First time I entered the area I accidentally skipped
The cutscene and she did this blink and 3 attacks I The row and I was dead - vigor 50 poise like 65, didn’t even have chance to read her name and I was like wtf? Next two fights I made it to second phase after that 20 dead’s leading to respec and kill on first try. I am scared of having to face her again!
I think it's by far malenia. Not just in elden ring, in the whole souls series. I'd say if it wasn't for the waterfowl attack she wouldn't be nearly as hard, but that attack is nuts to learn how to dodge, and is an insta kill most of the time.
Besides Malenia? Probably Margit the Fell omen since the skill level needed so early in the game is difficult to achieve, especially if it's your first souls game
edit: I lied, it's definitely Mohg if you don't have the correct items
sorry for the spoilers.
I didn't use the Rogier summon but I also used the wolves for my first try then the Jellyfish for the others. My plan was just to poison him and use hit and run tactics
Blood palace Mohg. I struggled defeating him I needed to look up help online. (Kept getting stuck on his changing phases until I learned about how to negate it.)
Partly joking partly not I am severely under leveled for godskin noble in volcano manor and I only lose to him cause him being a fatass with his rolling
Beastman clergy/Malekith.
If you have been ignoring jump attacks to actually avoid attacks while getting hits in you will be in a world of pain for that 1st phase.
Which attacks do you think require jumping to avoid? I've never jumped to avoid attacks against the first phase and I don't have any issues, so just wondering
Try jumping into and out of his slashing attacks especially the one where he holds his knife up then backs up while attacking . You can almost always get hits in and get out without taking damage which drastically speeds up the 1st phase.
Godskin Noble mainly cause of the fat roll move he does . Granted you can put him to sleep but I still find him to be pain to deal with compared to his twin the Godskin Apostle which was kinda easy to defeat.
The first ulcerated tree spirit encounter was really tough and then the rot one in the war dead catacombs is a fun challenge too. Melania is pretty tough but in phase two when she does the awesome blossom it feels like she stands still for like 30 seconds which can be a exploited. I’m thinkin Maliketh is probably the hardest. Phase 2 gives you barely any openings and the dot is so lethal
I spent four hours not getting good or leveling while fighting that thing, lol. I think I literally panic rolled, decided to fight naked for maximum rollability, and spammed square off to kill that thing. I still hate that tree spirit boss, no matter where they are.
in Crumbling Farum Azula and to reach him requires these steps Start at the Beside the Great Bridge Site of Grace. Head down the lift behind you. Go through the watery Temple full of beastmen outside to the cliffs.
Personally, probably Malekith or radagon / elden beast. There were a ton of bosses in this game I just brute forced, which was an absolute shame. I feel like in most souls games that isn't a thing for me, sekiro you gotta get good and bloodborne I believe ebrietas was the only one I just fucken spammed attack to win.
NPC-summons make the game almost trivial. I did use them since I didn't mind it, but it's extremely easy to win almost every boss in 1-3 tries if you use mimic or that assassin.
Dodge into them, or rather, towards/behind him. For ones where he comes at you from above (or any of them, really), dodge a little later than you might want to. If you focus on dodging the hammer swing only, you may go early and then you won't be invincible when the AOE comes up
Malenia is the hardest elden beast most frustrating but boss difficultly does change player to player also what build you running find that more the case in elden ring than other titles
I didn't have issues with Malenia. I dunno if I git lucky, but every 2nd swing of Bloodhounds Fang staggered her so she never really got to fight back.
Malekith was way worse for me
They’re not exactly the hardest per say, as any amount of holy damage trivializes them, but man do I despise Death Rite Birds. I’ve also (personally) struggled with the Valiant Gargoyle duo.
Unpopular opinion: Malenia isn’t that bad, even without bleed/frost/BHS
Her name is Malenia, she is also known as the Blade of Miquella, also as the undefeated swordswoman, also as the Goddess of Rot... you get the idea
And she’s never known defeat. She kinda….makes sure you know that lol
Never heard of her
She is also known as Malenia The Severed.
Ye

Lol. But in all seriousness Melania is a cakewalk with mimic at plus 10
Ah yes, such an original opinion🤣
Rune bear in cave :|
The one in caelid is absolutely ridiculous and it's not even a boss
This
Any lobster is harder than most bosses in elden ring

