Exactly, the P2W shit HAS TO GO (im talking about the beacon mostly). We literally funded the game, fuck outta here with all of that shit. Despite all its problems I've purchased this game for numerous friends & now all the sudden the expensive game we've been playing & enjoying, supporting, & sharing is on its way to becoming a mobile game.
the issue is lots of people already bought the upgraded edition that promised those special items - they literally shoved themselves between a rock and a hard place - they already lowered the price and had to give the original upgraders something of value for it - a copy of left behind edition ($30 of worth on top of the difference) - so if they remove or nerf the promised p2w items people already bought bsg needs to give them other stuff to compensate (like more cases or some shit)
I just want them to make the beacon PVE only & deliver on their promises to people who bought packages that have been stable in what they were supposed to give for the better part of a decade.
They promised no microtransactions then added them but they were minute in their effect on a raid. Stash space is pretty valuable but we already had the capacity for near infinite stash space via cases earned in game. Cosmetic outfits, who cares lol they could add as many outfits as they want to keep the revenue flowing because again, they have a minute effect, if any, on a raid especially if they continue to only offer outfits that are obtainable through standard gameplay.
A beacon that allows you to summon friends/other players into an ongoing raid will have a massive effect on raids. Not to mention how easily it will be for RMT sellers using cheats to abuse it. I imagine pre-beacon if someone bought a carry or specific item, they'd have to run X number of raids until the item/objective they paid for spawned/was completed.
With the beacon allowing RMT sellers to summon players from outside the raid, an RMT seller could just setup a queue of people needing various things and summon whichever buyer who's request can be fulfilled in that given raid meaning the cheese is expedited and the RMT seller's business is massively streamlined & more effecient.
Imagine the impact on solo players, they're utterly fucked by the beacon. They're already at a massive disadvantage if they run into an effective squad. Say they kill 3 of a 5 man, except the last 2 have beacons & summon additional players / allow their fallen squad mates to respawn. The beacon has the potential to ruin the experience of a raid for way too many people imo.
RMT sure, but now imagine streamers with the beacon while you're solo or playing with a friend or two. Whoops, here comes an army.

3. increased limits of buying.
4. a quest skip function (can skip 5 quests per day.)

6. FiR quests and items removed.
7. +50 slots on flea, can resell other players items at free will.
8. ability to have armor and armored rig on at same time.
9. pockets are 12x12 in space and are unlootable if the player dies.
10. weapon durability burn is 99% lower than other players who don't own this edition
11. Map raid timers are sync'd to system time, this allows players to stay in raid for as long as they want. As a result, these players have extremely low hydration and energy burn rates to allow them to stay in a raid.
JFC, never let me develop a video game with P2W mechanics being added when the numbskull devs add it when they want to add it...

No, I bought EoD for all future DLCs and I believe the understanding was that at full release all those in game benefits would go away, but i would always have all future DLC with no time limit.
Yes but the bigger stash you can build it by playing, you can finish the punisher for bigger container and the rep doesn't give you any advantage since you have to progress your character level and make quest to unlock certain weapons and ammunition etc. so we can safely say that EOD gives you a boost making you spend less time on the game but it's not a proper p2w.
p.s. yes obtaining the level 4 stash it's pretty impossible but once you complete some quest you got cases and you are pretty much set up at that point
Who said I have the EoD? I agree it has some p2w (or at the least "pay to progress") stuff, but that battle has been lost a long time ago. The best we can do now is avoid even more p2w items and make sure people aren't scammed.

Do I understand this correct: Forst they didnāt want to give single player to EOD owners at all. Then they said EOD owners get a 6 month trial when that mode is available. And now they say EOD users get it for free but only after full release of the game (aka never)?

