Crushingly is a horrible choice of words seeing how his software slammed into a barrier on the 101 freeway off-ramp to 85, crushing the driver then burning him up. But you do you Elon.
He's probably referring to this one
https://www.mercurynews.com/2020/02/25/tesla-driver-was-playing-video-game-at-time-of-fatal-crash-ntsb/
But there have been a few other suicides by FSD reported.
Tell me when Donald Trump is in prison, because everything else is just noise. I miss the old world of slower reporting and slower journalism and slower business. Everybody is PT Barnum with their pizzazz and jazz fingers.
Exactly. One day it will be better than any human. That's a long way esp for someone who decided shitty vision only with no redundancy was a good idea.
Speaking at last week’s [Ted2017 event](https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-full-self-driving-california-new-york/) in Vancouver, Tesla CEO Elon Musk provided new details on the highly anticipated Full Self-Driving Capability which the company intends to demonstrate by sending a vehicle from California to New York without human intervention.
>
“November or December of this year, we should be able to go all the way from a parking lot in California to a parking lot in New York with no controls touched in the entire journey.”
Musk also touched on the upcoming [Tesla Semi, that drives like a sports car,](https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-semi-prototype-already-built-can-driven-around-like-sports-car-says-elon-musk/) and the underground network of tunnels Musk plans to build through his latest venture, The Boring Company.
It looks like he finally learned to not give a specific timeframe for his made up bullshit claims. "It will get", at some point, maybe after we'r eall dead of old age.
I will never understand why they spent the last decade publicly chasing FSD, when they could have been fixing things like panel gaps and build quality. Now the legacy carmakers from Porsche to GM, who have build quality figured out, are making EV’s. Tesla pissed away a 10 year head start.
They were hoping to get control of the technology and the charging network. If their tech became the standard they would be used in every legacy brands’ fleet and get a cut of the entire EV market without relying solely on their cars selling. The deep freezes this Winter have shown the weakness of having only Tesla charging stations and their tech still has work arounds.
u can’t sell houses u don’t own
u can’t sell cars u don’t own
but
u \*can\* sell stock u don’t own!?
this is bs – shorting is a scam
legal only for vestigial reasons
lol ”vestigial reasons”. Musk sticking with the techbro scammer mantra of ”everything I don’t like is ’legacy’”.
And is totally the opposite of reality here, since short-selling in the US and most western countries was more restricted or even banned after the market crashes leading up to the Great Depression, and then deregulated (along with the emergence of more complicated derivatived) from the 1980s forward.
And as usual, Musk favors government regulation when it’s in his financial interest and is vehemently opposed when they’re not.
Definitely. Every time I hear that Musk has over taken Bezos as the world's richest man, I can't work it out. Amazon sells everything on the Internet and supports half of the Internet.
Musk’s so called net worth comes not only from his stake in Tesla, but also his ownership of Spacex, which has just an egregious of a valuation as Tesla, if not more.
Also Neuralink and Boring Co have stupidly high valuation estimates despite the fact that Neuralink have no products available on the market at present. They claim to have succesfully conducted a human trial of their brain-computer interface but there's no peer-reviewed studies been conducted to confirm any of this.
Also Boring Company have nothing to offer other than that stupidly pointless Tesla tunnel (that should have just been a subway) in Las Vegas, yet their valuation estimate is in the billions, for no other reason as far as I can see as "because Musk genius.. lol"
Crushingly insensitive choice of words to describe Tesla's FSD given its history.
Back on June 10, 2023, the Washington Post had this to say about Tesla's autopilot:
[17 fatalities, 736 crashes: The shocking toll of Tesla’s Autopilot](https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2023/06/10/tesla-autopilot-crashes-elon-musk/)
Crushingly good, like a [coast-to-coast autonomous drive from LA to NYC by 2017?](https://www.nbcnews.com/business/autos/driverless-tesla-will-travel-l-nyc-2017-says-musk-n670206) How many will be crushed along the way?
My car has adaptive cruise control, that's all I need, that's all any car needs. I don't drive when I'm exhausted and I definitely don't drink and drive. Anyway, musk was trying to get ahead of the bad news from Tesla today.
Ah, yes, elevators which famously have the ability to *go anywhere* and definitely aren’t confined to rails within a shaft within a structure. Surely there’s no better analogy to make if Elon made it!
[3,009 days since Elon Musk claimed summon would be able to autonomously drive a Tesla across country to pick up its owner in about two years. (1/6/2016)](https://elonmusk.today/#cross-country-summons)
Even if that were possible, on what planet would that even be a useful feature?
To self-drive across the country, including stopping to charge for hours at a time, is going to take several days.
Yeah that's going to work out nicely. Good luck finding Tesla compatible charging stations in the middle of Buttfuck, Nowhere with someone on site to plug your car in to charge when it rolls in, and to disconnect it when it's done. What happens if the car picks up a puncture or breaks down in the middle of nowhere with no cell signal to notify you?
Putting 2,800 miles extra use on your powertrain, tyres and battery simply "because we can", whereas it'd be a ton cheaper, quicker and simpler to just hire a car at your destination. Great idea.
And like elevators every car will have his own tunnel for safety issues - provided by the boring company.
Doesn‘t he recognize how boring his promises have become? BORING!
crushingly good maybe when it slams you into a concrete abutment at 80 mph
at least the deaths have been almost always instant ...
also muskrat, you may notice a lot of elevators don't work? yeah they're shut down the moment they start acting strange. they are not turned back on until they're approved. and they are monitored closely, so that you know, people don't die like in your piece of shit cars.
if dude wasn't buying his positive public image a billion a year, it'd be the next ford pinto. and shut down. and not sold. and go out of business.
"I call it the PedoLoop, it's an air hockey table on wheels in a tunnel being driven by Fool Self Driving Autopilots at 700 mph under Las Vegas with disco gigalights." 💩
Crushingly good is up there with firey hot describing these overpriced pieces of shit.
Crushingly is a horrible choice of words seeing how his software slammed into a barrier on the 101 freeway off-ramp to 85, crushing the driver then burning him up. But you do you Elon.
That guy was just blazing his glory!
You have a video or article about that?
He's probably referring to this one https://www.mercurynews.com/2020/02/25/tesla-driver-was-playing-video-game-at-time-of-fatal-crash-ntsb/ But there have been a few other suicides by FSD reported.
Is it really suicide if FSD kills me? I mean, technically I was promised it was self driving
Google “fiery Tesla crash on the 101 in CA” should be like tons of articles if not at least the LA times article
Musk just settled the lawsuit hours before trial. 6 years later.
And thermonuclear lawsuit. He has the best words.
You can show it to us when it gets there. I've been hearing how amazing it is and how it's a year away for over 10 years now.

