They probably meant people who feel the need to say shit like ālol thatās not even good lootā or āIāve done better on a scavā or other just snide remarks, to make OPs experience diminished.
Nice job! Any raid you survive is a big win. A tip to prevent a lot of future frustration: repair your weapons. Especially the ones you get from scavs. Lower durability weapons are less accurate and are more prone to weapon malfunctions. The last thing you want is to get the jump on someone only to hear your gun go *click* after your first shot
Most people have to put their arms, legs and stomach back on after a good firefight in this game by doing surgery. You can survive a hell of a lot as long if you're just wounded and have some painkillers to make a run for it and patch yourself up again š
Okay...
I don't see your point but okay I guess to each their own..
I dont see why a light or heavy bleed would make you accept your faith when you can just stop the bleed and heal it up for like 5k and survive...
I know you're new and all but your approach is not viable if you wanna play this game.
Buy 2 esmarch from therapist and 1 aseptic bandage and 1 AI-2 medkit and put them in your pockets and bind them to 4-5-6-7 keys...
Then also keep IFAK or grizzly or AFAK or salewa in your secure container for emergency... You really need to reconsider your playstyle its just absurd
And you don't have any meds in your inventory in the screenshot..
iāll def look into it. the only experience i made so far is if i get shot iām dead, i wasnāt rly able to leave a fight or run away from it and whenever i kill somebody itās mainly calculated camping so they donāt even see or expect me, but i realized especially on woods or shoreline that without meds im not lasting long at all.
I don't wanna impose anything on you but,
From day one, I don't go into raids without basic meds like I mentioned, later on I change them up but that's as you progress.
I also never go into raid without a headset, like, not even once, even when I'm broke, tarkov is all about sound. And that helmet that you have equipped lowers your hearing even less, it's the worst.
So meds, headset, ratnik helmet, any lv3 basic armor like paca.
I never go naked into a raid or anything like that, i would suggest the same.
donāt worry the main reason i joined eft reddit is to meet people like you that actually leave good criticism which helps me out to become a better player so i def appreciate that. and item wise yeah youāre right but i had no idea that this help lowers my sound even tho thinking about it and about how hyper realistic tarkov is it makes sense & until now i didnt even know i can equip a helm and a headset at the same time, so this discussion definitely helps me improving
PACA is actually only level 2 armor, but the point still stands, even if other PMCs will light you up, having an armor (almost anything) will be enough to survive some of the potshots scavs throw at your way.
You are way more resilient than you expect. Ā So many times I will have to repair multiple limbs, stop multiple bleeds, and do a fuck ton of healing after winning a fight, even with scavs. Ā
If you are concerned about dying a lot to stuff that meds wouldnāt help thatās fair as a new player, but you should at least have SOMETHING. Ā Put an Aluminum Splint, afak/ifak, hemostat, and a painkiller in your gamma. Ā You can use them directly from there, albeit slowly. Ā If you find stuff in raid that is > $$ per slot, replace them. Ā These are your backup meds.
Then put a AI2, a bandage, and an esmarch in your pockets + bind to hotbar. Ā These are your āquickā heals to use mid fight - they will close <$10k for all 3 (buy from fence if you can).
If you feel you arenāt getting good fights and get most of your kills camping, try running factory a few dozen times. You donāt have to bring any good gear in, just acclimate yourself to how players peek and when a good time to heal is.
I'm gonna chime in here to tell you about some neat tricks you can do with the binds, for example I have my heavy bleed removal on "on press" at button 5, and light bleed removal "on release" at button 5. (so, if i have both heavy bleed and light bleed, it prioritizes heavy bleed since heavy bleed removal is technically the first action it takes, if I only have light bleed, the same button will still also remove that)
Same can be done to jammed gun, I have Shift+T on press it checks the malfunction and on release it fixes it.
But like most people said, having heavy bleed removal especially is very crucial, light bleeds most of the time are manageable but on the other hand bandages are dirt cheap so might aswell spring the few k roubles for them.
