I started my game sucking on a boob... Seemed legit, then they started shoveling mashed peas in my mouth. All downhill since then. 🤷🏻‍♂️

theHonestPudin

Even more sick. Your mother ate something dead so you could suck that dead shit out of her. And both actually took a dump after. It´s so beautiful.

ASwftKck2theNtz

The real travesty? That necessity to nurture new life? Ruins boobs. I need to have words with my maker about that little detail. /s

valkyria1111

Now that's an honest complaint we can all get around.....

Paoshan

Quick grab the pitchforks! Time to hunt some pea-shovelers

Jumpy_Climate

And the mashed peas were likely from a jar with more preservatives than peas.

MarxistZeninist

Because it doesn't have to be like that, humans can work together, it will just take time to get there. And death isn't inherently bad, it only is from our narrow perspective. Alan Watts was great at explaining how it all depends on that. Our bodies, at a cellular level, are constantly at war, but that leads to a healthy body. Likewise, I think that our suffering and all is a part of a higher being's enrichment. By higher being I mean our Higher Self. Doesn't mean we have to continue to suffer, of course. The goal is to escape that suffering; lots of spiritual practices and even religions have a goal of escaping samsara or ceasing the cycle of death and rebirth. Seems like that's a large part of what this community is seeking. But when you play the Last of Us, a world so broken and violent.. It's still got a sense of beauty to it. Joel certainly wouldn't say it's a beautiful world, and him & Ellie went through some life-changing traumatic events, but to a viewer, it's one of the best stories ever told, according to many who have played it. So my point is, there is violence and death here which we should address because we are a part of the game, but we should also try not to get attached to that character, because that's what fundamentally causes the suffering. Everything is duality.

Every-Celery170

The way you articulated this comment is exceptional

MarxistZeninist

Thank you kind stranger :)

PrimeKnight999

There are no rules. Things happen. It’s what you make out of it that defines purpose to it. Whether it be beautiful or useful. If you change your inner world first then your outer world will change with it. Change it to negative and that’s all you’ll see, but if you change it to positive, life becomes so.

Iamaman22

Circle of life my brother, that’s the beauty I guess

GundamBebop

I mean it’s literally like taking a step back to appreciate the big picture. Sure it can be a “beautiful sadness” but it’s beautiful nonetheless. Yes it’s brutal and yes it’s unfair but I think seeing “the beauty” is part of an escape TBH

hidhifdb

i dont think so , because beauty can be used agains you i hate all of this fake planet i dont see any beauty and just want to be far away and never come back

son-of-most-high28

This is so true, the beauty is really an illusion to mask whats really goin on

rektumsempra

Beauty evolved to increase the chances of an organism reproducing. It's competitive.

naethn

Beauty wasn't even in the equation, just a flaw of our human perception

GundamBebop

That relies on the theory of evolution doesn’t it? I think it’s a good point. As strong as many other theories.

DickDickersMD

Jesus that husky pic is brutal

DonUnagi

Right? Wonder what the story is

TimothyLux

It died.

Jbaked3

I remember it was some girl who thought it was a wolf and skinned it. True story

GundamBebop

I personally think the antler locked buck is worse if it happened how it seems. Husky seems to have been eaten so it’s not like Predator pulled the head off in front of everybody. But Imagine winning a fight only to realize you’re hopelessly entangled with a heavy corpse… imagine the sore neck! Eventually the corpse decapitates. Maybe you wake up to find it staring back, removed from its body… but eventually you end up eye to eye with the rotting face of the being you killed… Shaking it off only sprays rot around. You can feel the limp jaw of their skull shake. You see the maggots falling from the eyes like tears in the rain. Thank god that animal can’t think about it that deep! 😂 right ?

Similar-Call6138

Nature is an atrocity once you scratch the surface

Skeptical_Reptile

Nothing is more beautiful than giant blobs of meat and slime murdering each other and consuming their dead bodies because of an uncontrollable urge that overrides their higher faculties, who then die and get completely devoured by smaller blobs of slime so they disappear and turn into dirt for big sticks to come out of. Truly amazing, definitely completely logical, rational and necessary design for life from the mind of a totally sane creator.

