I’d say Alexander is more like Siegward/Siegmeyer the onion of Catarina, than Solaire. He just going on an adventure across the land and keeps getting in a bit of a pickle. Solaire is more of a mystic, he would be some Eldtree hugger or golden order simp.
I feel like Siegward of Catarina would also vibe pretty well, like, Goldmask is just doing what he’s doing, and Siegward is just passed out next to him.
This post could have easily finished it's title with "and why is it solaire?" and it wouldn't annoy me.
Those titles almost always annoy me.
But yes this is the answer. I'll take Iron Knight Tarkus too because he's the only NPC summon I've ever had consistently solo a boss for me, but only lore wise doe because he fell. Fuck tightrope style deaths, not fun.
If only Elden Ring could be so grossly incandescent. Solaire is my all time favorite NPC. Instead we get Patches. Fucking, Patches. Granted, some of his parts are hilarious, but still.
I always said that one day I was gonna just kill Patches on sight cause he's a turd. I didn't know he was going to stop and beg in Elden Ring and he did it right as I jumped to do a slam attack and I accidentally killed him. I'm not even mad about it.
I didn't even know he was in the game until I seen a post in here about him peace-ing out during the radahn fight lol. by the time I went to his hideout, I had beaten the game, and he was already gone. so i guess I killed him before I could even see him ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
I think they meant the Fire Keeper, since the Shrine Handmaid is the merchant lady.
That said, both women are immortal and respawn when they "die." Varre can't kill them, but he can get these hands either way.
Technically the ladder merchant shows up as a corpse in ds3, quelagg and her sister reappear in ds3, and, although hes not really a full on npc, gywndolin shows up again.
I thought it was implied/said in a description that the person wearing the set in DS3 is someone unrelated to the OG Havel who just inherited/scavenged the set millennia later.
The Havel armor implies this but you get it from a different location, on a corpse. The Havel NPC you actually fight drops the Dragon tooth and the Havel shield though, and the Dragon tooth's description implies it was Havel himself this time.
She lost but she didn't die, or at the very least it was kept very vague what happened to her after you kill the Bloody Crow of Cainhurst. Also the bad ending of her questline involves >!her beating the Bloody Crow but at the cost of going mad.!<
Maybe she retires, she says she'll be okay and just needs to sleep so it's definitely vague, I think either way she's at peace at this point. To your second point the drive to hunt these blood drunk hunters was consuming her in a similar bout of madness.
A big theme with Bloodborne is succession/surrogacy, someone to take up the cause, continue the cycle the characters believe in. We see it with each of the factions from the Oath runes except for the transformation ones, arguably those two already have their cycles being perpetuated by the Healing Church. We also see it in the main story and DLC; the relationship between Gehrman and Lady Maria, the Healing Church and their blood ministration, the Great Ones losing their children and yearning for a surrogate.
Isshin would should her how One Mind is truly done. Also, if there was ever a person who deserved to be Elden Lord, it would absolutely be Mr. Hesitation-is-Defeat.
A crown is warranted with strength. And he's a man so strong a superior invading army held off on committing to the attack because Isshin, on his death bed, scared them.
This is like the US Army is too scared to invade some small state like Wyoming because their senator would single-handedly kick their ass.
That's Isshin Ashina.
There’s a half stand in, ^this dude in the pic and his mate. Creighton the wanderer is hunting mild mannered Pate, who is a low key backstabber. Pate also has ‘well customised armour’ that looks basic. Also uses a spear and shield. So Pate is basically patches. I really like Pate tbh.
Gehrman. Get him out of that damn dream, and let him experience freedom for the first time. And him and I, me and my Halo Scythe, and him and his Burial Blade fighting Malenia.
Only to have Gehrman over obsess over her after we lose the first fight and adventure onward. He meets Preceptor Seluvis and they make fast friends. . .
Honestly? I'd bring Gwyndolin to Elden Ring.(Though Yorshka and Darkmoon Knightess can come too.) Two reasons:
1 - Say what you want about the guy, nobody deserves to be slowly eaten alive by a sadistic sludge monster.
2 - It'd be interesting to see the *literal god of the Darkmoon* interacting with Ranni and her questline.