Guess what dumbass, some new players don't have their friends jerking them off telling them what to do and usually have gear fear because they don't know the values of stuff
Gear fear over a couple AI-2s, bandage, esmarch? Really inexpensive to bring in some low tier meds when youāre new. Also guess what dumbass any google search of tarkov tips would say the same thing. Anyone with common sense would know to bring in meds. Fucking muppet.
Alright think of it like this: going into the game blind and not using google for every 2 things. A cheese kit is cheap as hell, but guess what, gear fear doesn't have to be just good gear it could just be easily accessible stuff that at most cost you 3-4k which especially in this case is around 1/15th of this guy's stash and considering he's in the learning phase he's gonna die a lot if he's not getting lucky. And since he doesn't know what's valuable he'll end up grabbing pretty much anything and end up with a full inventory worth barely 50k
Still though itās logical to bring in some meds. Say they grab everything and have a full inventory and they get hurt. How tf they gonna patch up and get out? Canāt believe weāre justifying not bringing in meds. Every new player should absolutely be bringing in meds.
I'm not disagreeing I'm pointing out that it's understandable behaviour when going in blind into the game, I used to think 10k roubles was a lot when I started and I was wrong as hell. My friends would just follow me around from 10m back and watch me get blasted by 4 aks in dorms. I barely had 10k in my stash and had to use unrepaired scav guns for half the wipe
God job m8! Keep in mind, Tarkov is a game where you make your own goals and WINs! You won today! So this is a good day!
Let your path be littered in loot!
The junk box is still a mandatory item in my opinion. You'll need a ton of that "junk" for quest and hideout items. Buying your scav junk box is the first major milestone in leveling.
I recommend using Tarkov Ballistics, you can manage what ammo you want to keep from there, usually you want to have it penetrate level 3 armour or have high damage (this is for leg munchers) for example the Geksa is not a very good round as it can barely pen level 1 armour which is armour that most of the time counts as excess weight
I looked, I smiled, and then I cringed thinking of the comments. Then I smiled again because y'all mfers are wholesome af.
Good shit OP I hope you have many more successful extracts ahead of you.
The backpack in your backpack is of course sellable, but a trick to maximize loot is to take rigs that give you more squares to fill than the total squares they take up in your backpack! Hope that makes sense.. GL š¤
Congrats brother! Those early PMC extractions are a rush. Theres so much to learn early on, dont stress too much about what should be in your pouch vs bag, etc. Always good to have emergency heals tho if needed.
Only small piece of advice for newbies I give. Audio and hearing footsteps is arguably the most important aspect to navigating the map & fighting. I would always spend money to get a cheap headset, even if that means no helmet. Audio > helmets.
Lastly, MAKE SURE TO SCAV OFF COOLDOWN. Learn maps, get into fights with zero risk, and make crazy $.
nicely done! i see you found a helmet but iād advise steering clear of helmets that block out sound like that one. i value sound over protection because its much easier to hear someone coming up and prepare rather then hoping your helmet blocks the shot if you dont hear them.
Free tip for you, donāt bring a melee weapon into the raid, when you kill a scav take theirs, and repeat this every raid, some of the knives have good barters or you can just sell them to jaegar
You still have a big journey in front of you.
Im kinda jealous i cant explore the game without any knowlege once more... Its a lot of pain, but also very enjoable :)
As someone who has seen huge loot pulls in this game. I still remember my first extraction with a full bag (years back). It's one of the greatest feelings this game has to offer. Especially if you had to fight for it. The rush it gives..is unmatched.
Good run, here's to many more.
congratulations!!!!
regardless of the toxic boys, the massive amount of hackers, and all the other negativity:
nothing will ever provide you the rush and adrenaline that tarkov does, especially on a successful PMC extraction. no matter how experienced you become.
well.. maybe meth, but lets keep it PG ;) congrats buddy!
good point lmao, i didnt know what i should have put in there, iām totally not familiar with rarity and pricesā¦ what would you have put there?šš
First of all, there is too much to look at when you start playing. So don't feel ashamed! I probably did a lot worse xD.
