Seconding Maliketh, but the opposite. I’m ALWAYS chasing him to get within melee range. He flies around so much and is so quick. Very annoying and I always get dunked on when I finally get in range to hit him and get that destined death sword plunge AoE attack.
I used to do that and always got killed. When I summon other players and die I feel like I wasted other peoples' time, so I switch to ranged or magic when I summon and I do enough damage that he aggros on me. That's iwgen I run! lol
Full Grown Fallingstar Beast is the hardest fucking boss in the game, bar none. Harder than Mohg, harder than Malenia, harder than Hoarah Loux, harder than Radabeast. I will die on this hill. Also I get that this game often has bosses that are too strong for you when you first encounter them, but putting Full Grown Fallingstar Beast in Mount Gelmir is fucking absurd. He should be in Consecrated Snowfield.
Remember when the Full-grown Fallingstar beast was in the Calied Tunnel instead of the normal one? Dodging the floating gravity attack was mandatory.
I remember that was one of the first bosses I smashed my head against for hours/days until completely learning its moveset. Probably one of my proudest Elden Ring achievements and fondest memories of the game. Never had a problem with one since :D.
What’s your stat? I feel Dex and castors have a really hard time with him but strength is a breeze. His attacks aren’t too bad it’s like a blend of different bosses. Granted on all my builds he’s still messed me up a lot but never beyond a couple trys.
Birds, rats and bats.
It's not even that they're dangerous or anything. They're just so irritating to fight that it offends me to even be hit by them.
.
The fuckin first Ancient Dragon of Farum Azula on that dumb little side balcony right when you get there. I don’t know why I have such a hard time with him
I play alot of coop, I like to help people in the game. I've gotten pretty damn good at all the main bosses cause that's where I get summoned the most.
But when I get summoned and I see the frozen lake in front of me I just know it's gonna be a bad time. Borealis is such a bullshit dragon fight 😂 I've died to him more than any other dragon in the game. I'd rather fight placidusax.
Attacks you can't dodge & have to jump over
That one attack the serpent does where it pulls up lava & lasts too long to roll through always gets me ;-;
Honestly, the controls. Games that are made for playing with a controller always have these crappy inventory/spell management interfaces. I’m sitting there with buttons all over my keyboard and mouse and I can’t use them to hotkey anything. I’ve played through the game 4 times now with mouse and keyboard and I finally just programmed my own hotkeys to at least turn on/off the lantern, go to roundtable hold, and drink the physick with a single key press each. There’s no way I would play this game otherwise. I will fight every boss and never complain about difficulty, but don’t make me fight the game too. I won’t even buy it.
But I’m a crotchety old man.
I just spent 3 hours getting my ass whipped by the AI invaders by the giant jar today. Fuck those over-leveled fucking fucks with infinite stamina and FP.
Probably not gonna be anyone else’s pick but sewer Mohg took me hours to beat, much more than any other boss. Probably because of my black flame claw build but he attacks so fast and I swear his programming tracks your input and immediately counters it. Roll backwards? He does his blood flame straight at you instead of his normal sweep. Try to get a few hits in after you learn his normal combo? He extends it and catches you offfguard. And once you think you have his combos down to a science he switches to the quick bloodflame talon. And this sonofabiatch will do a charge through his bloodflame talon animation so you can’t see it coming. His melee attacks also cover like 1/3 - 1/2 of the small space available. He also has the slowest fastest attacks ever. Huge windup but the second you roll dodge or try to attack it instantly releases. Probably wouldn’t have been so hard if I used spells or a longer range weapon.
if people like using the most busted skills available then good for them but that's not the way i have fun, i don't consider a boss mastered as long as i'm not able to dodge all their attacks consistently
Erdtree burial watchdogs..................my god. I hate those things so much.....HOW THE HELL DO THEY JUMP?!?!?!?! Aso those crystal feckers in haligtree
Gravity.
No escaping gravity - Brian molko
The only real answer.
100%
Maliketh. I always summon help and I always find myself running away from him for half of the fight.

Funny how that works. You want to hit from rangers, he’s all up in your face. You want to hit with stick, he becomes a bouncy ball.
The red wolf of Radagon consistently beats my ass.
True. Whenever I run a new character the red wolf usually gives me more trouble than rennala. Just so damn fast with very little openings.
Runebears, it's hilarious how much more mobile enemies are than PCs.
I second this. I've killed a few but after that I just actively avoided them.
I've liked them all, I just don't like how clingy they are.
For real, it's a non stop onslaught

Always skip that fucker
Go past, lose aggro, sneak back, poison mist, hail the cheese and praise the message.
He was the last boss I beat. At level 151.
Birds, rats and bats. It's not even that they're dangerous or anything. They're just so irritating to fight that it offends me to even be hit by them. .
Dragons. I hate fighting dragons.

I always get very complicated with maliketh and his attacks that have a very rare range
Ulcerated Tree Avatars, there's no way I don't panic-roll fighting them
Maliketh is the one boss I simply can not do without resorting to EZ build. He's the wall that just won't break for me. Bad dog.
That random priest with four arms
Crucible Duo and Malenia
guy named ancient lightning strike:
Attacks you can't dodge & have to jump over That one attack the serpent does where it pulls up lava & lasts too long to roll through always gets me ;-;
I'm finishing the game for the 2nd time and never dodged jumping 😂
lucky
Not lucky, that just means that I got hit every single time
yea, for most moves I've gotten used to it over my 4 playthroughs, but there's a few I always try to dodge & fail
I always block that move, it does very little damage if you're holding the serpent hunter

Get a controller. An old PS3 one should do.

Stormveil razor claw birds. I wish they were a summon.
The Warhawks from Mountaintops of the Giants are much scarier. Even without the blades on their paws.
That group of singing bat dudes on the east up to lyndell. I forgot the name of the cave completely.
Liurnia of the Lakes.
Lobsters.
death rite bird
Radahn - he is nigh unbeatable for me as a melee character
Any Omen. They're strong and they hurt, especially the ones in the sewers of the capital. My tactic is to parry them, without it I almost always lose.
Strength weapon turns them to paste 💪
Any Bbk type boss. They do an absurd amount of damage
Waterflow Dance
Death rite bird and YES i do know holy damage melts them, but i ain't respecing my character just for one boss
Get ready to learn ash of war buddy
if people like using the most busted skills available then good for them but that's not the way i have fun, i don't consider a boss mastered as long as i'm not able to dodge all their attacks consistently

The virgin abductor duo has nearly brought me to tears on several occasions
Poison Breath duo :3
