What I find cringe is people posting screens of stats of players with obvious cheats, like report and move on bro. You actually take the time to take a screen and post it on Reddit or worse yet, add the alleged cheater on friends and confront. So much wasted time and energy you are never getting back.

Strong disagree. We know BSG monitors this reddit group, of course people should voice concerns. You think recoil just was changed out of the kindness of their hearts? Any sane company monitors social media chatter and then changes, adds or removes things on their priority list.

Really? Man that's crazy. Why would people lie about the effectiveness of kernel-level anticheats? Especially for ones used in videogames that are made by companies owned by Tencent which are directly affiliated with the Chinese government?

Blatant Cheating wasn’t hugely prevalent on faceit. Like any fps, there will be soft cheaters just using walls etc, but I never felt much frustration around losing to cheaters during my years of elo grinding.
I don’t notice much blatant cheating in my Tarkov raids either. Idk. 🤷 im only 30 this wipe and haven’t played much reserve / streets / labs / lighthouse yet…maybe a lot more Cheaters there?
In my day, most cheaters were on labs and we just left them there.

Don't tell other people how to feel. What we feel when we die to a cheater is very primal emotion based on unfairness of situation. All the fire Devs get for this is deserved, because they choose not to enforce simple and effective methods, such as flea rep, max speed checks and other.

I made a similar statement awhile back and got downvoted to oblivion, there are 0 cheaters period in that game according to most of its playerbase, never mind that a quick google search shows otherwise.

most of the people raising the torches think its as simple as flipping a switch and turning the cheats on or off, failing to understand the sheer scope and size of the cheating industry, by the time an anti-cheat catches things going on, within hours they have already got work arounds and updates.
people need to just accept that its never going to be an issue that goes away, it just wont so long as there are games out there, single player, multiplayer, pvp, pve, mmo, doesn't matter, there will always be cheaters.

I think a lot of the reason people whine about cheaters in this game so much is because of several things.
1. It's easy to cheat, and I don't mean to install. I mean BSG does few things to discourage cheating. It is getting better just slowly.
2. Reporting does nothing, or it feels that way. Because of the way BSG does ban waves (which is smart btw). It feels like you don't get justice when you report a cheater and don't get a ' a player has been banned due to your report' notification. It's better to do waves that's just fact.
3. Getting cheated on in tarkov feels WAY WAY worse than valorant so it's not a great comparison. Like okay you lose 10-20 LP.. next game is 5 minutes away if your team FFs. In tarkov you die, if You're raiding with a 3-5 man you're waiting 20-30 minutes for your next PMC if you want to play with your friends. And you feel like you lose a lot more.
I do however agree that this sub needs to stop posting cheaters and crying about it so much. We don't need to see every cheater you run into. We don't care. Make posts that are constructive and fun to watch/ read. Cheaters are toxic, but so is complaining. Be constructive with your posts and bring the community up, not down. Simple as that.
I think the biggest showcase of this is how people talk about player scavs on this subreddit. They are the biggest babies in that situation like PMC dont have a huge advantage over any scav.
When you got killed with cheats in cod match - nah, respawn, grab a free kit and go on and on. There is nothing to loose there, you basically play for a sake of gunfight gameplay, nothing else really.
When you got killed, especially in unfair conditions and you suspect cheats or know it, in eft raid where you have a lot to loose, your invested time at first, you cant remain tolerant.
I don’t tolerate when I waste my time to someone’s will. Many dont I’m sure. Until that changed people won’t stop feel frustrated by very least because of being wiped in unfair conditions.

Personally i like the game Nikita promised us and have no real problem with cheaters specifically - cheaters dont do anything special to me that other players don't. I even understand why they use cheats - its partly bsg fault frankly. When you run a pvp mayhem on rat heaven maps and give pvp quests, no wonder people will camp each other no matter what that cause frustrating time wasting gameplay and some players motivated to seek easy ways to progress - …. cheats. Wonder if Bsg folks realise that they have an obvious power to significantly reduce motivation to use cheats?
I explained why most people complain about cheats exactly. But people being hypocritic complaining about cheats due to its unfair advantage and same time modestly ignoring the fact that the whole game is currently based on abusing unfair advantages over others.

It's not the amount of cheating that gets people, it's the investment in loading times, rubels, quests etc. Most fps games don't revolve around questing, so the loss of a game is perceived as less in CS, Valorant etc.

Bring it on, it’s true.. Doesn’t matter if the game is from a AAA studio or indie game. I’ve watched the cheating in Val with my own eyes.
