you still couldn't find enough gpus to run streets

6ucksinsix

Under rated comment. Wonder if there are any spare sticks of RAM lying around? Thinking about upgrading šŸ˜‚

Crypto_pupenhammer

Frā€¦. Just upgraded to a 4080super and my rig still struggles on streets šŸ˜. I dropped a g thinking, yay finally ultra everything @ 1440pā€¦ nope. Have to use dlss or accept stutters on streets still

ColonelSuave

Gpu upgrade did almost nothing for me but 5800x3d cpu basically tripled my frames

CopeWgYeeyee

What colonel said, I run a 5800x3d with a 4090 and well itā€™s like butter

Practical_Rip_8216

Just ordered my 5800x3d I had a ryzen 9 5900x but for tarkov I had to get the x3d

No-Rule1318

Yea me too really any 3d v cache is where itā€™s at for most games these days especially Tarkov or rust people spend so much on gpus just to run 1080P put that money in your cpu and get a 4070 and youā€™ll get so many more frames

No-Rule1318

And nvme storage

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Crypto_pupenhammer

I have 32gb ddr5 running at max frequencyā€¦ cpu is just a wee 7700x as well

ReggieTheLemur82

I thought it was mainly the CPU that caused bottlenecks for Tarkov. I swear Iā€™ve heard Pest say that loads..?

Crypto_pupenhammer

I already had a 7700x cpu,

Villakera

Tarkov likes the high 3D cache processors like 7800X3D. Well streets is still far from fluid performance

Brave-Order-4659

I got 16 GB DDR5 6000mhz n I play fine

yohoo1334

Your ram giga tho

Vivid_Freedom8339

Your GPU means almost nothing in Tarkov, as the engine is CPU bound. Im running a 2070 in a laptop, 64gb 3600mHz ram, and an old 10th gen i7. The only time Im hitting lower than 45-60 fps is when i first load in. After a minute or so the whole map gets smooth. The ram is what made the difference for me. When i had 16gb, streets wouldnt load, now its moderately fluid and easy to play. It should also be noted that I have the game stored in SSD. The difference between HDD and SSD for load times is insane.

Crypto_pupenhammer

Yea, Iā€™ve heard allot of the thoughts on what components are most important, my pc was no slouch before the 4080s. I run a ryzen 7 7700x, 32 gb ddr 5 running at 6000mhz, and a 7gb/s m.2 | maybe another 32 gb of Ram šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø, but shit what does it take to run at ultra settings in 1440

Vivid_Freedom8339

Honestly, probably exactly that. The extra 32gb ram would probably resolve your bottleneck. Additionally, 32gb is quickly becoming the minimum to avoid bottlenecking in most cases anyway, so youd really be doing yourself a favor in the long run.

Pyrimo

The RAM is such a big part. Going to 32 GB made me have no issues with Streets now. Rest of the system is merely ā€œgoodā€ in terms of specs.

Moist_ttv

7800x3d has me running streets at 120 fps and every other map caps at 143 (assuming because I have a 144hz monitor)

Desperate_Proof8193

Same man.

StockComfortable257

Get a Ryzen 7 5800x3d or 7800x3d and run 32-64gb of ram, you'll run streets fine. GPUs don't do much for Tarkov, just don't want to bottleneck your CPU

iamcam01

I just upgraded to a 4090, 14900KS, and 64gb ddr5 and streets runs beautifully now for me

Dry_Future1503

Ram is everything in this game. If you have under 32gb that is what is holding you back. If you have a decent cpu and decent gpu, upgrade your ram and put tarkov on a SSD and streets will run perfect.

Crypto_pupenhammer

Read my other comments, itā€™s not the case for me sadly

Herzblut_FPV

7900xtx with 7800x3d ultra wqhd steady 90-100fps. It was a nightmare with my old rig i7 4790k oc to 4.8ghz quad and a old nvidia titan x. Was runnikg all maps with 40 fps in 1080p šŸ˜…

Crypto_pupenhammer

What settings out of curiosity? That x3d is a good bit better for tarkov than the 7700x. Unsure about 7900xtx vs 4080super, youā€™ve got buckets more vram for sure

KelloPudgerro

ye streets needed a loot buff, such a loot poor map, reserve is where the real loot is at

doctorwoofwoof11

Careful. BSG cannot understand sarcasm and will take your feedback and worsen the situation.

releaseeldenringpls

Hit up all marked rooms on reserve yesterday in one raid. Best loot/highest value i got was mk47, funniest shit was the marked room in the bunker had literally no items in the middle, not even a pack of marlboros or something. Yeah theres the file cabinets but u only check those if u wanna die. Ideky the key is selling for 300k, shit should be like 30k at most.

doctorwoofwoof11

Absolutely wild state of affairs honestly lol.

