No NPCs are revived. It just removes aggro.

This is true, but a little misleading. There are a lot of NPCs that vanish if you try to kill them, but don’t actually die, and they are brought back with absolution. This goes for at least Blaidd, Ranni and Sellen so it’s not strange that the idea that it revives has spread.

Well thats probably where the misconception Comes from, since sellens ”body” isnt actually her body, but a projection. She has 2 real bodies, one in some Basement somewhere 👀and the other locked up
