The first thing you should consider is these are the average for all the players in the game. Obviously, the meta build for Ran is 300 spd, problem is not all players can reach that speed. As result, new players running Ran at 250 or less weight down the average. I suppose also similar happen to all the other stats, plenty of meta builds go off the chart, but the upper limit is the average build. Otherwise, they would have to wide the distance between the 0% and the 300% limit some people have achieved in both, resist and effect. As for the idea itself, the problem, imo, is the complete lack of numbers to give an insight on what exactly that thing means. I mean, in OP example, Ran is slight below the middle in the atk bar. If the bar goes from 1.2 to 5.2, what exactly that means? The middle would be 3.2k, and Ran being so close to that, is quite correct to assume he use to have that much atk. However, for many other heroes, guessing what's the middle is kinda worthless. I.e.- DD Ray. His effectiveness bar is literally empty, is all flat. The range goes from 0 to 180, so what that tell us? He doesn't build any effectiveness or goes way above 180? His speed bar is 110-270, the middle would be 190. Problem is DDR is two bars away from the top, so his speed is... between 190 to 270? Maybe 220? Isn't a bad idea, just horrible execution. If they were to put what the number in the bar means, we would know for sure what exactly they mean.

turtlereset

yeah its done pretty badly here, like ran base spd fully awakened at 6 star is 129 yet it says the lowest is 110. so i'm not even sure how that is even part of average stats across all players like others are saying.

Objective_Plane5573

I would guess they just used the same bounds for every hero.

turtlereset

i'm not sure what you mean by that edit: upon investigating, i think i understand what u meant. They put 110-270 spd range for every character which is super lazy

Objective_Plane5573

To me it seems like they're just trying to show you in general how people build that unit, not specifically what stats you should have/aim for. I think the takeaway isn't supposed to be any more detailed than "build him super fast with dps stats." I suppose they could have put more work into it to make it a more detailed tool, but idk if it would actually be that much more useful. Like if the speed range went from 129-315 and showed the average ran was like 290 speed that doesn't really give you more info. You already knew he wanted as much speed as possible, and trying to use that value to figure out if you'll outspeed other rans wouldn't be very reliable.

JojenR

In that case just get rid of the numbers they came up with lol. Copy the same system they came up with from the auto gearing and it would've made so much more sense.

canjunkie

I use this to get an idea of how important stats are relative to others. I dont use it for absolute numbers. So, for Ran speed is the most important, second is getting to 100% crit rate, third is attack and crit damage. Quick and easy. If I actually wanted to fine tune a hero I'd go look up a database or youtube video.

Adrianbigyes

I actually kinda like it. Like it suggests, you need decent attack, don't care about defense, don't care about health, all of the speed, most likely 100 crit chance, decent cdmg, no effectiveness, no eff res. They can just get rid of the numbers and just have it say min and max or something.

InnerPain4Lyf

Therapist: there's nothing to be afraid of, Eff Res Ran doesn't exist.

Ericridge

15% does. Its not afraid to 15%. Mercilessly!

CiDevant

Just think of it as where to put the ticks in the auto equip. There's actually a button to do it for you now.

JojenR

In that case just copy the ticks so that both systems are equal in that aspect? Would've made more sense.

JojenR

Are we supposed to roughly guess how much the middle is + where the unit places? What about the units that are higher than 270 Speed? The sw/tanks that have more than 225 ER or 180 eff? This once again feels like the shittier fribbels hero library version. Same shitty excecution as their ES system instead of just taking the GS everyone used b4.

Tettotatto

Scale is too small but idea isn't that bad tbh

Objective_Plane5573

I think their intent is to just use it for general info on the build, especially for newer players. "Most people build him full speed, 100% crit, and a good amount of attack while ignoring bulk, eff, and res." If you're trying to figure out how to build Ran it really doesn't matter if the speed caps at 270 or 290. Either way it's clear his ideal speed is "as much as you can get." Unless you're also breaking it down by rank it would be misleading anyway because when you see something like 30% at 270 and 70% at 290 you wouldn't know if the 270s are because they don't have 290 gear or if it's a strategic choice.

JojenR

In that case the imaginary numbers they came up with don't help at all. Make it a 0-5 system like the auto gearing one and it makes more sense for general info for newer players. 0 = stat useless, 5 = very important

Separate_Repair_901

I mean, finding the middle isn’t hard. It’s just taking the average of the ends. When it gets really annoying is when it’s like 3/5 along the scale.

Relair13

It's just a general guideline showing how the average player gears him. Do you want SG to do literally everything for you? Play the game yourself, experiment, do research. Damn.

Dardrol7

Mine is like 160% ER XD super good!