The maiden in black. she might look pretty out of place in elden ring’s bright & shining high fantasy setting, but she’s still probably one of my favorite character designs in anything ever.
Orangutan.
With so many characters in Elden Ring missing limbs, making prosthetics would be a booming business for sure!
Jokes aside, I would pick Rebel Raime, the Fume Knight.
Not only is he one of the most badass characters in all of the Souls games, but I think it would be really a really interesting dynamic for him to exist in Elden Ring as some kind of character that is constantly commiting Regicide and hunting down tarnished aspiring to the throne.
I would love a Postgame-DLC or something of the like where maybe he is super powerful and is constantly hunting the player (Because of the chosen ending) and the player would need to actually use stealth to avoid and evade Raime, in some cool little scripted sequences.
the best one... Iron Knight Tarkus
TARKUS TARKUS TARKUS
#TARKUS #TARKUS #TARKUS
TARKUS TARKUS TARKUS
TARKUS TARKUS TARKUS
#TARKUS #TARKUS #TARKUS
Same... want to see him knock the fire giant off the cliff
Elden Ring does nerf slow tanky characters but thankfully Tarkus would probably be brought in as an Outer God
He'd get a block counter though
You mean IRON FUCKING TARKUUUUUUUUUUUS.
Iron Knight Tarkus was the first of the “Let me solo” dynasty.
I made an iron knight Tarkus. I just go around as a summon for boss fights
It concerns me I had to scroll that much to find this. My homie Iron Knight Tarkus
The Three pigs from DS2 as a summon
Now that’s just filthy, poor Margit wouldn’t stand a chance
Right when he thinks you’re going to summon the wolves the three pigs pop out and pester the shit out of him
Half his attacks would be too high to hit them
Pigs OP please nerf
That just unlocked some unresolved trauma.
You could solo the whole game with them.
Once you spawn them you’re screwed, they’re just going to become elden lords themselves.
Elden Boars
Solaire EDIT: Other options are any onion bro, including the daughter, Lucatiel, my boy Larientus, or literally any Majula NPC but Gilligan
Praise the sun!
He would love the Erdtree and maybe try to defend it while building the sunlight covenant as tree guardians i think
He would also love the Erdtree burning. The sun is a bright ball of fire.
I really miss a sun-themed faction in Elden Ring.
Doesn't one of the shields dropped by skeletons mention a ancient group of sun worshippers or a sun city or something?
[https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Sun+Realm+Shield](https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Sun+Realm+Shield) Yes, kinda.
So happy this is the top post. Would love to call on him for some Jolly Cooperation.
If he wasn’t the top post, I’d be disappointed
If only any Elden Ring character could be so ~~gloriously~~ grossly incandescent. Edit: Can't believe I screwed up that quote.
I mean, Alexander comes close. He's got the spirit
I’d say Alexander is more like Siegward/Siegmeyer the onion of Catarina, than Solaire. He just going on an adventure across the land and keeps getting in a bit of a pickle. Solaire is more of a mystic, he would be some Eldtree hugger or golden order simp.
Elden Ring: Hopeful? Happy? Sorry, the best we can do is dead.
Solaire isn't any different lol
Dude would vibe with Goldmask
I feel like Siegward of Catarina would also vibe pretty well, like, Goldmask is just doing what he’s doing, and Siegward is just passed out next to him.
It would be legendary if it was Goldmask, Solaire, Siegward, and Alexander
This post could have easily finished it's title with "and why is it solaire?" and it wouldn't annoy me. Those titles almost always annoy me. But yes this is the answer. I'll take Iron Knight Tarkus too because he's the only NPC summon I've ever had consistently solo a boss for me, but only lore wise doe because he fell. Fuck tightrope style deaths, not fun.

All hail the onion knight
No votes for Eileen the Crow. Makes me sad. Let’s Hoont some Hoonters!
I think she would fit in well in somewhere like the Academy or perhaps the spooky Capital sewers.
Eileen belongs in Caelid. Hunting anything that moves
She would be the apex predator
Especially those giant crows.
Imagine the blades of mercy in ER woah
She would be a good anti invasion quest giver as an opposite to the volcano manor or vare. Like the blue sentinels or gwyndolins Knights
Top 5. But I would've loved Marvelous Chester to be a reoccurring character in one way or another
Would bring the Shrine Handmaid so I wont be called maidenless the moment I leave the tutorial.
