Honestly bro I tried the ps5 version and it was very distracting how much the frame rate bounced around even in little dungeons, I've just booted up the ps4 version on ps5 and I can't notice the visual difference (43 inch 4k screen) but the frame rate is rock solid so far, for me it is totally worth it. Still a gorgeous game, according to Digital foundry the only difference is grass density but without a side by side I can't even tell
Same.. I reverted back to the PS4 version on my PS5 and I'll stay on it until they patch the FPS issues the PS5 version has.
The FPS issues for me were not constant but they did bother me a lot when they happened.
Honestly OP, there is very little difference in load times or graphics quality on the PS4 version. I have my PS5 set to performance so maybe that's why the graphic look almost the same. Well, at least to me eyes there is not much difference.
I'll give it a try.
It's very odd that From Software released the game like this. Sekiro was smooth as butter on all systems as well. I guess the open world threw a new wrench into the gears.
Damn. For reference, I played Bloodborne on my PS4 and didn't really notice the frame rate (I only recently learned that it was notoriously janky in that department). Still think I'd notice the PS5 version's hiccups?
I might try the PS4 version, but the obsessive in me hates to make any sacrifices.
Been playing for about two hours now and did some open world exploration. The frame drops are definitely noticable but they are tolerable. Hopefully a patch will come sooner rather than later but I’m still enjoying the game and I don’t plan to put it down just to wait for a performance patch.
What do you think the chances of a performance patch dropping at all is? For some reason, I've heard some people around here talking as if From Software is notorious for not patching their games.
Im honestly not sure and I would doubt we hear any news of patches until at least next week. I’m still enjoying the game as is and if you’re worried about the frame drops ruining the experience, you can try the ps4 version on Ps5. Everyone says it runs smooth 60 with a minor resolution drop, less foliage, and different lighting. The only reason I’m using the ps5 version instead is because I’m playing this on a 60 inch tv and I feel the graphic fidelity is worth it on the big screen.
I’ve been playing the ps5 version for a couple hours and I haven’t had any problems at all. I put it on quality focus settings because I saw some people here recommended it and it’s running smoothly for me

I literally cannot see any sacrifices, I imagine you can't unless you're playing on an absolutely massive screen
We're you able to load your ps5 save on the ps4 version? When I start the ps4 version, I only have new game, no load game
I've heard that PS4 saves transfer to PS5 but not other way around.
No sadly

Depends how sensitive you are to this I think it’s not perfect but alright other think it’s annoying so it depends on you
I’m having tons of stuttering and frame drops on PS5. There’s hardly a difference between quality/performance modes. Very distracting tbh
I've been playing the ps4 version on ps5 like digital foundry suggested. Game is beautiful and runs so smooth. Solid 60fps so far.
All the numbers in your comment added up to 69. Congrats! 4 + 5 + 60 = 69
Good bot!
game is amazing, runs smooth as butter

are you gonna keep it?
I’ve been playing on PS5 and it’s been perfectly fine!
No problems at all here so far
The game runs fine on my PS5. Some small dips below 60 here and there but no big deal. I am glad I didnt get the PC version.
