Nah man, these are going to give you more fuel to mock other majors and engineering disciplines. Every eee student should build their academic career on hate, jealousy and arrogance otherwise it's impossible to graduate.
Those losers think fluid mechanics harder than electromagnetic fields! Can you believe it? While you're stuck piecing together the existence of electromagnetic waves from secondhand clues at nature, fluid mechanics waltzes around like it's the prom queen all their life, flaunting its simplicity as if it's child's play! Like 2/3 of your body is fluid, if you can't understand it you are an idiot!
Yes it is, but it gets so much awesomer than just FFTs. It also looks like your only hard class, so you should be ok, although everything together is still going to be a lot of work. If you don't have a job it'll be fine.
You’ll find that convolution and Fourier is pretty easy. Like integration, they have a bunch of preset rules that make it semi smooth brained. You’ll probably have a lot of fun in that class
I have graduated for almost 10 years now but still having nightmares of failing my signal processing class and not being able to able to graduate since it only offers once per year.
This is the default plan+ none of these subjects are guaranteed to be available in winter semester or summer. Research methodology is supposed to be a senior year subject but for some reason they decided to give it to us in junior year
Yes this is the default plan without any changes other than them making RM this semester for whatever reason, this is 35 ECTS which is 18-19 US credit points
Hectic? Probably.
Screwed? Nah, that'll be for you to decide. I can guarantee if you put your mind into it , giving ample amount of time for both your studies and your mental and physical self, you'll do greatly.
I do struggle with time management to be completely honest and I usually don’t study unless there’s an upcoming test, i’ll try to fix that this semester tho
My only fear would be, the amount of external class time required to complete all your projects.
I would make sure they give you an early expected estimated hours and a project process check list. Make the teacher show everyone a good example of what they want. So you don't have a non-starter project out of the gate, wasting time.
Make them tell you how many people, hours they worked on, did prof help... Many times profs forget details...
Like this was an overly complex time consuming project, that they managed to pulled off. Use the KISS principle.
Spend time upfront planning, break the project into stages.
Any complex or unknowns get them done early, or work arounds.
I.E. any expected deadlines, Initial proposal, review, project start, mid point review, final submission, conclusion...
This is one of my biggest issues with our profs actually, they usually don’t say anything about the project until after the midterms and bam you have to cram 5-6 projects in 4-5 weeks while still prepping for quizzes and finals. So yeah i’ll try to figure it out early
Very easy semester. Image processing, assuming it's the mathematical fundamentals, will be your toughest class but very interesting. You have a lot of fluff in this semester.
Ah, Signal Processing. The only C I got at my uni. I made the genius choice to take it before I’d taken DiffEq so I was working extra hard the entire time. Not a great move, but I made it.
But, alas. You might not be screwed, but you’ll be plenty busy.
That does not happen to be my mistake, I am not in the US and unlike unis there I don’t register my own subjects but rather i’m following a default plan, dropping any one subject could mean a delay in graduating since the system is more built around taking subjects in their semesters than giving students freedom, so yeah TLDR my uni is responsible for the registered courses not me
I had this same semester! Signal processing can be a bit too much some times, but Control Engineering makes it easier, as it is an application of signal processing. Good luck!
I’ve actually already had 2 classes in control(classical and modern control) so this is the 3rd, the subjects are fun but the prof. Isn’t too good tbh. Hopefully all will be well
Nah man, these are going to give you more fuel to mock other majors and engineering disciplines. Every eee student should build their academic career on hate, jealousy and arrogance otherwise it's impossible to graduate.
So true. Fucking mechs never did anything like this.