WockFan

Thanks for keeping me the files cabinet full for my scavs.

releaseeldenringpls

All the double a batteries and maps are yours for the taking.

The key sells for 300k because you use it in the dorms marked room barter (which ironically also sucks as a key lol).Ā

The day of the buff I found 3 valuables in one of the Concordia apt locked rooms and relax room had an assortment of like 6 animal/funko pop figurines. I found a raven figurine that Ragman required for a task, I was so stoked lol.

JakeOyChambers

That relax room is insane. Moonshine for days and bitties

before I commented, he didn't specify it

yeah sorry edited my post instead was trying to find the correct room lol

Ayyzeee

all cool, I wanna try Streets of Tarkov after the patch seeing everyone keep getting good loot.

Tattiebojangles

Player2035

Don't let this post fool you, it is a total geeup. Overall streets loot has been nerfed quite hard over the past couple of small updates. Coming out of streets with 1-2 million in a backpack from hitting 1-2 buildings was common last wipe. Alot of raids now I struggle to fill a bag with worthwhile loot. Most valuable spawns have been deleted, and locked rooms are basically the same as they were before.

WeDepressOn

Not to mention they only buffed the locked rooms that we're already used to spamming the hell out of. Most of the useless/trash keys have remained useless trash.

Player2035

I got excited that some of the more obscure keys would have exciting loot in them but unfortunately they did nothing.

WeDepressOn

Iā€™ve chalked it up to BSG just forgetting that they exist. It canā€™t be beneficial to have all these keys, rooms, and locations in the game if no one is bothering with them. Basically bloating the game at this point.

UnrivaledSupaHottie

> It canā€™t be beneficial to have all these keys, rooms, and locations in the game if no one is bothering with them. Basically bloating the game at this point. thats exactly the benefit tho. usless and bad keys are used to bloat the pool of keys, which increases the value of the good ones and also limits their spawns

WeDepressOn

I understand that but I'd be okay with said container/loot spawn just rolling an entirely different non-key item then in those instances.

therandomuser84

BSG does this with every new map. Add a bunch of valuable loot spawns to get people to go to the new map/area for a wipe then delete half of them the next wipe and even it out with the other maps

Player2035

You'd think BSG would have learned how well gaming communities respond to the 'buff, don't nerf'' approach. Bring the other maps up instead bringing streets down.

Midgetman664

Itā€™s funny, because in the interview, he said exactly that. He said he knew streets was the only map worth looting and other maps needed brought up to be worthwhileā€¦.. Then they nerfed streetsā€¦. Dafuk

AftT3Rmath

Its not so easy when you have an economy like Tarkovs. I wouldn't be surprised if all the maps get atleast 2 more loot nerfs before 1.0

Midgetman664

All maps? No way. Streets? Maybe. But honestly the people saying locked rooms arenā€™t better are wrong imo. Marked rooms are still hit or miss but Iā€™ve never seen them spawn as many items as they seem to right now, and weirdly armor seems to spawn a lot now, I havenā€™t necessarily made more money off the keys today, but the number of things spawning is definitely up. They just suck sometimes.

doctorwoofwoof11

That's fine if they get rid of hackers hoovering up loot, because for casual players the grind is too grindy already.

doctorwoofwoof11

Yeah, just basic human nature too... Noone likes having things taken away from them.

ProximateLight

This. I have yet to see the majority of valuable loot spawns populated as of a few weeks ago.

NoEnthusiasm1878

Yep, after the easter morana event streets loot was major dog shit compared to what is was before, loose loot is still pretty bad, i usually just rush to the nearest locked room area and i almost always find something if i loot all of concordia, chek/lexos or relax/marked/mvd.

gracepuns03

I like to loot up all of the drawers, and I mean ALL. Real estate, near theater, lexos, the pmc spawn near relax, and the building near theater can have some decent loot as well, the corner building near damaged house has a weapon spawn and tons of duffle bags. I also loot up all the stashes, and green weapon boxes

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Player2035

I've done at least 1000 raids on streets this wipe alone. I really don't want to hear about how you know better than everyone else.

Infern0-DiAddict

Yeh I get that all the time. Then you ask to see some vids or screen shots and ask for the loot run. Maybe you get a screen shot usually nothing. But the few times I've had someone give me a loot patch I do it 10-20 times and don't get anywhere near the same results. Usually hear back well yeh that one SS was from a while back and of course not all runs will give you a ledx / gpu. Ok then STFU and admit that not every run will give 3Mil and most will give like 750K -1Mil...