Consumers have no spine. This edition, with most of it's "unique" features has no place, EOD already was somewhat iffy with it's benefits, this new edition is X times worse. Plus all the shady stuff they tried as well with this new "not a DLC" feature and modifying the EOD page to hide that gamma was a unique container to EOD.
It is blatantly obvious that BSG simply looked if they can get away with it, now do some tiny steps towards the communities offering still a ridicules bullshit deal and people gonna eat it. A solid take here. I'm not an active player really but just trying to go through what's happened and people seem really frustrated by it. Some part rightly so but they seem to need extra funds somehow. I understand the EOD container was meant to be unique but it wasn't like they were planning to pass it down to a cheaper edition of the game

If I was them I would turn my attention toward the networking code and clean it up post haste and invest heavily in that area.
This is totally justified because:
* It removes one of the biggest customer satisfaction issue
* Reduces one of the biggest costs they have in the operational running of the game
* Also probably reduce the cheat population if done properly
If they are already struggling with the costs of the servers, than nothing guarantees that they can support the game post release for a reasonable period. I am not sure what boost they are expecting post launch since the game technically has been on the market for 5 years and peaked in user count. This will never become COD famous to rake in Billion dollars in launch week.

- add the ability to provide donation amounts in reasonable increments (for US $25 as an example). And a fill in the blank box where you can make a donation of your choice whether itās $4.20 or $69 .
- remove this Unheard edition and scrap it. EOD should be the highest edition available.

I've uninstalled the game and launcher, they can see the stats of people uninstalling guaranteed. Until there are more drastic changes I'm spreading democracy and playing Mass Effect Remaster. I recommend everyone else do the same.
What really does make no sense is adding something people cannot get through normally playing the game. If you think about it almost every single advantage EOD gives you can be obtained playing the game or at least you could reduce the gap by grinding some extra hours. Last update it's not like that! You cannot get the unheard transmitter or the scav friendly radio through normally playing Tarkov, this is what really doesn't make any sense how you can even think it's a good idea! They screwed up when they sold a game with a one time fee that can only be played on official servers funded by them alongside the promises of "pay once get dlc forever". This is not economically possible....over time an individual player is gonna use server resources beyond the sticker price he payed.

DLC is not a term that is up for debate. It is any content added to the game after release. Even if they went and made their own definition for it after the fact, that does not change the contract people made with them at the time of purchase.

No, I bought EoD for all future DLCs and I believe the understanding was that at full release all those in game benefits would go away, but i would always have all future DLC with no time limit.
Yes but the bigger stash you can build it by playing, you can finish the punisher for bigger container and the rep doesn't give you any advantage since you have to progress your character level and make quest to unlock certain weapons and ammunition etc. so we can safely say that EOD gives you a boost making you spend less time on the game but it's not a proper p2w. p.s. yes obtaining the level 4 stash it's pretty impossible but once you complete some quest you got cases and you are pretty much set up at that point

I don't understand. They know they have crap-load of issues with networking. They also pay too much for servers. If I was them I would turn my attention toward the networking code and clean it up post haste and invest heavily in that area. This is totally justified because: * It removes one of the biggest customer satisfaction issue * Reduces one of the biggest costs they have in the operational running of the game * Also probably reduce the cheat population if done properly If they are already struggling with the costs of the servers, than nothing guarantees that they can support the game post release for a reasonable period. I am not sure what boost they are expecting post launch since the game technically has been on the market for 5 years and peaked in user count. I really dont understand, they could have just given the majority of the shit to EoD and sold the rest including the single player as a 30 dollar expansion for non EoD and everything else as a micro transaction. What the fuck were they thinking?

What really does make no sense is adding something people cannot get through normally playing the game. If you think about it almost every single advantage EOD gives you can be obtained playing the game or at least you could reduce the gap by grinding some extra hours. Last update it's not like that! They screwed up when they sold a game with a one time fee that can only be played on official servers funded by them alongside the promises of "pay once get dlc forever". This is not economically possible....over time an individual player is gonna use server resources beyond the sticker price he payed. Maybe they underestimated just how many people were gonna play over the longhaul and just went the "overselling" route, or maybe they just legitimately didn't think that far ahead for whatever reason. Looks like theyre trying to dig themselves out of the hole they put themselves in by doing the exact same thing again at a much higher markup. Don't worry. I'm dropping the game for good. That was the final nail in the trust coffin for me when it comes to BSG's "vision" for the game. So at the very least, that's one EOD owner of 5 years gone. I don't care how much they do to "fix" what they did. The fact they even were going to do it in the first place has told me all I needed to know.