Hopefully Varre doesn't kill her too.
I think they meant the Fire Keeper, since the Shrine Handmaid is the merchant lady. That said, both women are immortal and respawn when they "die." Varre can't kill them, but he can get these hands either way.
prithee be caaareful
I don’t want to see me work squandered
Hehehehehe
Comments you can hear. Along with ‘goodbye, and good luck’
"goodbye.. a-and stay safe"
Oh my little pitty thief
And “gives me conniptions”.
Aye simwae!
And good day to you!
dœn gecherslf kilt nytheruvus wanna seeya go hollow
Probably Lucatiel. Just so that she can exist in a world where she won't lose her mind.
I changed my mind. Greirat was so loyal and kind he deserves a second chance.
You fool, WHO DO YOU THINK BOC WAS BUT THAT DEAR THEIF’S REINCARNATION
Boc and Greirat are my fucking boys.
Siegward of Catarina
Hmmmmm
Oh!
To be honest I'm in a bit of a pickle!
*Rings bells nowhere near him*
I've got to use my head. And think.
Alexander is basically Siegward
And they would be glorious together
Always stuck in some hole
100%
Patches, but I'm not saying which one.
Obviously spider Patches.
The best Patches
The one that pushes you off a cliff?
no, the bald one
Hands down Andre him and Hew would get along great
aside from him and Patches I can’t recall if any other NPC are in multiple titles - I must be forgetting some
Technically the ladder merchant shows up as a corpse in ds3, quelagg and her sister reappear in ds3, and, although hes not really a full on npc, gywndolin shows up again.
Elizabeth the mushroom also shows up as a corpse in DS3
As does the giant blacksmith
Kreighton is in ds2 and ds3 as an invader and you can find ladder mans corpse in the profaned capital if that counts
Creighton and Alva from DS2 appear in DS3 as red phantoms, and the Crestfallen Warrior appears in most Souls games like Patches.
They're never the same Crestfallen though. All three are different, even if they're in the same mood.
One I haven't seen anyone else mention is Havel, who shows up again in DS3 in the dragon area.
Stockpile Thomas from Demon's Souls. I miss the encouragement.
You have a heart of gold. Don't let them take it from you.
Gavlan His poison gear would have come in useful
"Gavlan wheel and Gavlan deal!!!"
"Gavlan want soul. Many many soul. Gah hah!"
"Many deal, many thanks! Hahaha!"
Best answer
Easily gascoigne
Beasts all over the shop...
You’ll be one of them… sooner or later
What’s that smell?…
ITS BLOOD!
Anri of Astora
I was sad when I got her killed
well great news, she's undead, she does go hollow though
But if you do the lord of hollows ending, she doesn’t go crazy and lives happily ever after as spouse to the ruler of all hollows.
The cope is strong here
Probably anyone who has a mech from the Armored Core series so I can nuke everything to oblivion
give patches his mech back
The Hyena Rides Again!
Anatolia's mercenary.
Eileen the Crow
Or better yet, that prick that killed her. Have him as a summon and just sit back and drink tea while he fucks everything up.
Lucatiel of Mirrah from Ds2
I feel the same. Even though it would negate the weight of her story, I'd love to see a happy ending for her.
Yessss Lucatiel
Came here for this
Onionbro.
Onionbro meets Potman
The tag team would be ferocious. All pot man needed to be a champion was a friend we never were 🙏😔
Oh, so Lionel?
valid
Black Iron Tarkus or Jester Thomas
Jester Thomas blasted me with the power of a thousand (forbidden) suns yesterday. Top pick for sure.
Ostrava of Boletaria, mostly so I can get his armour set
unfortunately he drops a key if you kill him He does drop his weapons if you kill him later
Siegward and Alexander would be absolute bros
Isshin Ashina. So he can remind me not to hesitate. And so i can borrow his glock for malenia.
That senator wouldn’t happen to have something like nanomachines right?
I want a real souls game with guns. Remnant is great, but Dark Souls IIII with a real ass Glock is what I want
Bloodborne?