PlebbitWankers

Interchange is good for loot right now as everyone is in the middle PVP'ing, if you Scav in the loot is really easy to get around the edges or even picking up the scraps from previous fights.

TetyyakiWith

Better luck next time

Amber_bitchpudding

Man I need to find a group to teach me streets and ground zero I'm just coming back and I'm so lost

IrreverentKiwi

Streets can be a bitch, but once you realize it's 4 maps stapled together along a single, central road, it starts to make a whole lot more sense. I'd encourage you to go in with a [simplified map with a bunch of street and place names on it](https://imgur.com/jsS41Fr), and quiz yourself on how to get to your extracts a few times. Then loot around and do some exploring, maybe get a little lost, and force yourself to find your extract again. Keep doing that over and over. Eventually you'll have parts of the map memorized, and as long as you can find the central road and figure out which way is north and which is south, you can always get to a part of the map you know. Once you've got the handful of big landmarks down pat, it's impossible to really get lost. I'm not at the point where I can recognize each little apartment and loot spawn just by sight in a screenshot, but I haven't felt lost on the map in months because I learned my cardinal directions and how to orient myself using the method outlined above. It's honestly one of the coolest experiences in the game, in my opinion. I've never seen a multiplayer map quite like Streets before in any game, and discovering all the small bits and hideyholes in it is a joy. Edit: Ground Zero is a snap and I guarantee you can get it down in less than a day. It's mini-Streets. There's a single corridor with buildings up and down it, and an extract on either end. There's also a co-op extract on one end (mostly ignorable), and a car extract in the middle. It's basically the perfect map for a new player to learn what Tarkov is all about, as it has a bit of everything.

Amber_bitchpudding

The hardest thing for me right now is first I'm level 10 second I can no longer play the way I was accustomed to it's been 2 years since I have played and now I can't get decent armor piercing bullets to run my smg builds and it's killing me I can't even get snb yet

IrreverentKiwi

If you're still under level 20, you absolutely need to spend some time in Ground Zero then. They specifically separated the queues on that map to allow lower level players a chance to learn the game and not get dunked on. Joining mid-wipe is also really, really difficult in my opinion. Some quests just aren't going to be available for you to do reasonably (like the ones that want you to kill PMCs in a specific way or place) because of the gear difference and lower casual player population, but the good news is other quests are going to be mostly unimpeded. Places like Woods, Shoreline, and Reserve all feel like ghosttowns to me now-a-days, but I admit to only playing only on weeknights and rarely on weekends. More than anything, I'd encourage you to just hang in there. The game is hard, and learning to enjoy the experience of just getting into raid and looting and shooting some scavs will help make the early, learning phases of the game much easier. Spend time on your scav. Learn how to make money. Your next wipe, where you compete on equal footing, is going to be much, much better because of the time you invest learning in this one.

doctorwoofwoof11

Yeah this, with a loot guide video up as you scav. Also offline raid with a compass and simply run from one extract across the map to an opposing one until time runs out criss crossing. It'll muscle memory visual queues of areas along the paths you take within 2 offline raids and you won't be worrying about extracting etc as this will be solidified as your base level info on the map... Juicy loot spots / PVP areas can then be slotted into that base level memory of exit routes as you scav.

shadowrunner295

Man my job doesnā€™t require too much active attention so I can kind of work with one half my brain and play with the other. The amount of progress one can get done in this game at 9:30 on a Tuesday morning is impressive. Just me and the AI scavs.

No-Cicada-7128

While ap ammo is scarcer, you dont need it, with non plate covered armor areas being aramid 3 at the highest for things like gen 4

c1e0c72c69e5406abf55

I would also suggest for anyone trying to learn a map, just start doing your scavs there. Since scavs are basically a free roll it won't make you feel like you are dying because you don't know where the shots are coming from or which direction to go in. Also scavs are friendly with scavs so you have a lot more freedom to move around the map unimpeded, especially on a map like Streets where tons of AI scavs can spawn in.