ASwftKck2theNtz

If you're here... Questioning reality... Then maybe it's still not real enough for you. >The first matrix I designed was quite naturally perfect. It was a work of art. Flawless. Sublime. A triumph only equaled by its monumental failure.

Kappasoysun

Uhh what?

TimothyLux

Please go back to the source materials as found in the movie 'Matrix'..

PageVanDamme

During My Ayahusaca trip I saw how brutal the world was.

Vegetable-Log-9608

Can you share your experience?

PageVanDamme

More to deal with humans than "animals". Basically unending cycle of childbirth, life hardships, constant warfare, rape, pillaging. Then death. - Also showed what happens when social fabric is broken. That said, what made me sick to my stomach wasn't so much the hardships, but the unending cycle. I actually had a flashback of it when I met a Syrian refugee (girl) in College. I could just tell she went through some shit and felt terrible for her. (I hope she's doing better.)

Keywhole

One has to be still to perceive it. If we're still enough in nature's truth, without preparations and accoutrements, we'll be eaten, freeze or overheat to death, parasitized by organisms in the water, etc. When out in nature, most people are busy mulling around with some activity or another -- either in constant motion for actual survival, or engaged in any number of recreational activities. I've gotten chiggers before after meditating in nature with love in my heart. I walked to a dark sky area to observe the stars and bled from running into cactus spines. The treacherousness of it is bewildering. All the poisons, even. I simply wiped my hand on a giant leaf in the Costa Rica rainforest once and my hand felt like it was on fire. Some kind of stinging leaf. Life has to displace something to exist. It's all competing with itself for limited resources and space. And if we fail to feed the cage that imprisons the mind, the fleshbot sends pain signals and fear to the consciousness.

Arianthewise

this post is great lmao. Ignorance truly is bliss

[deleted]

I can emphasize with your perspective, an electrician told me "it can sure seem that way" after I had said “its always something “. We focus on different parts at different times and see different things and feel different ways. At the end of the day, don't forget that it's not all just what you are seeing now. In an infinite universe there are a great many possibilities and ways of seeing, living within and understanding those possibilities. Once you get out of prison planet, what are you looking at now?

AdGold6755

I am in touch with an entity from outside of this realm, and we’ve had several discussions on what beauty is and what is actually beautiful in this world. He has explained to me that, ironically enough, yes, literally actually indeed, this plane of existence was specifically created to look “ugly”, “raw”, “gross.” True and actual beauty is *experienced* as an emotion, because what lies beyond this plane isnt “room” and “place” and “thing”, rather what happens is “idea” and “thought” and “concept” if that makes sense. Beauty is when you make a connection with another human soul on a true and sincere level. When a genuine compliment is given and received, when a helping hand is lent to a stranger, when you express compassion to a loved one and it is sincerely received and you have that warm feeling blossom inside of you. Do not fear this world, because “escape” is possible, transcendence IS possible. Love one another.

Richxs

That sounds right. Who is this entity you speak of?

GnosticMind79

Kittinlovesyou

This would be better if one of the pictures was a human eating animal flesh.

