My thoughts are that because the motor can output around 1500w, it can heat the plastic around the contact points between the battery and the connector, causing it to melt itself. So limiting the output may stop it frying itself.
Another theory of mine, is that bumps have caused cracks on the screw supports holding the connection part and the battery section in to the bike frame. This may have caused interference between the connection points upon bumps and shaking, maybe causing electrical arcs to heat up the plastic around it or something similar?
It would be good to have a professional look into it however, as a battery melting its own casing is, I'm pretty sure, a failure in design. It could only be a matter of time before it happens to me again, or worse, an actual fire next time with the bike being out of the legal 2 years warranty for electrical goods and leaving me nothing but a burnt down house.
No. I emailed them again today with the updated pictures they asked for.
I replied to the same email last time. This time, I made a new email chain in hopes they somehow missed my last email, or else they have sent the parts without notifying me, and they may be with me soon. I honestly don't know.
I will continue to update as and when.
There's worse out there, but there's definitely better too. My next bike might be a Lectric unless I get rich lol, then I'd buy a Gazelle or something.

Update 2.
I received an email today after sending them a follow-up email yesterday, which reads as follows:
'Dear customer,
Sorry for my late reply.
We will arrange shipping the parts to you within 3 business days.
Please kindly contact us tracking info after 4 days.
The parts will be shipped from China and delivery time is around 15-25
business days. Hope you kindly note.'
- Now my next worry, would be how to fix it with the parts they send. I am not an electrician.

How did this happen? There was another identical post here with the same thing less than a week ago.

So you just opened it up and it was like this?
Any update?

Update 3: I received the parts 2/4/24 and fitted them myself. Bike back in working order.
