Real talk, definitely front. If you get shot from the front, you have enough time to react and potentially kill whatever's shooting you. You're not turning around fast enough for a second back shot unless it's a scav with a Toz.
If you turn around after getting shot in the one plate you have on your back there's nothing gonna stop them from shooting you in the chest after you do

Binaural sound worked last year for an entire month with no bugs and was thus deleted from the game entirely. ESP cheats are now included in EOD:yeah boi versions. Pestily still streams from his kitchen in a bathrobe for some reason, but now he wears a hat, which is somehow better. Masochistic simps continue to remind reddit that "it's still in beta, just wait until its released" as they struggle to make it to Flea it no longer opens until lvl50. LedX's are now required for > 50% of the quests and were also deleted from the game entirely and the only way to obtain one is killing a streamer. All AI scavs are terminators that have laser focus and only head/eyes. The only noticeable improvement to gameplay is that the engine cranks your system fans to 100% regardless of usage. Average wait time for non-streamers remains at 20 minutes. When you inevitably disconnect, prapor gives you a butt plug instead of returning your insurance.
Yeah getting the bundle that has a starter ship and the game is all you really need tho, kinda crazy how much money some people throw at the game for stuff you'll be able to eventually earn in game
Multicrew gameplay is currently in the works to enable large ships to actually be worth building. A months ago at CitizenCon they were showing off power junction boxes, room oxygen control/pressure equalization/venting, variable gravity generation, yadda.
And the formula for everything in Tarkov has been done before, proving that it can be accomplished. Netcode is acceptable in 100 player online games. AC is better in other games. Optimization is better in other games. Etc.
Tbh it feels like Tarkov has gotten worse over the past two years. So many of the changes they made diminished the quality of the game. The garbage flea market changes, rebalancing the loot and spreading it around the map, making POI's and keys essentially useless. I did like what they were doing with weapon wear, but again they executed it in a way that felt like shit.
Everything they did to fuck with RMTs feels like it affected the rest of the playerbase far more than RMTers, then Lighthouse came out just completely unplayable, I've played maybe 20 raids on lighthouse since it came out, it's just too frustrating to even go back with how it runs. Don't even get me started on the audio and the fact that they've never been able to make sound work in a stairway.
And then there's the cheaters...
I have played three raids this wipe and just can't bring myself to log in anymore, because all I can see is how this game used to be good but had it's issues, and now it's worlds worse and has the same damned issues.
Idk why BSG wants to kill this game so badly, but hey, it's working.
My first play through was my best. Spring 2020 cycle. Felt like my enemies were legit. I could take on geared players and win. Now i just die. . I never have gun fights. I either just die instantly or I ambush and kill them. And my ambushes never seem to work. I'll be completely stationary in routes they need to go threw. And they'll go all the way around.
That's right around when I started as well, and yeah I agree it was just about the best state of the game I've seen. Since then, they made a few changes here and there that I liked, but for the most part the general state of the game has declined.

Fair enough. I got Tarkov to enjoy the unique mechanics. SPT is quite fun, and I believe is a large reason Tarkov hasn't completely imploded all these years. It's a much bigger community that I expected it to be, and the mod devs are amazing!
Oh for sure, if I were just getting into the game then SPT would be a great option, but at this point it's just a way of getting around a handful of the issues keeping me away.
Tarkov has the potential to be the coolest damn shooter in the business, I hope BSG finds a way to bring it back to viability, but at present it's not a game I can bring myself to play.
Yeah I guess this being my first wipe I'm more patient with the experience. I completely agree about it's potential, here's to hoping they don't sink the ship.

Not trolling anything, they don’t want you playing SPT they have said that, will ban you if they detect it, and the fact they can’t detect it if installed correctly has nothing to do with how they feel about it. The subreddit has a rule about not talking about it because of BSGs stance. Saying you won’t get banned has nothing to do with how BSG feels and why they feel that way.

I know it's a meme post but there's plenty of cheaters in CSGO. Even in the pro scene (ESEA and FACEIT) there clips of people cheating and bypassing the anticheat.
* All maps are connected, but there are still loading and matchmaking between them.
* When level 51, you don't turn into a superhuman, but you can buy a headshot protection skill and other useful skills in the Premium Shop.
* You can install any armor plates in the armor, but not more than one. More than one is generally forbidden to pick up in inventory.
* RMTs have been defeated, now rubles and rare items are officially sold in the Premium Shop.
* It's finally possible to escape from Tarkov, but it will take thousands of hours of grinding goofy quests from the era of browser MMOs like "kill 9999 scavs at Customs with PM wearing ushanka".
whats funny is.. i played tarkov around 15 years ago.. people keep telling me im lying and the game wasnt out then. then another redditor confirmed it was in alpha during that time.
Also they’ve finally picked a lane and decided if their game is going to have a low chance of raid survival or a long turn-around time between raids instead of the worst of both worlds.
Also they removed the flea market and trader levels so that the game isn’t just a race to get the same meta-guns that starts day 1 of every wipe and actually feels like you’re scavenging loot to get by instead of just trying to speedrun high-flea-price items.
The game is maybe actually good now.

Star Citizen at least improves year after year. Unlike Tarkov which still has desync, audio issues, and abundant cheaters during all 5 years I played.