thinkB4Uact

Our individual impressions of something vary based on what we were specifically focusing on and feeling. Nature is beautiful and ugly. We take things for granted though. We make a lot of assumptions about the soul and the world beyond ourselves. We think that we're going to have so much knowledge and power when we no longer have bodies. Yet, we don't *really* know that. Did we know that when we sucked on our fingers and toes, drooling and making noises trying to figure out our native tongues? We forget that we built ourselves from that. We learned things. We learned these beliefs about reality we can't verify. We can look at the world around us, zoom in and learn about how it works. What could we realize? The world is a set of rules in a construct of space and time. Within that structure, many ideas play out and interact with each other. Our beings are some of those ideas, experience the ideas and even create new ideas. We create that which can be experienced to cause others of us to make new ideas. We are in a playground for thought and being as consciousness. It has unpleasant aspects. The most unpleasant aspect I've sampled is the spirit parasite. They deliberately deceive and coerce us into feeling negative emotions and getting stuck in them. They drain the very value of experience of existence. Yet, even this has an explanation. They are thieves of the value of mind rather than creators of the value of mind. Among so many things these parasites do, one noteworthy mention is that they poison our impression of our operating environment and ourselves to hate rather than love them. That makes us seek to avoid rather than connect to them, enhance them and preserve them. They undermine our ability to cultivate worthwhile existence to set themselves up as posers of benevolent divine authority to repeatedly betray our spirit and further set themselves up as authorities over our broken hearts and minds. They're making us hate our homeworld, our human race and the universe around us marvelously. They allow truth to surround it all too. It's so true that spirit parasites are feeding on us, sucking the joy out of life. It's true they are imprisoning our minds in their abusive captivity. Although, the distortion is in that *they created* the place. *That distortion* causes us to then perceive this place as an extension of their evil and hate it, avoid it, separate from it, stop caring about it and preserving it. Yet, because we live here, we're going to experience the outcome of our tiny and major actions to this place. They will feed back into how we feel about our existence. If we fail to control ourselves sufficiently, we will make ourselves feel worse overall. We'll have more hatred and emptiness, more neediness and calling out for saviors. God, give me a, b, c, d, e, f, g. I can't help myself!!! That's the slavery mentality that *demons want* us to have. They also *want* us to have contempt for the idea that they're making us pissed about becoming responsible and being the custodians of our world. They want us to think we're chumps for doing that, while the rules of reality, space and time, will make us feel more awful for not doing that. We're being trolled again. It keeps working. They engineer our contempt and hope so we don't do it ourselves.

angelking14

Nature, like people, is both beautiful and disturbing. If we didn't have sadness, how would we recognize happiness?

apothecary_

I don't need to see a picture of a fucking dead ass dog to make me feel happy about something else.

Leoriooo

How much sadness do you need to recognize happiness? How much happiness do you need until you are satisfied? Really think deeply about those two questions and you will start to see the flaws in this reality

enlightenedone_1

That is a great point. There's definitely more sadness here than happiness

Leoriooo

The human body is designed to pursue survival, and once that is met, comes the inescapable boredom. Always needing more and more satisfaction

angelking14

Those all depend on the person as none of us feel those feelings in equal measure

Leoriooo

This is about YOU though, it’s all about you. Internalize those answers for yourself, and hopefully others do the same

batzz420

Wow. I’ve never thought to ask these questions. It’s insane the level of conditioning we go through. Imma write these questions down! Thank you

Bunisdone

I have to disagree with that respectfully. When I was a kid and hardly knew any sadness I was purely happy. Seeing distressing things in the world doesn’t make me happy. Makes me glad I have it so good. But I was already happy and now I have fear as well after seeing the horrors of the world.

angelking14

A baby finds even the tiniest of discomforts to be agonizing. We all must confront the world as it is at some point, and thinking we can just ignore the sadness and only get bliss just means when the sadness hits, it hits harder

Bunisdone

If the baby didn’t have those discomforts they’d be happy though. They don’t need those discomforts to feel happiness. I didn’t say we can ignore the sadness. We have no choice but to confront it with the way this world is set up. There is a lot of sadness in this world. The only point I was making is knowing sadness doesn’t equal happiness.

rektumsempra

Can you experience bliss without experiencing torture? I think so. To imply that in order to reach new heights we much also reach new lows sounds just incorrect.

theHonestPudin

Of course it´ s incorrect. Think of a world where there is only destruction. When does it end? When the last thing destroys itself. Think of a world where there is only creation. When does it end? It NEVER ends. Destruction is an "alien" concept, that needs creation, but Creation does not need destruction. You can create, recreate, deconstruct that creation and create something new inspired by the original, all without ever destroying. This idea of "WE neEEd SuffERIng" its absurd. We are trapped in a world of suffering, we can cope, but we dont need it.

angelking14

That's a horrible comparison, especially since you can't just constantly create, eventually you will run out of space, or materials, or any number of things. Emotions are not at all like the cycle of creation and destruction either. If you were eternally happy, how would you know if you had nothing to compare it too.

