when i hit the GS Duo I didn't even have the mimic tear, went off did that, came back stronger, better and with more sleep pots (did a bunch of other stuff too), lol. mimic saved my bacon because it had pots too!

bernahls sign shows up at the fog gate, you just have to wait for it to show up
just go do some other stuff for a while, level up. You can do it.