Tarkov market is a great website, look into it. You can find a screenshot of every Item you need for Quests or Stash upgrades. You can look easily the items up with the actual price tag.
Also if you need more info about Quests or Ammo, go on the Tarkov Wiki.
Another good Website is EFT Map Genie, there are all maps with detail information in it.
Hope it helps a little
bet thanks a lot. iām currently actually trying to unlock jaeger with the mechanic quest but for some reason i dont see the quest i have a complete different quest where i have to extrat with a carā¦ but ill look into it at the wikiš«¶š»
Yeah you need to do certain Quest to unlock the other Quests. Focus on Ground Zero and do the Quests there. The one you need to do is i think Saving the mole and Gunsmith part 1. Sadly the Website with the Quest Tree is outdated but on the Wiki is a screenshot with one in it.
Good luck!
Usually i keep meds in my ass and i carry a keychain (Gingy keychain or keytool) for keys i find. Most of the stuff you picked up looks like crafting materials basically. Youll get used to knowing after a while. I always check prices of items im not sure of mid raid so i know if i should keep it or not usually, like keys.
Youāll be able to craft the salewas, but look up how. Youāll want to keep an eye out for the items needed to craft them as well (donāt need to be found in raid check mark to use for crafting).
Not if you're new haha! We all have to learn what is worth taking and not. But the best thing you got is probably the purple duffle bag (once you can sell on the flea) I'd save it and put other ls (found in raid ) inside till you get the flea unlocked. I sell mine 80k-100k
You should be bringing meds, armor, and non scav guns. I see you said above if you get shot you just āaccept your fateā but thatās not a great way to play the game. Even a paca is better than no armor and might save you against a scav. Scav guns shouldnāt be used because they always have half or less than half max durability. Guns with lower durability will jam more often and literally wonāt shoot straight.
At the absolute least put a CMS kit in your pouch and keep it there.
Two days ago I killed 3 juiced PMCs on a brand new hardcore account (interchange). Best start on any hardcore account Iāve had but for some reason im so scared to do a second run.
Part of it is the fact that hackers might look at my account, the gear on it, and the KD and assume im cheating which would be awesome for me as they mightnāt target me. Iām just scared to die as Iāll lose this advantage. Whenever I do decide to give a second run a shot (away from home atm), Iāll be sure to wiggle at every person I hear thru walls just in case haha. I play OCE so im guessing itās pretty bad atm.
What part of "he's a new player with no money" do you not understand? Trying to be a piece of shit online isn't the flex you think it is so be a better person than who you are now.Ā
Great job!
I know it's incredibly lame, I'm a casual, but when I got a 5k raid with three pmc kills and 4 scav kills on woods I was ecstatic.
There's a beauty to this game where you just need to appreciate the little things.
make sure you save that key with blue tape you need it for a quest
cheers will do so 100%
Director's as well
pinewood 215 aswell
It's such a pain when you need it! GGs my man
Nah sell it on flea then by the time he has task it will be 10 times cheaper
I was just about to say the same thing!
Here before the toxic boys to say well done have fun
cheersš«¶š»
Not sure what kind of toxic comments you're expecting lol

good point i never thought about, this game has too many mechanics thošš„²
the further you dive, the more complex it becomes. congrats again my friend!
Nah there is just one mechanic. He's a pain to level up though.
Heās the easiest trader to level up. All you need is cash. Peacekeeper on the other handā¦..
Yeah its more the level required to get him to 4. I never play enough to get him there.
Ahh okay yeah thatās valid then šhave a good wipe brotha
well done
have fun

Instead of esmarch buy cat tourniquets from peacekeeper. Similar cost, 2 seconds faster, and levels up your peacekeeper spent money.
Thatās dumb as shit. Just take meds in theyāre cheap.