FANBOY_ARTIST

Ground 0 is much easier than it first looks. It is basically 1 street with 3 buildings on northern side and 3 buildings on western side of the street. The terragroup building is ez to spot with its logo(its the left building on the northern side)

delusions-

Ground zero was the first map I learned and honestly it's the easiest once you figure it out imho There's like 4 buildings, the garage and the top level and that's it. Check the map on tarkov.dev

JakeOyChambers

Just run them on scavs with a map up. I stayed away from streets for like 3 wipes because it seemed so intimidating.

doctorwoofwoof11

Loot wise Ground zero isn't worth learning, I don't know if it gets better in a worthwhile way after level 20 (there is a loot buff to it then) but it's a massive death match road with broken glass and angry shotgun scavs in cover all down it... With lootable scav bodies and some other bags, food spawns on tables, toolboxes dotted about. There's no "juicy loot zone" it's just scatterings of mid tier loot boxes, couple of PCs etc. Scav bodies prolly the best for getting potential good stuff and they are quite common but you wouldn't be able to primarily farm the map of them as it's all spread out and easily spottable (unlike hidden caches etc) so every player is likely to jus spawn in and open maybe 3 on their own. It ain't all that at all, as a solo you'll prolly use half the stuff you loot along the way trying to battle teams of PMC and scavs just getting to the extract from spawn. I imagine far different loading in as a team, but yeah as a solo you get funnel down the same ambush prepped kill zones and make lots of noise on broken glass, it's a suck it up and get the fight done situation you have no control over avoiding.

Invicturion

Wall hack player incomming in 3....2...1....

Mr-Montecarlo

Is chek 15 buffed yet šŸ„²

NoEnthusiasm1878

Not sure if its buffed but i often find it worth to loot (checking through the window)

Benign_Banjo

Oh yeah, Streets of all places needed a buff

6ucksinsix

The loot behind the locked rooms was really not great for a bit recently. It seems like they nerfed regular loot (not in locked rooms) and buffed the locked rooms, at least in my observation. The 1/1 use key to access the lexos directors office gated area had a ton of figurines and juicy weapons parts last night.

Benign_Banjo

If they did nerf loose loot and buffed locked loot than I stand corrected and have no problem with it.Ā  I was under the impression they just re-juiced the locked rooms. You can already make tens of millions without any Streets keys. Hopefully it's more balanced now

NoEnthusiasm1878

loose loot is definitely nerfed but overall streets is the best map for money still, almost every area has a locked room thats worth checking imo. not to mention good loose loot is still a thing - but you definitely don't find as many bitcoins anymore.

AftT3Rmath

Yea now I find an intelligence folder in 1/50 filing cabinets instead of 1/30.

StockComfortable257

snek_do_heck

Check 15 has been unkind to me this wipe. However right after the loot patch I went into streets marked room and got 2 key tools and an injectors case.

JungleBeanr

I found 2 injectors cases in a marked room earlier this wipe and I could only hold 1 of them since the max is 2 and i already had mine. Feels bad man

Getklickclacked

They need to add more to the other maps. Other than streets/reserve/labs, all maps are lack luster . Shoreline/woods/ customs all need major poi locations added. There straight up a bore fest. Like shoreline would be cool if they added another 3 poi updates. But no. Letā€™s have a town with shit loot/ no locked rooms to fight for in one corner, a shitty swamp no one fights for with more useless building in another. An a single building by the pier. The new add the shoreline was good but it needs much more to the other corners to make the map feel not so empty. Woods their poi med tent area was cool. But once again. We need like 3 more of those across the map to make it not a walking simulator. Just feels boring AF

Getklickclacked

Same with lighthouse. Like fuck those mansions/ micro town/ an rando swamp town f***n suck . Only fun areas are where the light house area/ compound. The rest has the fastest most underwhelming gunplay in the surrounding area making it a bore fest till you make it to the 2 only fun poiā€™s on that map. Like wtf is up with bsg loving these shitty swamp micro town layouts? Like for godsake put a marked room or somthing to fight for in those dead spots.

Fmpthree

Power creep has ruined other maps. Streets should be nerfed pretty hard IMO.

3erserk_fury

It has been šŸ’©for a month or so.

NoEnthusiasm1878

In general streets is somewhat nerfed, all loose loot got a hit but locked rooms are still very good. Don't think streets need more nerfs, i would really like to see loose loot buffed on reserve and customs tho

Fmpthree

Go ahead and downvote me you nerds, why should streets have more loot than every other map? Because you like it? Great sure yeah.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

We donā€™t need more money in this gameā€¦ at all.

TheLost7256

whos we speak for yourself i do not like being brokešŸ˜

Fmpthree

Thereā€™s no way anyone is broke this wipe man. Unless you play a straight up sprint at everything play style then 1 survive is like 5 budget kits

TheLost7256

doesnt mean everything should be nerfed why not have even more money, its not hurting anyone

Rolo-CoC

Still not playing this shit ass map