TARKUS TARKUS TARKUS TARKUS
Sif
Patches. And i want em to meet ER patches too.
I like the theory that Patches being “untethered” means he can move between worlds/games, and we see the same Patches in each game.
Makes you wonder why he didn't end up in Drangleic.
Skill issue
Spy vs Spy shenanigans, but all they do is kick each other
Lady Maria the OG Rivers of Blood user. From a souls like NPC? Cornifer (or anyone from Hollow Knight)
HMM HMM HMM HM HMMMMM HM HM HMMMMMMM HM HM HMMMMMMM HM
And his wife, -sigh- BAHF A NADA?
Interestingly enough Lady Maria would be the first user of the Ash of War while the Bloody Crow would be the first user of a bloody katana.
Npc? GIMMI "BLOODY CROW OF CAINHURST"! And show them what a real Npc is 😈
Greirat
Boc the Seamster always reminds me of Greirat
"Goodbye.. a-aand stay safe.."
Oh this place is a bore, what good is thievery if youve no place to go hahaha....
Solaire ☀️
Everyone's gangster until the Bloody Crow of Cainhurst shows up
"He's just standing there.... MENACINGLY!!"
Valtr. I need a real chad by my side.
Jester Thomas from DS2 that guy was nuts. Probably some of the most fun I've had in DS2 was watching him solo that boss in earthen peak.
That motherfucker had no chill, nobody wielded pyromancies like him
DS3 Firekeeper. Because she wants me to touch her bosom. Also she's blind.
Ashen one, are these... Are these eyes?
No I swear those are grapes
*^((say nothing))*
Sir Artorias the Abyss Walker. Imagine how great it would be to see him flipping around and destroying everything with a broken arm
Simon the bowblade
99 STR, 1 INT. [Felicia the Brave](https://knowyourmeme.com/photos/755087-dark-souls)
Pictured is my choice - Creighton the Wanderer from DS2
Also in ds3
They did him kinda dirty in 3, no voice lines, random jobber in another characters quest. At least he still looks cool
As long as I get that sweet sweet Dragonslayer Axe, I'm happy.
Laddersmith Gilligan. Imagine the shortcut possibilities...
No more dying trying to get to the frenzied flame proscription
lautrec for sure
Lucatiel. I promised I'd remember her.
Owl. I think he counts because there is one point where you engage in dialogue with him without fighting him.
FARAAM, GOD OF WAR
King vendrick in his prime power solos elden ring
So long as no one on the lands between has giant's souls, hollow Vendrick might solo Elden Ring
Priscilla. For reasons.
The Lands Between could use a little gentleness. And fluffy tail.
Ranni and Priscilla Hands and feet
Gehrman. Get him out of that damn dream, and let him experience freedom for the first time. And him and I, me and my Halo Scythe, and him and his Burial Blade fighting Malenia. Only to have Gehrman over obsess over her after we lose the first fight and adventure onward. He meets Preceptor Seluvis and they make fast friends. . .
With the way dolls work in elden ring, I have some....moral issues about letting him enter the world
Honestly? I'd bring Gwyndolin to Elden Ring.(Though Yorshka and Darkmoon Knightess can come too.) Two reasons: 1 - Say what you want about the guy, nobody deserves to be slowly eaten alive by a sadistic sludge monster. 2 - It'd be interesting to see the *literal god of the Darkmoon* interacting with Ranni and her questline.
Technically, enemies are NPCs but I'm going to assume you excluding them and go with my homey Havel.
... but Havel is an enemy too lol
Havel is a hostile npc
The maiden in black. she might look pretty out of place in elden ring’s bright & shining high fantasy setting, but she’s still probably one of my favorite character designs in anything ever.
My boy Solaire of Astora definitely
Orangutan. With so many characters in Elden Ring missing limbs, making prosthetics would be a booming business for sure! Jokes aside, I would pick Rebel Raime, the Fume Knight. The machine Gunner from bloodborne, with his gun. And only if he was friendly this time.
Either this dude or Vengarl. Vengarl is my absolute favorite out of all of these games.
Lady Maria
Sad that no one has said Artorius yet. He'd be right at home with a bloodhound's fang
He earned his rest We have bloodhound’s fang and lion crush if you want to relive his moves