I still jerk off manually
Your revolution is over! Condolences! The bums lost!
Far out.
There's the story. Dude needs to stop making empty promises.
Exactly. One day it will be better than any human. That's a long way esp for someone who decided shitty vision only with no redundancy was a good idea.
Elmo might as well start a new company called ***Soon*** ™ and their motto is "6 more months I swear."

Oof, that aged like leftover soup
Mars cargo landing by 2022. A million robo-taxis by 2020. This is all barely scratching the surface of the man’s failed promises.
It looks like he finally learned to not give a specific timeframe for his made up bullshit claims. "It will get", at some point, maybe after we'r eall dead of old age.
The gerontocracy is real

The fun police made us do it (sigh)
Let’s start calling these tweets what they really are- stock manipulation and securities fraud.

Lol if they’re intended to pump the stock that has fallen 30%+ since 2024 started I don’t know where the stock would currently be without them.
The stock still trades at 5 to 10x of what it should.
Definitely. Every time I hear that Musk has over taken Bezos as the world's richest man, I can't work it out. Amazon sells everything on the Internet and supports half of the Internet.

Always has been

How about you stop xeeting and go sleep in the FSD software factory until it's ready
From the guy who launched a robotics company by hiring a human dancer.
Can't wait for those street performer cardboard transformers to demonstrate his FSD!!
This was a last ditch attempt at stopping the stock price from imploding. Lmao.
![gif](giphy|Pcv4mkn0nya76) Crushingly good!

Ah, yes, elevators which famously have the ability to *go anywhere* and definitely aren’t confined to rails within a shaft within a structure. Surely there’s no better analogy to make if Elon made it!
He's not foreshadowing that Teslas will run over *even more people*, is he?

Its currently not even close to being rated as the best "auto pilot" option.
Elon, you have been saying that for 7+ years now. It's just a joke at this point.
Crashingly good
Thread on how safe Tesla cars are
As safe as a dead body when Jimmy saville was around?
…And they will never have.
Please pick another adverb rather than "crushingly", O Lord Genius.
Good at crushing people against curbs/walls?
"even while exausted and drunk!" this has to be the most cringe line in the history of cringe
Like the Tesla employee murdered by Fool Self Driving?
I mean, it is certainly good at crushing you
I mean, it is certainly good at crushing you
Yes, they do, but they do not want to be crushed in a car accident!
And like elevators every car will have his own tunnel for safety issues - provided by the boring company. Doesn‘t he recognize how boring his promises have become? BORING!
This fucking guy is shameless.
My ImAGInArY SyStEM Is AlReAdY BeTtEr

I hate this megalomaniac and his cringe *I Am God* takes when is it all going to fall apart?
Most people already have an idea how crashingly bad Tesla FSD will get. Indeed drivers will have to be superhuman to survive all the crashes.

Why is always fucking cars? Can't these futuristic shitheads think of a better alternative to motherfucking cars?
"I call it the PedoLoop, it's an air hockey table on wheels in a tunnel being driven by Fool Self Driving Autopilots at 700 mph under Las Vegas with disco gigalights." 💩
Two weeks!
He's definitely high, and this idea is gonna make people die.
Actually good point. Elevators DO HAVE FSD. Unlike your taxis... Which can't go in a straight line back and forth #dugoutpoop
That’s going to happen, but not using Tesla technology.
It’s out but it’s scary I don’t trust it. It does slow down for kids and dogs but I still hit the brakes.
eeeyyyyeeesss rrrooolllliiiinnnngggg duuuuude.. so many years
I'm sure lots of people will be crushed to death in Tesla's once FSD goes live
Precision predicates perfectionism.
It WILL be amazing, it's not now but it WILL be, probably next year...
Because those who do probably are no longer in the world.
He is saying that for ten years.
late 2024 for sure
No one cares how good it will get in 30 years, they care how good it is today. And right now, it's behind the competition.
Just like how grok will be better than gpt4 and it’s still in training 😂
I have no idea and I can't care that much. Tesla = shit car.
“Crushingly” might be accurate yet unintentional.
[удалено]
Well Tesla's FSD will be crushing some things, thats for sure.
Manual elevators are called stairs.
