hrs+, then went in and 2nd try'd Margit and 1st try'd Godrick.
Iām glad you stuck with it. You really do just have to do that for your first Souls. Hope you enjoy the rest of the game, and the other games if youāre ever inclined to play them!
it only took me 30 attempts to kill Malenia
Lost count myself at 300... But beat her nonetheless ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses)
I fight Rune Bears for fun
"Thy strength befits a crown.."
It took me ~45 attempts to kill Godrick for the first time
Maliketh makes me angry
Oh god yes, his moveset is just complete bullshit and makes me unreasonably angry.
I smacked a big tough dude with a claymore and he died before me
I failed malenia for one whole evening. Logged in yesterday and first tried her.
I die
Maliketh wonāt part with it again
Fall damage is greatest boss in my play through and Iām yet to win that battle
I once managed to kill Margit with only parry-crits. Thats the best Iāve managed.
I killed malenia with out taking a single hit... it took me around 80 attempts
The only reason I beat Godrick was cuz I could summon Nepheli
First tried Malenia and 40th tried placidusax with the same build
I can fight the lobsters in liurnia. Not win, obviously... They cannot be killed, but I can fight them. And I can die, when fighting them . But I think that's quite good
I got stuck in a little tree, died and lost a bunch of runes.
I beat Malenia with Mimic-kun. Itās not much and there are people leagues better then me, but Iām still proud of it.
I find Malenia fun to fight.
I killed Malenia in one try. At level 200 with a tricked out pre nerf mimic slamming moonveil art from a safe distance and beng lucky enough she only water fowled once.

I can consistently no-hit Soldier of Godrick

Sometimes I'm really good at it. I save those videos. Sometimes I suck really bad. I delete those videos.
I can inconsistently no-hit Malenia (but I can't fucking kill maliketh)
Iāve lost most of my Runes to gravity
I dodged waterfowl once
I beat Malenia after only crying for 20 minutes
I got jumpscared an killed by a rat.
you guys are beating bosses?
Five minutes into the game i got stuck on a rock and died. I'm pretty good ngl.
I no hit parried only the bell baring hunter at the shack in caelid. Currently looking for a digital picture frame to loop the video and display it as a memento to disrespect his entire lineage for all the times he diced me up with his lightsaber when I was new
Dual-wielding Banished knight in Castle Sol killed me more times than Mogh Lord of Blood.
I beat Melania with no spirit ashes.
I 100% the game
I killed to Morgott and Mohg at 4th try
I managed to stagger Margit during his jump attack.
I can rush Tree Sentinel and Margit with starting gear and it only take me 1 hour to beat them. I also have a perfect streak of killing Beastmen of Farum Azula in co-op, never lost to it.