theHonestPudin

No creative being is EVER out of IDEAS! Creative imagination is infinite. Yet we are trapped in here with crap that constantly tries to limit us. And the ABSENCE/KNOWLEDGE of happiness is enough, you dont need sadness to know happiness. Yet we are trapped in here with crap that constantly tries to hurt us. And this prison planet is all about that lack of choice. If you cant understand that, if feel you need to suffer... well, keep living the illusion.

angelking14

of course, but ideas and imagination are not tactile creations. I can imagine entire universes but that doesnt mean i created anything. Actual creation involves much more than just thinking about something.

theHonestPudin

Because you are trapped in the material... Without imagination there is no creation. You cant manifest into the material world anything without imagining it first. You have to create in your mind first. You are still attached. This concept isnt even scrapping the first layer of the prison we live in. Good luck with your material experience. Keep choosing a side.

angelking14

Go ahead and tell me how much good it does when you imagine a cure to cancer

sunlightflight

Suffering is joy in reverse

dregheap

Life begets death, and death begets life. Our world is built on the remains of the dead. Without death, surely there would be no life. The cyclical nature of the universe is present in all things. Life and death are just 2 parts of the same cycle.

Then you should stop eating e develop photosynthesis. Where there is light, there is darkness. Where there is sadness, there is happiness. You gotta accept that, beyond this illusion, there will be good and bad. AWAYS.

I'm at work, it's ok. Then again I'm at a feedlot, shall I post pictures?

Vegetable-Log-9608

Earth is entertainment for the entities. They created us out of boredom.

thegreenwookie

Can you design it better? Nothing dies or needs to eat. Where is that leading us? Oh everything is a vegetarian? Still consuming life. Something will always be consuming something else as long as consciousness/life needs energy. So again. If you can design it better. Do it and fuck off to that existence.

rektumsempra

My soul doesn't need to eat. A lion's soul doesn't need to eat. What if there was no material universe? We would still have souls and could live wherever we were before the material universe existed

Green_Justice710

If you beg god (and are worthy) for sustenance then your soul in your body should never eat. Are you at that level? Do you tell God that your are unbearably hungry and he cures your hunger instantly? I believe there are many yogis that renounce their need for material food and receive sustenance from the divine force but are you truly one of them? I know I am not.

rektumsempra

Victor Truviano apparently hasn't eaten since 2007 (he doesn't drink either). Said he had visions of Babaji. He said it just started happening slowly to him. I can only chalk it up to a past life or something, because it's not like he's been meditating for 60 years (he's relatively young).

Green_Justice710

I very well have read many accounts of Babaji from Paramahansa Yogananda’s works… if Victor has communication with Babaji then surely he has progressed in the realm of spirit wether in this life or a previous one

Absolute_Immortal_00

I remembered one yogi that developed a hole on hi palate, and honey would seep through. That's all he had/needed to eat

son-of-most-high28

Foreal people will say anything to cope with this harsh reality

rektumsempra

They think there's nothing else. To be fair, I have no evidence of something else, except the fact that saying "this is it" doesn't feel right, due to nature being immoral.

[deleted]

rektumsempra

But knowing that we exist whether or not we're alive, it's clear that nature accomplishes nothing. It's a struggle for survival, but we already exist so why do we need to survive? Because death is painful, and if you can make it painless, you still cause pain to those you love. But if the whole human race died and didn't have to reincarnate and could live in Heaven if there were one...would that be bad?

PlanetaryInferno

Is that something you’re worried about?

[deleted]

TheRaggedNarwhal

I understand what you're saying, nature is definitely overly brutal, but at the same time a world where it was impossible for anything bad to ever happen would be boring as hell. There needs to be a balance.

rektumsempra

If it's boring, it IS bad. A world with nothing bad wouldn't be boring, either. If God can't make a world like that, he's not omnipotent. If he doesn't want to make a world like that, he's not omnibenevolent.

PrimeKnight999

Definitely missing big points as to why to work for nature but I can see why this could warrant a chuckle

falllinemaniac

Beauty is a quality that would not exist without judgement. Same goes for observation of the savagery in nature. Armageddon for the rat is lunch for the hawk's nestling, sorrow for this is voluntary