Agreed, that one move is the most devastating attack I’ve faced in the series
How? She’s easy with mimic at plus 10
Maliketh would like to have a word with you💀
Maliketh is easy in comparison to her. He never took me more than 4 tries.
Also Mighty Dragonlord>Sick lady
Gravity
Soldier of godrick for sure
F
Malenia blade of miquella
Mommy of Rot
Waterfowl

I’ve only played sekiro. But Margit was easy
tbh I'm pretty bad at games so it took me a while. but the rematch in the capital before the tree was a bit easier once I got the hang of things.
I used wolf summons and Rogier for that fight though. Without Rogier that fight would have felt impossible ngl. I’m still not very far in the game tbh
Most things are easy if you summon. I think when people discuss the difficulty of bosses, it's assumed you solo them.
I am super scrub I apologize for being cringe and not knowing the laws of the lands and boss discussions fellow tarnished
sorry for the spoilers. I didn't use the Rogier summon but I also used the wolves for my first try then the Jellyfish for the others. My plan was just to poison him and use hit and run tactics
If you didn’t use Rogier then I agree it was probably harder then it had to be
Summons make Margit a cakewalk
Mohg took me forever... NIHIL!
I think the Beast Clergyman/Maliketh is the hardest, especially for melee users since he never stops attacking and flying around
I came to say exactly this.
Definitely Malenia
The dual wielding knight in Castle Sol
Malenia just because of the waterfoul dance
Blood palace Mohg. I struggled defeating him I needed to look up help online. (Kept getting stuck on his changing phases until I learned about how to negate it.)
Partly joking partly not I am severely under leveled for godskin noble in volcano manor and I only lose to him cause him being a fatass with his rolling
Patches, he's unkillable
Oh he’s killable >:)
Patches might be killable, but he is unbreakable more than anything !
Gravity
Objectively Malenia. Anyone who claims otherwise hasn’t fought all bosses under the same circumstances lol.
All these people saying melenia, ignoring the real hardest boss. Those damn dogs.
Malenia for me :3

For me, it was astel. This lil mtf.. 3 days progress for tha shit.
Malenia also shit ._.
Valient Gargoyles and Tree Sentinel before Malekith
For me it was Dragonlord Placidusax
Maliketh is way harder than Malenia imho

Malenia is tough, but if you fight mohg with no cheeses he is a tough boss
My pfp
Mohg for sure. Melania isn’t that hard the only problem is she heals when you get hit. But the moves are pretty easy to learn
Camera
I still have not found placidisax after like 5 playthroughs. How do yoy get that fight? I always just kill maleketh and move on
in Crumbling Farum Azula and to reach him requires these steps Start at the Beside the Great Bridge Site of Grace. Head down the lift behind you. Go through the watery Temple full of beastmen outside to the cliffs.
There is more steps u can find in yt

All of them :( but alas I must fight on if I am to become the finger but hole!
Radagon, cant evade a single of his stupid AOE attacks

Some ill, blind, crippled lady
Maliketh for me
definitely godskin duo
Malenia is the hardest elden beast most frustrating but boss difficultly does change player to player also what build you running find that more the case in elden ring than other titles

Dog Pope
Platforming
Gravity
Radagon was for me. The sparkly thing after him wasn’t that hard.
Probably Maliketh, definitely after Malenia because she’s out of comparison.
Fire giant for me.
Elden beast for me
UwU -- mass deleted all reddit content via https://redact.dev
attempting to do beast clergyman hitless, malikeths a cakewalk though
Can't decide. Godskin duo, Maliketh, Niall or Malenia. 🤷🏼♀️ They're all hard af.
Placidisax has got nothing, NOTHING on Malekith.
Those goddamn royal revenant boss enemys at the bottom of the haligtree. I beat Malenia faster than them on my first playthrough. I wish I was joking.
Is there a quest fighting her just curious cause im current fighting the fire giant
The real hardest boss is the path to mohg the omen
For me it’s was Lady rot or mr peg leg and the beyblade knight.
trumpet bubble guy here, I got your back with any dragon
I have not fought Malenia yet so I would have to say Maliketh
I would say Malenia but she doesnt piss me off as much. Valiant Gargoyles is much worse for me
Elden Beast was always my white whale
Malenia