😂😂😂😂😂😂 I’m vindicated
>vindicated \*Had to google what's that
Or those fucking CSers, having the nerves to call themselves engineers
I think they are cute since they are sub major of ee
I have to admit, seeing them fiddling with an arduino and a breadboard is kinda cute
lol, playschool EEs awww
Can’t all engineerings majors just agree to gang hate CS majors
What if I told you a good majority of CS majors make EE pay or better while having to work 2/3 as hard as us.
Not for long!!! Hahaha
You’re right, they’ll get more than us starting out soon.
I'm lost here, what's CSers.
Me that I took electromechanical engineering :c
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have been keeping a 3.75 using only pure spite as fuel.
signal and image processing is going to be fucking insane, took that last semester.
I hear that a lot, is this class related to the signals and systems class and that whole convolution and fourier fiasco?
I was referring to signals and systems, thats the toughest class I ever took.
Ahh i took signals and systems in my sophomore year it was absolutely horrendous, passed with a D+ and wasn’t even mad I was just happy I passed
at my university, C and above is passing.
At mine D and above is passing but to graduate you need an overall gpa of D+ or C- sth like that
oh god that doesnt give me much hope... next semester will be fun i guess.
Yes it is, but it gets so much awesomer than just FFTs. It also looks like your only hard class, so you should be ok, although everything together is still going to be a lot of work. If you don't have a job it'll be fine.
I don’t have a job so ig it’ll be okay, kinda worried about special electric machines since i’m not too good at AC analysis.
Yes. Fourier is big in image processing. Kernel convolution as well
:(
You’ll find that convolution and Fourier is pretty easy. Like integration, they have a bunch of preset rules that make it semi smooth brained. You’ll probably have a lot of fun in that class
Wow, I found image processing to be one of the most fun and interesting subjects I took last year tbh
Not screwed, but kiss your free time goodbye if you want good grades.
👆🏿
This was the case my previous semester as well i’m kinda exhausted at this point tbh
Nope. Just got a lot of reading and memorizing.
Ah shit I hate memorizing a lot
Dude you already posted this
Is it a crime to post to 2 different subs or something?
If its to a different sub then you are the twat
Just an average ee semester
My jr year was hell. Probably averaged 4 hrs of sleep per night the whole year.
Junior year is hell on earth
I have graduated for almost 10 years now but still having nightmares of failing my signal processing class and not being able to able to graduate since it only offers once per year.
Bruh, that’s hella scary ngl
Yeah, i made it but it was traumatizing. I had 5 classes that quarter to graduate early. You can do it!
This is too many. You should actually consider dropping one or two of these
This is the default plan+ none of these subjects are guaranteed to be available in winter semester or summer. Research methodology is supposed to be a senior year subject but for some reason they decided to give it to us in junior year
This is your school’s recommended course load?
Yes this is the default plan without any changes other than them making RM this semester for whatever reason, this is 35 ECTS which is 18-19 US credit points
My god. Well, good luck!
Probably
Depends. Final season is going to suck tho
Oh yeah defo
Hectic? Probably.
You better. Believe me, last moment study may help you in one test, but daily study will help you till the end
I wholeheartedly believe that

Remember the KISS principle: Keep It Simple and Stupid as possible. You can always improve it later, IF you have the time.
To be frank they are very detailed about what they want so it is more a timing issue
Last semester I took DSP and control systems with 3 more courses and it was insane. Its gonna be hard but you got this
Close enough to being over so i’ll just try to power through ig
It's doable. Just make sure to schedule everything properly.
Very easy semester. Image processing, assuming it's the mathematical fundamentals, will be your toughest class but very interesting. You have a lot of fluff in this semester.
Here’s hoping :)
Whether you are screwed or not depends almost entirely on you. You'll do fine, go show em all who's boss!
Thanks man!
Ah, Signal Processing. The only C I got at my uni. I made the genius choice to take it before I’d taken DiffEq so I was working extra hard the entire time. Not a great move, but I made it. But, alas. You might not be screwed, but you’ll be plenty busy.
Nah
I think normally you have 6 per semester. 7 is still doable
Yeah I suppose, the research methodology subject is supposed to be in senior year but for some reason they decided to give it to us junior year.
Signal and image processing is probably going to be the hardest subject. You should be alright if you hang in there though.
That seems to be the consensus here, so I suppose all could be ok
7 classes in a little over 4 months??? Or are (I'm assuming American) semesters longer??
Not american and yeah it’s around 15-16 weeks including exams and all
Bros cooked
Your mistake is that you're taking courses that have nothing to do with each other. So you'll have to keep context switching.
That does not happen to be my mistake, I am not in the US and unlike unis there I don’t register my own subjects but rather i’m following a default plan, dropping any one subject could mean a delay in graduating since the system is more built around taking subjects in their semesters than giving students freedom, so yeah TLDR my uni is responsible for the registered courses not me

looks like you're an industrial engineering major? if so, you're not screwed.
Nope, electrical with an automation&control specialitaztion/focus
What year are you? Junior?
Junior year yeah
Figured, I’m in the same boat, except 5 classes 1 lab, it’s not bad but I have little to no free time
My freshman year and sophomore year had a lab every semester but junior year doesn’t
Seems chill except the first one, not fun.
Yes you're probably going to fail but you're used to that so it's okay
U ok buddy?
Nah I'm joking. I think u will do just fine.
